In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

LIZ--HI LAR IOUS on the BFA! So funny. Of course, I can't join, though.

Cathie--I agree with Nancy 100% on this. It *can* be a good lunch, but needs tweaking. Her suggestions are the exact ones I would make.

Nancy/Paula--we have known about the heli for ages. You just weren't paying attention. We've even seen pictures of it. But I find it SO funny that Lyz is willing to go up in it without the door on! Wowza! I mean, RnR is one thing, but this...yikes!

Paula--glad Mom is good. How was JC tonight?

Cathie--yes, I always have a water bottle with me. Always. I keep a case in my car so I am never without or if I forget to refill at home or whatever. I'm like an alcoholic with water, I swear. I have bottles stashed everywhere...in my office at home, in my office at work, in my secretary's desk at work (in case I forget to replenish the stash I have in my own desk), at my parents' house, and you get the idea. Also, I always have a gym bag in my car with everything I would need for a workout. In case I ever have an unexpected hour of downtime waiting for something. I just do a quick change and go for a run or do a core workout, etc. My office at work is pretty funny. Instead of books on my bookshelves I have hand weights and my old running shoes (again, in case I need to head out for a run). And I removed all of the regular chairs and replaced them with exercise balls. So even when someone comes into my office for a meeting, the only thing to sit on is the chair-height exercise balls.

Glad Mom is doing well after her surgery. Today's Monday. How'd things go?

Sorry - forgot to mention it earlier, but since you and Erika asked I lost .4 pounds. As I told Deb tonight, I am feeling a bit more in control about my eating, but not there yet. So my plan for the week remains the same as last weeks. So need to get my sweet tooth under control and TOM is not helping at all...

Thanks for the well wishes on mom. She is a little cranky, but otherwise doing well. Argh...

Erika - its official - you are a freak!!! Totally love you for it, but a freak none the less... :rotfl:

Cathie - hang in there. I know this seems like a lot of information coming at you all at once, but try not to let it overwhelm you. Focus on making one change at a time and you will get there. You did great with swapping egg whites for whole eggs and now you are working on water instead of soda. Get that under control and then you can start to manage your love of cheese. Kat may think I am talking blasphamy here, but you can learn to lie with less cheese in your life - in time. Just give yourself the time to do get there.

Hi guys. I'm so tired that I can't even think, but I just wanted to pop in to say hello.

Erika - its official - you are a freak!!! Totally love you for it, but a freak none the less... :rotfl:

Eh, what can I say. It's part of my charm. :lmao:

Congrats on the loss. At least you are back headed in the right direction. :thumbsup2

WOO HOO...just like the old days...put the thread to bed and am waking it back up again! Let's go team! A new day!

You can be the mascot! ;)

and after I thought about it a bit, I realized we had seen the heli before. I think it just scares the bejezzus outta me so much that I blocked it from my memory

:woohoo: The loss is great, Paula. And the feeling of regaining control is even better! This is going to be a good week, I can feel it.

Cathie - Paula is right! A lot of info out there and it can be overwhelming. My #1 suggestion is you arm yourself with information. Compare labels. Do a check on serving sizes so you can see if you are in the ball park with what you are eating.

Maybe get a book of food counts (I have The Complete Book of Food Counts by Corrine Netzger for example) or utilize websites (ex: foodcount.com) to give you good estimates on foods that have no nutrition labels.

At the end of the day, calories "out" must exceed calories "in" to lose weight. How you get those calories is entirely up to you.

Gym day today (yesterday we biked. Oh how I love being outside!). Yesterday Seth promised to kick my a$$ when gets home. He and his room mate were discussing the most evil of workouts that they are required to do - their plan is to break me. Nice, huh?

Bwahahahaha

It's not a scary thing to me. I mean if you're going down a door isn't really going to help, lol. Seriously, my husband is nothing if not fully capable and focused.

;) You (freakshow) will love every minute of it. When is Seth coming home? (Sorry if you already told us and I missed it.)

Kat - thanks for the details. I was right. Bonus room. Scary how well we know each other, isn't it.

Paula - a loss! Woot woot.

Leanne - you had a loss too!

Dawn - exercising 3 weeks in a row! Awesome!

EriKa - when you say "almost done shopping" - do you mean everyone or just the most important, the kids?

I am going shopping today. Headed to Columbus and Toys R Us. Got to get this wrapped up. Liz - Emily want Zhu Zhu pets? Madeline does and that's all she's asked for. I think she's alittle old, so I'm going to try and get a few components. I considered a real hampster or guinea pig for a few days but saw a thread on the budget board titled something like "Remind me why I don't do hampsters" and there were 3 pages of angst. Wake up call.

I hope so - I could use a good week right now.

so true! I remember a day when I had eaten so much before lunch that dinner was basically sauteed spinach and garlic (yummy) because I had no more calories left for the day.

Nancy - keep him away from me! Having one twenty something guy kick my butt is enough thank you. :rotfl:

Ugh - need sleep this morning. Was up half the night worrying about my mom. She is fine, but every little noise or movement and I was up to check on her. Of course the last thing I said to her this morning before heading for work was argh!! pirate: It is too funny - kind of like when your dog has to wear the cone of shame after surgery.

Anyways - feeling good today. Lots to do at work and a workout planned for tonight. Let's keep it this way!!!

Next Friday (the 20th). I told him yesterday that his sisters goal while he's home is to have him regain the weight that he lost, which btw is now about 20 pounds :sad2: He's not going to have any civilian clothes that fit him!

Nancy - keep him away from me! Having one twenty something guy kick my butt is enough thank you. :rotfl:

I'll be sure to take notes and share them with you

:rotfl2: The cone of shame. Your poor mom! So, who's cooking family dinner tonight? :confused3

I had a really good strength workout at the gym today. There were several guys there that I'd never seen before. I don't know if they were visiting, just joined or what - but they were definitely more intense than the usual crew there. This one guy was doing push-ups with his feet on a bench, his hands on dumbbells and *somehow* he managed to put a 45lb weight plate on his back. :confused3 I offered to help him out, but he smiled and said "it's ok, I'm good" - and truly he was. I'd be on my face with broken teeth and a bloody nose if I ever attempted that on my own!

Hi Everyone,

Im at work, feeling a bit blah - its TOM. Trying my hardest not to stick my face in the Tin O' Sin, so far I have declined but I can't say how long for.....

Hope everyone is having a better day! Be back later :upsidedow

Kelly! Step away from the tin. It's evil and you don't want it. Really.

That reminds me. Have any of you seen the commercial for, umm...????....I think it maybe actually Yoplait yogurt....where the woman is in the store yelling at the cake with a cowboy teddy bear on it? Hilarious.

On my way out for a run. Nancy, get your whistle out. I am going to need you to ask me for my workout tonight...core included!

Hey everybody! I got my workout in - did 14 miles on the bike tonight. I need to venture in further and get in an upper body workout of some kind. I'm tired from it, but a good kind of tired.

I had my press release photo today (our marketing guru said it looked fine, but I hate pics of myself). She pulled a double wammy and made me take my Team Player picture for the award I earned last month.

OMG, so happy right now. Sitting here getting my work done and I have TWO episodes of AR to catch up on and then tonight's BL. :goodvibes And you know I almost never watch tv. But tonight I am just needing it...and at least I am getting work done to boot! (Cause you know I never do just one thing at a time!)

Good. That'll give you plenty of distraction while you do your core workout, now won't it. ;)

Hey gang...

Great workout tonight - lots of weighted squats and lunges and for the first time ever, I did my three sets of inchworms without having to stop in the middle of them. Huge victory for me as it has taken me what seems like forever to do that.

Mom is doing well. Family dinner was pizza and wings so no one had to cook. She can't do any real lifting for a while, so we all have to step up and do the shopping, laundry, cooking and such for a while. Mom need the break so this is a good thing.

I am off to catch up on some TV myself tonight. For the first time in like weeks, I did not bring work home with me tonight so I can do as I please - yeah!!!! Me and the couch have some catching up to do.

Have a great night everyone...

I've had a bit of a bleh day. Good workout this morning, did get my water in, but my food choices have been not so hot. Not necessarily unhealthy choices, but just not the ones I should have made. As a result, I just feel ick tonight.

Paula - Pizza and wings sounds yummy. :woohoo: on the inchworms!
