In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Yes, I am following on from myself :rotfl2:

I just wanted to say that me and my best friend are slowly but surely planning a girls only trip to NYC in December 2010!
I am beyond excited and theres over a year to go!

Back to your regularly scheduled programming! :rotfl2:

Did I share that my boss is dog sitting? For nothing? Well, I bought her a $50 iTunes gift card. I'm going to slip it into her purse tomorrow. :rolleyes1

That's really nice of her! And YOU too, of course :thumbsup2

Your trip is going to be absolutely fabulous!

Update on my challenge - tracking for the last two days. This is HUGE for me.

Great job on the tracking Liz :thumbsup2 Tracking for me, is kinda like that slap upside the head that knocks me back to my senses  I'll get back to it- just not today.

I just wanted to say that me and my best friend are slowly but surely planning a girls only trip to NYC in December 2010!

:cheer2: How fun! Have you ever been to NYC before? Talk to Liz. Really - she's the resident expert on NYC!

This morning, I opted to skip the gym - which is always a really hard choice for me. I truly do enjoy working out....and I know how easy it is for me to gain weight even while exercising that the thought of skipping a day is downright scary. But - other crap takes priority this morning. Like the laundry. Seth was looking for clean socks this morning :rolleyes1

Then it's off to work where I need to make 250 individually wrapped 4" chocolate chip-heath bar cookies for a special order. Thankfully, Paula posted the nutritional info on that evil Rainbow Cookie - so I've got those numbers in my head now! No sampling of giant cookies for me!

I have been once before in 2000, but it was a college/work educational - we looked round hotels, went to the Empire State Building, Rockerfeller Centre, WTC and a helicopter ride! Thats all, and thats not enough :rotfl:
We didn't even have time for any shopping :sad1: AND I wasn't old enough to drink :lmao:

Im going to be pumping everyone for information, especially restaurants and bar choices (I want to be prepared with it being ladies only!) :upsidedow

OMG - what do you do? it sounds amazing  However, I would be big as a house I love CHOC!!! :yay:

QUESTION:

How do you read on the elip? I am amazed ???? Part of the weight loss program is the arms, that has resistance they feel like cement blocks - I have to discs in my neck that have caused me over time to lose strength in my arms, so doing the arms is key ...................(still amazed) not to mention I would fall off if I did not hold on  I have my own ride in the basement :rotfl2:

and while I am on the topic - what is the point of going backwards on it? (again, still confused - LOL)

Amazing, how I graduated with a 3.9 for my masters - yet I am so lost with this elip :rolleyes1

Are you asking me? I work at a local apple orchard where I cook/bake in the farm store kitchen. And yes, it's absolute torture!

:lmao: I can relate to that more that I care to admit somedays.:rolleyes1 I have a degree in math & statistics and am one of the most technologically challenged people you could ever hope to meet!

off to play Betty Crocker.....

Hmm, I am sensing a need to crash NYC to meet Kelly!!

EE, somehow I missed that your friend's shop closed. Sorry to hear it.

Nancy, sorry things are so crazy.

Erika, I felt like I was channelling you yesterday. My kickboxing instructor forgot the Tuesday walking lunges and I reminded her. I think the rest of the class was ready to KILL me. It was the end of the class and she was going to do abs, and the rest of the class left so it was just me and her doing abs!

Hi everyone...

Kelly is coming to the US!!! Can't wait and I'm with Kat, we may have to crash...

Speaking of Kat - way to go on the workout and the reminder on the walking lunges... Look out now - she is on a roll.

Nancy - stay away from the cookies... that is all I can say.

Liz - yeah on the tracking!!! whoo hoo...

Jennifer - I have no idea how anyone reads on any of the cardio machines. The upright bike and now the spin bike are my torture devices of choice and I can't read on those and I am sitting down. Guess I am not coordinated enough. Although Erika may be on to something with the audio books... I guess to each their own right?

Amiee - less than two days now... so exciting. I am bummed about your friend's shop closing. I hope she can find a new place soon.

I'm sure most of you don't follow NY politics (why would you), but it has been a crazy couple of days around here. The Democrats used to have the majority in the Senate. I say used to because two Senators switched sides and helped stage a coup (the first in NY history I guess). So now, the Republicans are back in the majority and the building is hopping. They are supposed to go into session this afternoon, but no one knows if the Dems (the keeper of the keys) will open the Chamber or not. Add on top of that, the fact that I think all of NY's cabbies have stormed the Capitol to protest the State's idea to add sales taxes to cab fares and this building is a bonafide zoo. You can't walk through the halls without bumping into a reporter, a protestor or both. Can I go home? Please? :confused3 I just want to build things...

Anyways - that is all from the nuthouse for now. Tonight is family dinner night (rescheduled from Tuesday nights for the rest of the summer for those keeping track) so that should be fun.

Hi guys!

I've been meaning to check in, but like everybody else, things are so busy with end of year stuff. My daughter had her 8th grade dance on Friday night -- all the girls came over early for a cookout, then my friend and I dolled them up and shipped them out! :lmao: If I can get my computer to spit it out, I will post a picture -- they all looked so cute!

Double header for the softball tournament was Saturday. They won the first game, lost the second, so they are now officially done. :thumbsup2 Woo hoo, don't have to do practices for awhile, since she's not playing summer ball.

My aerobics class is still going well -- somehow I managed to make it through our torrential downpour and lightning storm last night and get to class. I couldn't believe it, but 7 of my ladies managed to get there, too. Gotta get that exercise fix......or just crazy, I haven't decided. :yay:

Still exercising, still eating so-so, still maintaining....

Hope you are all having a great day!! And Kelly, I have to crash the party in NYC too!!!!

Hi all -
I will not be on much if at all until after his grad party on Sunday. Up to my ears in last minute food prep and house cleaning. Treyner's coach squuezed in a game from 9-11:30 P.M. tonight one hour away and I am going. He is for sure playing goalie (they have 2) and like Nancy - feel overwhelmed over missing simple things.

Take Care!

:lmao: I bet they were mad! But, their bummock's will appreciate your thoughtfulness!

NY politics definitely has had its share of nuts lately -that's for sure! Enjoy family dinner night :goodvibes What's on the menu, any idea?

Gotta get that exercise fix......or just crazy, I haven't decided. :yay:

 perhaps a little of both.

I managed to *mostly* avoid the cookies. I did sample a piece of a broken one. It was broken - so the calories all fell out right? :rolleyes1 Really though - it was all in the name of "quality control". Honest. ;)

My house was reasonably clean this morning. Kitchen floor was mopped. Family room vacuumed (I can get a lot done when I stay home from the gym.). I just got home from work-dentist-errand marathon and HOLY CRAP. My house is a huge physics project MESS! Parts, pieces, tools, things...every.where. Absolutely everywhere. The kitchen counter - covered. The SINK even. Kitchen table. Family room - forget it. You can't even find a place to put your foot if you wanted to get in there.

My son is now at work, and his friends have left. We have to eat dinner and be out the door before 6:00 for a track awards thing at the high school....and I can't even get CLOSE. I don't dare touch anything - they are all in various stages of "glue" and assembly. This project is 70% of their final exam which is 40% of their final grade.:headache:

OY.

Hi. I'm reading. Every day.

I was sitting here with a package of staples in my bra. This is how things are right now. I'm horribly self absorbed and can't think past my nose. So keep on a posting so I can read about your lives.

The staples you ask? Well isn't it obvious? I went outside to repair the trampolene net. I had to put extra staples in a convienent local. It didn't work. The repair. The bra worked - so fine, I forgot.

So I spent a lot of time hanging out here. I adore this porch or balcony or terrace or whatever the eff you want to call it. (Foul mood people - the condo suites waiting to bounce back on the 10 day cool off - none bounced back - and we were "guaranteed" one:sad2:). So on to happy times -

So the first day - hmmm - where's my rotating day one - four do nothing list when I need it?

Well ate my 1st of four BW Bakery fruit plates and brownies on that wonderful BW porch.

I went to Kidani at some point (DVC AKL)

So here are some snaps of the window. Paula, I could have eaten the window. :lmao: So that's why you are all getting many shots of my lovely, lovely window.
