In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

CONGRATS PAULA! :cheer2::cheer2:

I do love to read so I will definitely start Twilight again after I am done with the new Dan Brown book. Boy, with being home during recovery, you would think I would have been able to get more reading done. I feel so far behind you guys ;)

I am reading the new Dan Brown as well. Just downloaded it to my Kindle. But I won't let myself read it unless I am on the elliptical or spin bike.

Saying that I did "well" maybe exaggerating a bit. Better. But not perfect, that's for sure. I did get in a good workout, drank my water. However, I did have one little gingersnap cookie at work - I find them so.hard. to resist when they are warm right out of the oven :rolleyes1 And Stephen poured me a glass of wine tonight. Small. Restaurant size, so for me that's teensy. I did drink it, but didn't go back for more. So, minor victory there. I need to locate my wagon before I can dust it off and get back on it!

I wasn't perfect either, but like you, I did ok. Better than I have in the last few weeks. Tomorrow will be even better. :thumbsup2

How do you like the Kindle? I have thought about getting one or putting it on my Christmas list. :thumbsup2

LOVE IT. Seriously, I have nothing bad to say about it. Perfect. It was love right out of the box. No learning curve on how to use it. Just easy and perfect from the first second. If you are a big reader, it is a must have. If you have any specific questions, just ask. :goodvibes

GOOD MORNING LADIES!

 Time to get up and moving! I have the day off from work today, so a solid workout is on my agenda, followed by grocery shopping (wheee) and a haircut. I had been thinking I would run outside today, but it appears that the rain is moving in earlier than I had anticipated so I may opt for indoor, which doesn't make me very happy. :headache:

Oh. And before I forget, I need to figure out my goals for the day and write them down. :thumbsup2

Well, good job for day numero uno!

Yep. Can't stand that woman either. I don't think she's mean like Vicki was, just....clueless. She always looks so confused - like she can't possibly understand why people there don't like her. Dumba$$.

Ugh, YES!!!! She is an idiot. I can't believe they didn't vote her off when they had the chance. I was spitting mad.

Morning. Still have to get the kiddos to school. Let them sleep in a bit since they are SO miserably tired since getting back from vacation.

I have a good run planned for today, too, Nancy. And upper body strength workout.

Good Morning!

Paula - I am so proud! I am seriously writing down today's date so when I can hit my 80 pound loss - I will look back and say I know how Paula felt! It is beyond fantastic!

Lyz - How is the pup?

Nancy - glad you made better choices - they all count.

I did not make good food choices last night.

Baylor - went to the neighbors house after school and when he left, he left through their garage. They have their garage door opener inside the garage right by the garage door, vs the door leading to the house and it is high on the wall.

He pushed the botton, door moved and he did not move his hand out of the way fast enough for the rollers. We ended up in the ER from 3:30-7:30 because our local ER has 1 doc and we were already 4 deep. The cut was deep but not very long so only two stitches.

The best response though was when we were driving there, Baylor said, "October is not my month." :rotfl2::lmao::thumbsup2

Anyway I missed my planned snack and dinner and was STARVING when I got home.

Ate a few quick things and more than what I should have because I was just grabbing and shoveling - not measuring at all. :scared1:

After water aerobics today I am going to spend some time packaging snacks into the right size/portion control so I have them handy if I ever have to fly out the door again. I am also going to go through some food options from what I have here that is a 300-400 calorie meal so I know my plan ahead of time if in a rush.

I also did not drink water like I should have at all - maybe 4 glasses at max so starting with water this morning.

K - making kids breakfast and off to water aerobics with AMY. I will let you know if I cry or not! ;)

Well, Marvin seems ok. He could go 5 more months and be seizure free. No rhyme or reason.

Dawn - just think Jillian today. I think it's kinda exciting. Someone to push you hard.

Good Morning all...

I am starting to catch up on all of the missed sleep from the weekend, but I am not quite there yet. I'll be mainlining caffeine for the better part of the morning I think.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. The really sucky thing about yesterday was that I was way too tired to actually enjoy the accomplishment (I actually drove past the exit on the highway that I need to take to get to the JC Center last night) so I need to get my happy dance on today to celebrate. It is Tuesday Night Dinner tonight so I can celebrate then right? I have no idea what mom is making, but I think I may be eating JC since I ate like crap for the past few days and I am feeling the effects of it all. Need to eat clean to feel good you know?

Dawn - enjoy your class. So happy that you found something that you like. I really miss my water aerobics classes because they were fun and somewhat liberating because it was easier to move in the water than on land. I know you were looking into Personal Training. I can't say enough positive things about my experiences with it. I love it!!! The biggest recommendation I can give you is to make sure you connect with your trainer and that your personality's mesh. You will soon dread going if you don't like the person or they just bug you. Buy the small package to get a feel for it and then commit to long term (that's what I did).

Erika - welcome home!!! The TR was fantastic and I so want to be at WDW right now... I also kind of want to be curled up on the couch surrounded by my friends from the hundred acre wood like Kelly too. That is a precious picture.

Lyz - Hope the puppy dog is feeling better soon and that the flu finally decides to leave your household.

Nancy - enjoy your day off and congrats to Becca on her confirmation. That is a wonderful milestone to reach. Hope you all had a great day on Sunday to celebrate it.

Kelly - I am loving your stories from the gym. So happy to see that you are liking it. How exciting about the Florida trip. When are you going again or did you not have a date listed?

Lisa - You continually crack me up. I looked at your pictures and thought - she looks good. If she wanted to lose a little weight (like 10 pounds) that would be great, but she looks good as she is too - so it is up to you my friend to figure out what works best for you. Wishy washy, I know, but that's what I think.

Ronda - oy - you have a bit of a conundrum on your hands with the neighborhood kids. Personally, I would talk to them about it, but that is just me. I don't see it as confrontational as much as being neighborly I guess.

Liz - How are you???

Kat - How was the trip???

DawnC - I know I said welcome to the party already so how are things going?

Cathie - How are you doing? Everything all right in Colorado?

Amy - New job still going well?

Amiee - When does your next class start up?

Oh - I hope I got everyone... Hate it when I miss someone. Busy day at work for me here. Meeting after meeting kind of day. On the plus side, I am back to my comfy jeans and loafers. I was in a suit yesterday with the infamous giraffe print pumps and OMG - my one foot is still rebelling and screaming in pain. Thank heavens I don't have to wear shoes like that every day!

Its a new day folks - make it a good one!

Okay...so first and foremost...

PAULA! Chica I am so proud of you and excited for you!!!!! Way to go!!!! :yay:

Erika-I had so much fun reading your trip report, it looks like you guys all had a great time! Glad to have you back :)

Dawn-OUCH! Poor thing, just glad it wasn't any worse! Life happens and unfortunately so does bad eating. The most you can do is let it roll off your shoulders and start over today. Sounds like you are on your way :)

DawnC-I'm also wanting a Kindle for Christmas. If no one buys it for me I just may go buy it for myself haha!!!

And for those talking about the Twilight series...OMG! It's a must read. I read the first two books before I saw the first movie...I was so dissappointed. The movie was so choppy, that I honestly believe if I hadn't had read the book first I would have been way way way more confused.

Okay everyone I am going to try to be around a bit more but no guarantees haha. I have the last of my midterms this week (thank goodness) and so much to do. This last weekend was a good one, but busy busy busy. Friday night Carlos and I went to Dave and Busters for a date night, it was highly needed. Then Saturday I spent most of the day making an Elmo cake and hand-made Elmo chocolates for my friend's daughters 2nd birthday party. Then Saturday night Carlos and I went and got pumpkins and carved them. So fun! Haven't done that in forever. Sunday was London's party, she loved the Elmo cake! This week. oy. Last night-bible study. Tonight-School Tomorrow night-going to see a concert Thursday night-school Friday night-Halloween/Birthday party for friend Saturday-Halloween-going trick or treating with friends and their kids and an adult party later that night. Ugh. OH and did I mention that somewhere this week I am supposed to be making a cake for the company's Halloween potluck on Friday. Yeah. No sleep in my immediate future.:sad2:

Anyways, have been a little off this last week, mostly just due to not taking the time to plan. So today, my biggest goal is to get my water and veggies in. I didn't have weight watchers yesterday, so I'm anxious for my weigh in next week.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Im at work so I cant really post much! Just dropped in to say:

PAULA!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
The New Bling looks gooooood on you! :cool1:

I will post back later with some details of my trip - its the 20th of November for 4 nights/5 days - very short and sweet and I will be exhausted but I cannot wait!

Have a great day everyone :upsidedow

I have a good run planned for today, too, Nancy. And upper body strength workout.

Let me know how you do, ok?

My plan changed somewhat, but I definitely got a solid workout in. I ellipticalled (which I personally hate, but had good company to distract me, so that is a bonus!) then did a ton of upper body strength. One of my challenges is with all the biking I did this summer I was getting super cardio and leg work, but no upper body. I've lost muscle tone, which now I'm working to get back.

Oh and Erin tells me she "has a plan" :scared1: Whatever THAT'S supposed to mean.

Anyway I missed my planned snack and dinner and was STARVING when I got home.

Ate a few quick things and more than what I should have because I was just grabbing and shoveling - not measuring at all. :scared1:

Holy cow! That kid just seems to attract accidents! :headache: Thankfully it wasn't really anything horrid this time! But yes! It does make it so hard when life throws a wrench into your well-laid plans. Sounds like you have made some great decisions on how to plan ahead and do a bit of "preventative preparing".

K - making kids breakfast and off to water aerobics with AMY. I will let you know if I cry or not! ;)

Hope you survived your class today!

Need to eat clean to feel good you know?

Words for me to live by. Have fun tonight!

Heck yeah! With a schedule like yours planning is so essential! I'm curious - do you count points in WW or do the other method (which I've totally forgotten what it's called right now...:headache:)

Cathie - I too read the series before I saw the movie. Although, R Patz was already cast as Edward, so I had the eye candy all worked out in my head. I wonder about Liz and Amy - who had read it years before Robert was Edward. Was that a hard transition?

The movie was a big disappointment to me. My imagination was a much better version. I need to watch it again before New Moon comes out.

I think you're thinking of the core plan. And unfortunately, with their new "keep hunger at bay dealy" they pretty much did away with that! So I have no choice but to count points. It's something I'm still struggling to do lol I'm sitting down to do a meal plan today on my lunch break and will hopefully get to go shopping tonight to get some stuff. When I can plan and stick to it, I am so on. When I don't...well...then things like yesterday's lunch of chicken fingers happen:laughing:

Cathie - a suggestion maybe. Take some time to look up and plan some meals at the take out places you tend to frequent so that you have them in your arsenal when you need them. For example, for me, I know that an egg white flatbread sandwich from Dunkin Donuts (an east coast coffee / donut shop that is everywhere in the northeast) is a good meal switch for a JC lunch or dinner. It is about 300 calories (I don't remember the whole fat and fiber counts) and fills me up. When life gets the better of me and I have to do fast food that is my go to option because it won't kill my diet. Having a few of these things worked out in your head makes it a lot easier to deal with when crunch time hits. Go to the websites for the places you tend to frequent so you can make informed choices instead of relying on the old faithfuls of the past.

Just a thought. :goodvibes

Hi all!

Well Amy did not dissapoint and I thought I was going to die at a few points.

dan has to leave to head out of town tonight so he did not go. Didn't stop me and I felt really good knowing I was facing her by myself!

I need to wear my watershoes from here on out because the outside of my ankle (can't remember what she called it) is killing me and super tight.

We did 20 minutes of legs. Including 3 minutes of jumping and hitting (trying) your @ss with your heels, 3 minutes of knees to chest, 3 minutes of power hand jacks (jumping out of water with legs apart and bringing them together and then back out before you touch the ground etc. etc.

We also took noodles and found a partner. Each person put the noodles under the arms (one under each) backs facing each other and ran forward as hard as you can.(Like a tug o war) My partner is the lady who has lost 57 pounds since Feb and is now about 10 pounds or so I would guess less than I weigh.

I kicked her @ss! :cool1:

Each time we re-started in the middle of the pool and I drug her. She was sweating and heave hoeing and had shoes on and I, pulled her like I had life or death coiunting on it and Amy...called me on it and congratulated me.

It is not a race and it is not a marathon but for me it was great. I was working hard and I know I have muscle under this flubber. It was super motivating to find that inner competitve streak about something so positive.

Booked 2 more Silpada parties today, got on a conference call and am amazed at how much more energy I have with working out than before.

Crashing at 9:30 p.m. doesn't hurt either and I am tired at night!

Paula - so loving that sign! It sparkles!!

Hi Everyone

Hope you have all had a good day! I feel a bit weepy today which isn't like me. Oh well, im sure I'll get over it!

Dawn - SO proud of you doing the exercise class! Its so good when you find something you enjoy - also, good on you for kicking that woman a$$! :rotfl:

Paula - Dawns right, that bling is so sparkly! Looks good!

So, my educational that Im going on.

Its the 20th of November for 4 nights/5 days. Im travelling down to London the day before the flight and staying in a hotel at the airport the night before (im about 4 hours away from London). We are staying (I believe) in the Hard Rock Hotel, we will be visiting both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and CityWalk.

There is two group of agents travelling - 45 in total - and I dont know ANYONE!! Yep, travelling all on my lonesome! Everyone is in the same boat though (they don't have people from the same companies travelling) so its a good opportunity to meet new people who are in the same line of work.

Im really excited. Its such a great opportunity and we will be treated so well by the tour company - hotel, flights and all food is paid for along with entrance into the parks. All I need to take is spending money!

Thats all I know so far, our full itinerary wont come through for a week or so. :cool1:

excellent advice Paula.

And yes, Cathie. The "core plan" that's what I couldn't remember. I belonged to WW ages ago, and lost my weight (45 lbs) using the points system. I absolutely love tracking that way (ok. Not that I *love* tracking, but if I must, which I do, I prefer the points!) I just find it easier to remember that food item "x" is 3 points or whatever. Much less complicated for me than counting calories.

I kicked her @ss! :cool1:

:rotfl: not at all competitive are we?

Hope you have all had a good day! I feel a bit weepy today which isn't like me. Oh well, im sure I'll get over it!

 Hope your day is improving Kel!

You are going to have so much FUN! No, it's not Disney, but it is wonderful in it's own right. Do me a favor while you are there. Please sit on the porch at Margaritaville and have a cocktail or two for me, k?

I've had a somewhat unproductive day off. I did have a great workout, and I did get my hair cut and the grocery shopping done, so that's all good. I also talked with Seth for almost 45 minutes this morning...and now I'm having my own personal pity party because he's not coming home for break this weekend. :sad1: I knew he wasn't. He and 4 friends are going to another cadets house for the long weekend. I'm sure they'll have a blast, which is what they all really need right about now. Just feeling <sigh> right about now.
