Thanks for all the support. It really does mean a lot. I wish I could say that I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but right now I don't... this weekend I get to work Sat night at minimum. I have a scheduled task for 7PM tonight, as well. Unfortunately, when you do hosted software (think: internet applications), you have to do all of your upgrades after hours as to not impact someone else's workday.

Oh, and yes, I think I am a Peep this week. Unfortunately y'all get me next week and TOM may interfere...

I know that the numbers may not look pretty...but we did really well...less people...more total weight loss percent!!:cool1: :thumbsup2

The other detail is that their #1 for week 2 had two oral surgeries that week....so if someone wants to punch me and get my jaw wired shut..I will sacrafice my Easter Food for some kick butt numbers....

I say we do this again next month and since our numbers look good with less people...we do it with a thread vs thread month challenge..I'll still reckognize the top 5 from both sides and still do magnets..but I want to show how great we are.....maybe the third month we will do total weight loss or change it up again with logged in excersize.....

but I will tell ya guys this...we never have people not posting their true weight and not admitting to gaining....very few on the other team do...I think that a few have and as such...dropped out of posting...

I am not saying they cheat at all... what I am saying is that we are fully honest and committed to our food in the good, bad and ugly and we should be proud we face our fears and flaws in food and this is not a quick challenge but a life long journey..

That being said....screw the bunny and do not eat any chocolate cause we gotta win #3 and #4 weeks to have a prayer....

I am not gonna like sending magnets...if I have to..I will dip mine in peanut butter and chocoloate and they will be tempted to eat every time they smell it in the kitchen!!! Scratch and sniff Magnets!!!:rotfl: :lmao:

The job I am interviewing for tomorrow is with another government defense contractor. It is another project management position butwill double my salary. I see a DVC purchase in my future...:yay: Notice my priorities, I didn't say college fund, or home improvements...:laughing:

I am packing me now...we are supposed to get up to 3 inches of snw tonight so that may deter us inleaving right away because driving in rush hour in a snowy commute is not fun if not mandatory....

Hey Guys! I think i finally kicked the germs butt! Finally feeling better, was able to jump back on the treadmill today, only for a half hour, but i hadn't been able to do anything since tuesday morning without hacking up a lung!

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! I have to work til 3 tomorrow then hop in the car to drive the five-ish hours up to Bruce's family in the Adirondacks, only to turn around Sunday afternoon and drive back :rolleyes: And BRUCE doesn't have to work tomorrow....punk.

Everyone have a safe and happy weekend. I'll be back on Sunday... I'll be missing you all of course! :cool1:

Sadly, the clam shells will be a bit large for me! :sad2: Why is it that every time I lose weight, that is the first place it comes off??? SO unfair! I keep telling you guys...under all of this fat I really am PETITE! You just can't tell....:rotfl2:

S: 1 bag ff popcorn (180)
D: 1 Banquet chicken meal (400), 1/2 cup fiber one (60) w/ 6 strawberries (20) and 1/4 cup milk (20)
Total, 955. Exercise, none. Water, 64 oz (maybe more, still drinking).

Hope tomorrow is a better day. Found out today I will be working Sat night too. They all suck! :laughing:
 
Good morning everyone....

Here it is - almost 11:00AM and no posts for the day..... I suspect it will be a quiet weekend - posting wise anyways - due to the holidays so I thought I would drop in to say hi to everyone.

I hope you are all having a better week than I am food wise. I am jsut not that motivated this week for some reason. It is probably all the stress from work (Kat - how do you deal with it all????) but my heart is just not into it this week. I am trying to refocus myself to get goint again, but it has been really hard lately.... I mean I haven't even exercised in almost 10 ten days.... This is something I am going to talk to my JC consultant about at my next appointment.

In the meantime - any tips on how to restart your motivation?

Happy Friday everyone! Yikes! I hope the reason it is so quiet is not because everyone doesn't want to weigh in! Today is weigh-day, remember! I am down 2.4 to 138...finally, the 130s! It has been hard to get here!

Just back for the gym (as always) and am having a hard time typing...smashed a finger in the weights...ye-ouch!

Paula--it is natural for your motivation levels to ebb and flow, so I wouldn't sweat it too much. Whether you do JC or WW or South Beach or whatever....it just gets REALLY hard to keep it up week in and week out. Even if you love the program. It can just get monotonous.

The best way to get your motivation for exercise back is to....well, exercise! Seriously, if you can just FORCE yourself to get the first workout in, you will realize how much you (and your body) missed it. You feel so much better after your work out...not just physically, but it will mentally slap your brain back into motivation mode.

So try to think of what you want to do for exercise today. WATP? Pool? BL DVD? Choose what you will do and at what time you will do it....then for the rest of the day, picture yourself doing that activity. When the time comes, you will be ready to tackle the exercise.

Think about this also....you have already come SO FAR! My goodness...two and three sizes in clothes!?!?! That is AMAZING. It makes you feel good knowing that you are in those smaller sizes, doesn't it? You would be SO ticked if you went back to those bigger sizes....you want to keep going DOWN DOWN DOWN!

You have been SO strong since the beginning of our little group here, it only makes sense to falter a little. So let us be strong for you for a bit. Tell you what...I will make a deal with you...I am already done with my workout for the day, but if you get a workout in today, I will add a second one in matching the amount of minutes you do. So, if at 7pm you post that you just finished a 60-minute workout, that means I have to do another 60 minutes today. Deal? C'mon....make me have to sweat...again!

You CAN do this and it IS worth it! :hug:
 
You know, goof, i was actually thinking about this on my drive in today...

For me I have three levels... moderately content, moderately unhappy, and extremely unhappy/stressed. Moderately content, I can watch my food intake and don't have as much issues with food/weight. Moderately unhappy, and I eat everything in sight. Extremely unhappy/stressed, and I am almost too stressed or unhappy to eat. Or when it is a stress/too much work thing, I don't want to take the time to prepare or eat food when it doesn't even really appeal to me anyhow.

Here even though my hours have been sucking completely lately, I do feel like I am valued and that my work means something. So, even though I am go-go-go stressed and feel completely overwhelmed sometimes, I am not really outright *unhappy*, if that makes sense.


On that note I was 176.2 again this morning so that is my official weigh-in. That is -1.6 from last week.

You are too kind to stop and listen to me. I think this whole up and down roller coaster I have been on for work is starting to take its toll on my mind... My weight has not been the top priority lately as a result and I see myself sliding back into my old habits as a result.

You are right in that I just need to get back on the horse. I will go home and work out for 45 minutes (I think I am going with my WATP DVD since I am not sure if my muscles are ready for the BLDVD.)

I'll be sure to post my results when I am done. Thanks for offering to match my exercise time, but you really don't have to. Knowing that I am accountable to someone should get me back in the saddle again.

Kat - I think you hit the nail on the head... I have no problem working like a dog if I feel that my time and efforts are valued. Right now, I have been getting nothing but the run around from my bosses when I am looking for a straight answer from them. When I am stressed, I tend to mindlessly eat and it is usually carb loaded sweets that go into my mouth...

I am hopeful that this situation at work will be resolved soon. I have a meeting with my boss (finally after a month of going back and forth) where I can hopefully lay it out there and get some answers. In the meantime, I am working on my resume' just in case. It makes me sick that if this issue can't get resolved, I have to go job hunting, but I am not sure what else can be done.
