In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Just finished watching Disney's new Christmas special, Prep & Landing. SO funny! Loved it. EE--your kids will love it. Just the right age.

A milk man? Umm.

I don't bake much, well, at all. We are doing xmas at D's parents this year so no cooking either. Yay!!

I cleaned up, shopping. Got a black wool pea coat, a black pants suit, two possibilities for under the black suit, and a pair of short dress boots, all for under $140. I have pics, may post later on...

It was actually on ABC during Prime Time, but I am sure you can find it online.

I realize that most places may not have milk men, but this is New England, people! Norman Rockwell, bed & breakfasts, quaint towns with a town square with a white church at one end and Town Hall on the other...and milk men :lmao:

Cool. I will look it up. I've been trying to find the one that has Donald with the huge coat and Chip N Dale picking on Pluto. It's a tradition for us.

This one is brand new this year and very modern. But SO funny. Lots of humor for adults, too. Directed by John Lasseter, head of Pixar, if that tells you anything.

I just lost an entire post and don't have the energy to do it again. Be back tomorrow or something.

Cutie - it's a EasyShare Z712IS. Good work Nancy!

Oh how I adored Samantha! Lucky us.

My drama/editing was very little. Long story. I just felt overly emotional. I was excited about taking my mom to WDW for two nights. $64 flights found. But she said, "no but next year for sure". And i got off the phone a nd bawled. Not for mortality which we all never know. But I don't think she'll be capable next year. I took her the first year of FD and it was difficult - lovely memories but very difficult. Anxiety b/c of her head for her.

Her breast was benign. She has to have open heart surgery. Her heart has been working overtime. Pig/mechanical replacement on her aorta/valve :confused3:confused3. She told me "I don't want a pig's" like she's royalty;):lmao:. And I said, "well beggars can't be choosers, can they?" and she laughed and laughed like a little girl.

Her doctor seems to think it can be after Florida . :confused3:confused3.

HOpe everyone is well. Lyz hope you have a wonderful time!

Oh BL I thought Rebecca looked like she was forty at twenty something. There's lean and then - to me - there is ugly lean.

Hi Everyone...

It was pretty snowy here as well today. Most of the schools were delayed today. The weather was actually the highlight of the day. Work was extremely crappy and I am still trying to get over it. My confidence got shook and I am upset that I let it get to me.

Fortunately, only one more day and then I am off to bake my christmas cookies (snickerdoodles, cherry chocolate kisses - think the peanut butter blossoms but with a vanilla cookie, chopped marachino cherries and the chocolate kiss, spritz cookies, lemon flavored italian cookies and homemade peanut butter balls). Bakind always relieves stress for me so it is good timing.

Ronda - good luck with the cookie recipies. Nancy's words are so true. Baking is a science and everything is there for a reason. Oh - I swear by baking on parchment. I have given up the air bake cookie sheets though. I couldn't control the cookies on them.

Erika - sounds like a fun day was had by all at your house. For your baking, they do have substitutes for all of the butter in some recipies. I think it is a combination of applesauce and water. I'll ask a friend of mine who ususe that all the time.

Lyz - have a great time in WDW!!! You gus are all going to have a blast. WDW at Christmas is fabulous.

Lisa - I thinked I would have balled too after that phone call. Thinking good thoughts for your mom's surgery.

Kat - sounds like a productive shopping trip. When do you head to PA again?

Hope everyone is doing well...

I head to PA tomorrow at 3PM.

A bunch of pics, mostly to make sure I am doing this right... The suit and boots and whatever I decide to wear underneath will be for meetings, employee lunch, and meet n greet. The party outfit is for the 6PM-11PM holiday dinner/dance.

Oh, and there are spots on my camera, evidently, so ignore those...

Here is the suit:

Here are the choices to go underneath:

Party shoes (likely with nude or sheer hose):

New coat:

Let me know what you think on what to wear under the suit... The blue sweater would be the most flattering (my eyes will turn that color when it is close to my face), but the bronze is likely the most versatile (looks okay with jacket off). I am a bit afraid that the sweater would be too warm indoors.

Kat - love the new looks - especially the boots and the coat! I would go with the blue sweater under the suit. It gives it a pop of color. You will likely be a bit chilled up north. You aren't used to how cold it is up here anymore.

Kat--I have those same boots and wear them all the time. They are my go-to boots, for sure.

Lisa--just hugs.

Paula--that is exactly what I do...applesauce, etc. But it just isn't the same. :sad2:

Can't believe that you leave the day after tomorrow! Are you going to be checking in? Bringing the laptop? Or just available via text? I have to prepare now if I am going to go through withdrawal.

Quick check in. I don't think I'll be checking in on the thread. Well I will but probably no time for posting. I *sigh* am going to bring my laptop. I don't really want to at all, but I don't think that would be very responsible. I hope to not need to fire it up. I can text.

Lisa, thank you. About your mom and coming to WDW, that would have been so awesome and I would have cried too. Scary about the surgery.

ERIKA & KELLY! You have milkmen. Freaking hilarious!

Paula - sorry you had a crummy day at work. Talk it out here if you need to. You know we'll point out what a deusch so and so is.

Kat - lovely outfits. The blue will look awesome. You are going to freeze, lol.

Wanted to watch the new movie last night, no time.

Hi to all.

I am still at work. Been here since 9am, left to pick up lunch. Left to pick up Maddi for dance and left for dinner at 9pm with the family at the local Mexican joint. Now back to work for a few more hours. I hope to REALLY and TRULY get almost everything done. You know, it's always so hard to leave town!

Talk to you tomorrow.

LYZ! OMG, what a long day for you. But I get it. I disappear before we go on vacation, too. It takes SO much to go out of town. Definitely the down side of vacation. My total dream is to go on vacation without my laptop. :cloud9:

*sigh* Nancy--the vehicle that he delivers milk in is electric! :lmao:

oh.

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

(I thought the same thing)

Thank you Cathie.

WOW! Nicely done, Kat! I love the blue & the red both - but it's freakin' cold here. I'm thinking the sweater will be your best bet. Have a GREAT time!

I just lost an entire post and don't have the energy to do it again. Be back tomorrow or something.

Or something ;)

 Sorry things are, well, hard right now.

:lmao: Well now. The "peanut butter balls" just gave me an Alec Baldwin/SNL moment :lmao:

They all sound amazing Paula! Have fun baking! <sigh> I so wish I didn't love cookies so much

Busy day for me tomorrow. Erin at 7:15, then quick shower and off to a craft show at my sister's office building. I'm there with my soap and my SIL's cheese. Hoping for a profitable day! :thumbsup2 I'll catch up with you all tomorrow night!

Kat & Lyz - safe travels
