In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Lisa - did he show yet??? ;) Now, that's a delivery I'd sign for!

Paula - My family says congratulations - my mom and MIL are proud of you!!!

Still drinking wine. Must go to bed. Holy Jeebus, my mom is a MESS. Like, all kinds of sick, etc. And less and less charming, despite the wine. Long week ahead, my friends.

Paula. I am without words. This is so flippin' exciting.

Ok, I found them. My words. HOMG!!!!!!!! Your report was stellar. Your chain came off and you put it back, I can't even imagine. AND, AND, you were the first one back. I think about when I ride 5 miles and I'm about dead and so full of myself. You rode 10 and quickly apparently. You CAN do anything and look at all the work you put into doing this. Yaaay Paula. I'm so excited.

Liz - thinking of you on vacation with all the famn damily. Good luck.

Kat - yes, if I'm up, so must you be.

Nancy - go Becca.

Molli's skillathon did not go well. She was disappointed. We studied what they told us too, but apparently not enough. I'm frustrated. It was my fault, cause I make her study sheets and practice tests and it just wasn't enough. She just had to complete it, and she did, but the last 2 years she got perfect scores, sooo....

The girls are having an awesome time at the lock in. I finally made it to the Disney store tonight. Just got a beach towl, cause it was only 6.99.

Night all. Oh and I have some kinda stomach bug. I'm so ill. Good times.

Lyz (that was for you Cathie, hehe)

Paula-LOVED the race report! :cheer2: You must feel AMAZING after such a big accomplishment!!!

Dawn-That would be really neat. I'm currently a bit more in northern CO, sort of out in the sticks, but I would happily drive somewhere to met a fellow diser! Since this doesn't really seem to be the popular place for dis meets :)

Back from Renaissance festival Tired as all heck amd have a bit of a sunburn haha!!! But will post a few pics in the morning when I am coherent and can work photobucket :)

A mail order groom.

Spewed my coffee. :lmao::lmao:

No really. Whatever you were awaiting, did it arrive?

Yes. Good luck

Oh, I'm so sorry for her. I have such a variety of kids in my 4H Goat group - and I just LOVE when the kids WANT to know stuff. Hopefully her experience will inspire her to learn more.

But will post a few pics in the morning when I am coherent and can work photobucket :)

 made me laugh. takes waaaay more than a good night sleep to make ME coherent enough to work photobucket :rolleyes1 To give you an indication of my skills, I refer to myself as Amish. I'm not really a techno-phobe, but just really slow to catch on! As my son so generously posted on *my* FB page, "I am the most technologically challenged person alive" ....or something equally as thoughtful

Beautiful day here - not too much on my agenda - except laundry :laundy: Becca came home from camp yesterday :scared: Laundry abounds.

PAULA - how are you feeling today after your Lance Armstrong-esque performance yesterday? :goodvibes

Morning!

AWESOME race report, Paula! And you already know how proud I am of you and how totally awesome you are!

Would love to comment to everyone, but it is gorgeous here and we are heading to the pool club (natch ;) ).

While at the pool, J and I will make the decision as to whether or not to spend the month of August overseas. That's like less than 3 weeks away. To plan, pack (for a month!), make sure the house needs are taken care of while we are away and on and on and on...

I'm going to start wishing for the days when we just went away every single week-end! :rotfl2:

Luddite!!

Hate laundry... I swear it multiplies behind my back when I am not looking.

Liz, hang in there.

Paula, you are a goddess. Seriously. I am so, so, SO proud of you.

LisaV, HAHA!!

Lyz, no chance. My fat white behind doesn't see the other side of 11AM on weekends unless there is someone/something actually *here* making me get up!

A lot of work indeed - but what an awesome experience that could be for the kids!

Paula---AWESOME JOB!! Loved the report and pics! Total goddess.

Liz--Our beach trip last fall was with my parents and DH's mom and stepdad. I totally understand. And I confess that I drank ALOT. It definitely helps!

Laundry. I am just managing to dig myself out from under my pile. It's all clean but I am having a hard time making decisions as to what to pack for our trip up north, so I had it spread out everywhere. I am looking forward to the cooler weather and wearing my jeans. And since I am actually running at least one race up there, I had to pack all my good running outfits.

Went running again yesterday. On the TM, since t-storms prevented me from going outside, but it went really really well.

not much else going on here other than packing.

Cheers,
Amy

Summer has finally arrived here in the north east! Warm (lower 80*s), still cool at night - just stellar right now. You'll definitely want a variety of stuff!

OMG, you are my hero just for vacation with both your parents and in-laws all at the same time!

Word. (I used that in the right place, yes?) :rotfl:

The race this morning totally rocked!!!

You are my hero. YOU totally rock! There aren't enough things I can say to you! Honestly, so so proud!

I'm so overwhelmed with emotions. Crying. Yes Paula - you have inspired tears of joy!!!!

Yep, I had a lump in my throat reading the report!

A mail order groom.

Snorted my tea out of my nose! I love when that happens! :lmao:

Im just home from my nieces christening - Im a godmother! Very happy, fantastic day but my hands are shaking from the sugar rush from the cake I ate! Bad Kelly!

CATHIE - So sorry about your Grandpa . That is so much for one person to take, you never need to apologise for long posts or venting here - vent away!

DAWN - My younger brother once came home with a shaved head because it was 'too warm that day'! I think it rained for about a week after and he had to wear a hat because his head was cold :lmao:

WORD!

And Kelly, you totally used it right! Goddess crown for you!

OMG. way way too many free drinks from the cabana boys at the pool club today!

Hey Guys!

I just had to pop on before heading to dinner with the family.

Paula you are a superstar goddess! Way to go. Do you have another one in the works???

I will be back in a bit to catch up on the rest of the weekend activities.

OMG, where IS everyone today??? Enjoying the gorgeous day, I hope! Family game night here, of course. Charades. Hi lar ious!

It was an elliptical Nancy. Wanted a treadmill but was worried about the repair bill in a couple of years. Elllipticals build my calves which do not need building but oh well.

I just wanted some no thinking exercise once in awhile.

Jean and I have had almost ten years with a gym right in our condo so we thought hmmmmm.

Erika - so exciting!!! SO EXCITING. :lovestruc

Liz - hang in there and hope you're having fun.

Hi to all!

Kelly - glad to see you. I've missed your posts.

Hi team...

Nancy - I am feeling pretty good today. Got some much deserved sleep and woke up ready to go this morning. I missed the peacefulness of my usual Sunday morning ride (I chose to sleep in) but other than that, I felt pretty great. Thanks for asking... :goodvibes

Oh and for all of you wondering when the next race is, mark September 27th on your calendars. Another ten miler with free pints of microbrewed goodness waiting at the end... Of course, I haven't decided if I want to look for something else in between or not...;)

I spent the afternoon at my cousin's graduation party. Had a blast catching up with the family. I was stunned when one of my uncles came up to me to tell me that I looked great and that he was really proud of me for doing what I am doing. This guy does not dole out compliments easily so that really meant a lot to me. I didn't overeat or graze while at the party so it was a victory for me - yeah...

Thanks for the comments on the race report.

Lisa and Kelly - I was a blubbering fool by the time I finished it so thanks for sharing in the tears. Man, you never know when these emotional outbursts are going to take over do you?

OK - so now I need to catch up on the goings on in all of your lives...

Lisa - how goes the closing on the new place? Do you have a moving date yet?

Kelly - yeah on being a godmother!!! very cool.

Lyz - Sending hugs to Molli... She will get them next time. Nothing like a little setback to spur on some determination right?

Liz - family vacations and drinking go hand in hand right? Hope you are having a good time.

Erika - Glad you had fun at the pool club today. Good luck on the decision making, but I agree that experience could be great for the kids.

Dawn - hope everyone is having a blast at camp. As for Treyner's hair, it will grow back. Get ready for four years of experimentation. That is all part of the college experience you know. I went to college as a traditional pop song singing kid and came back a fan of alternative music. I remember my sister saying that she was getting nervous because I liked the B-52's... :rotfl: Besides, if that is the worst thing you have to deal with, you are doing pretty darn good....

Nancy - congrats to Becca on her 4 reserve championships. Sorry for all of the laundry...

Kat - I really do think laundry multiplies when you aren't looking. How else do you explain that one person can generate 3 - 4 loads of laundry per week?

Cathie - how was the festival?

LisaPR - miss you... getting ready to start my 1/2 marathon training and one of my resident coaches is missing. That makes me sad.... Hope the job is getting better.

Who am I forgetting? Stacey, Steph, Sunny, Heidi and everyone else... Hi!!! Hope you all are doing well.

OK - off to get a bit of a workout in and then to get things ready for the week ahead... (laundry and stuff - fun...)

Catch you all later

oops... forgot to check in with a few of you...

Amy - good luck with the packing. Bring a little bit of everything with you to VT. You never know what the weather is going to bring up here right now.

Amiee - how is your weekend going?

Sorry... the mind is a terrible thing to lose sometimes... :rotfl2:
