Day 7 – Sea Day

The day started out by all of us sleeping in.

Let me explain WDW and LisaV. Never make a reservation. Like in 15 or more trips - maybe two times. I barely wake up for breakfast cut off.


I play football out on the BWV front lawn.

Sometimes Jean and I play "let's get on the first bus/boat etc that comes and that will be our destination. One day I read an entire book in a Poly hammock. Afternoon naps - adore them.

I hear "rope drop" and I think strange strange weird women on this thread. As in why. I have had many no park trips (mainly b/c of money but have done it with pases).

I live at Typhoon Lagoon. Live at it. I have sat on the rocking chairs at Tony's for hours and took in the people. I adore FW and sit on those rocking chairs too.

I know which workout room won't hassle me. I wear fitness sandals to workout and that WL a$$ has thrown me out twice before as I mumble "I'm Canadian - I'm not going to sue - geez". I HATE running shoes.

Night time is heaven for me at WDW. Heaven. Pink skin can relax. Right Kelly?

I am with men every single day at WDW. They are all with me at the pool - at the bar - at the BW - at DD. A lot of women must do the parks on their own is all I can say. I hear them talk of drinks and afternoon naps and I LOVE them.

I live at ALL resorts. I visit them all. Live at them.

One year I had an Annual Pass - adored it. Nothing like going in just for Wishes or something.

So nothing to tell you about May 30 - sleeping, eating, drinking, throwing the football in no particular order - hangin' out with all the men. Oh the irony.

Zipping through as usual. I am reading though, honest.

I had to go into the hospital yesterday. We had a lead fired for HIPPA violation and I filled in for her yesterday. There are 2 of us trained as fill ins for vacation (usually). Now I need to decide if another 8 hour day a week is worth the pay increase and if this would, in turn, influence Mike's attitude toward money and travel. So much to ponder and we are so far behind in work I won't have a chance until this weekend.

WE HAVE NO GAMES, NO PRACTICES AND NO NOTHING PLANNED!!!!

Sleep in, WTH is that??? Sleep in around here is 6 a.m.

Shelby had her double header yesterday during which she hit 2 inside the park home runs and 1 triple, a single and a fly out to deep CF. She made 2 spectacular plays one from short and one from third. Mostly she caught and needless to say in the 92 degree heat, was hot and tired after the game. It is funny watching her out there as she really does not look like the other girls and does not play like the other girls. You know the Sesame Street song, which one of these is not like the other one? Yeah, that's her. I am going to try and get some pics at the games next week to post for you all to see her. And Paula, I have no idea how we created her. We laugh about our superior DNA pool.

I am going to try and get 5 miles in today. I have not run this far since the marathon. I have been sticking to 3 and 4 mile runs and while another mile does not seem that far, I have been maintaining pretty fast speeds (for me) and I wonder if this will continue. I did a lot of chair jump squats yesterday but I guess those don't count as exercise. I did pack my cooler full yesterday and ate very well while in the hospital. They had hot dogs, chips and cake for the staff meeting and I did not eat one bite. Not one. Not even the soda that they had. Everyone thinks I am different at work anyway, I might as well further their notions...The weird nature girl gone mad...

Good morning... Yes, I am obnoxiously chipper this morning, so my apologies to all you non morning people. It is a beautiful day here today. I am so leaving work early (or should I say on time) so that I can get a bike ride in after work today before it gets dark. Hopped on the scale this morning for a reality check and am loving the number I saw. Just need to make sure I don't eat my way through the weekend now. Planning a long bike ride on Sunday morning and I have my workout with Jesse on Saturday so those two things should keep me motivated.

Erika - loving the trip report. Loving it.

See. This is where I feel totally fortunate that my 2 boys came before the girl. She knows what boys are all about. They smell. They're doofy. They're idiots who aren't worth her time. Unfortunately Nate doesn't have many friends and the few he does have don't come here. So Sam just thinks her brother is weird, not boys in general.

Ok so as for the Job, I think I scared them by asking for what I get at the hospital. They said that they couldn't afford that, I said we could work something out I was sure and I sent them my resume and haven't heard a thing about it. Stephen Keeps telling me to call but I feel weird because they were so sure that they were going to hire me and now no call? I feel like maybe I bombed the interview or their was something on my resume that read DON"T HIRE ME I AM BAD FOR YOU! I haven't a clue???
So I am still sticking with the hospital and since I just got another raise and they are working me darn close to 40 hours a week.. I can deal with it! I think! I do miss the family at night. Zac had his first night of baseball and I missed it. So things like that make me sad.

As for Mocha ... yeah she is cute! I guess I will keep her.
So the boys are home for the next 5 days! Sam is camping with friends for the next Five day!

Lyz~ Oh we haven't even dealt with the driving issue! We live right in town so its not a place for her to drive! Plus we have the state troopers right here in town so (THANK GOD) she wouldn't /couldn't even if she wanted to! I do let Nate Drive .. he has his permit.

Morning all.

Baylor tore some tendons in his thumb and has a severe sprain. Yup, last night we were at the Children's ER till 11pm and left with a hard cast like splint with an orthopedic appt for next week. I might as well just turn over my entire life svings to deductibles.

He landed on his hand and his thumb bent back to his wrist at a soccer game. His coach had taped it duing half time so I just thought he had a cut or something. I had no clue till it was over and then just shook my head at him for not wanting to come out of the game. Again, I am slapped with the fact I am so not an athlete.

"Umm, I have a sliver coach, can I go home and have a popsickle?"
That would be me.

Sorting through pics of the kids. I am a great picture taker. Horrible album maker.

Nancy - your whistle needs to be in your lips cause I have not done well with nada for a few days now.

Will walk tonight with Dan and report back. I need to just walk in the morning so I have no excuses for not getting it done. Then if I have time can re-walk with Carsyn or whomever. The night walks get lost a lot of days with soccer for 3 kids and it will not ever be consistant.

I need Carsyn to download my Ipod shuffle still in the box that I got free from Tupp last year.

Kids are gone for the weekend so this house will be a tornado work zone. No plans minus the ceremony at Fort Snelling national cemetary on Monday. My grandparents are there and I try to get there for the ceremony if I can.

In response to the mixed kids ages and all the boy girl crushing that goes on with it...
Had to go back and figure out where I missed this one.
I have lived through what you speak of.

Treyner is 2 years 8 months older than Carsyn and 2 years in school. By the tikme Jr High rolled around for Carsyn she hated Treyner simply because all of her friends were calling asking to hang out and then not so sly like asking if Treyner would be there. Or it was the fact they would be here and then ask to go watch Treyner's soccer prctice or whatever sport because they just found it so interesting.

Then when Baylor, who is 5 years younger than Treyner was in about 3rd grade or so (younger brothers who have older brothers who date will notice girls a lot younger) noticed Kayla and it was over. Kayla was Treyner's "girlfriend" from 6-9th grade. Kayla is now 19 and still a size 0 1/2. She has a bigger chest than most would have at her size and Baylor and all his friend noticed. Treyner would come home with 10 boys with chicklett sized teeth in the driveway all showing off their bike or skateboard tricks. to impress the high school girl. Kayla thought they were all cute and Treyner wanted to flick them away like a gnat!

The worst was Treyner's friends though realizing Carsyn was not just Treyner's little sister anymore about 3 years ago. She looked older than most at 12/13 and the first, "Dude your sisters hot" comment sent him into freak spin and it was, "Can you please make sure you do not wear tank tops around here." "Put on something besides a skirt once in a while." And when she started wearing thongs, I thought he would need CPR.

Mind you, all dress and attrire was perfectly fine for Kayla or whomever to wear!

So E - with how drop dead cute all your kids are, you will be in for some fun. And it is not so much your kids and where they are but the others around them. Carsyn had a good friend who explained more about sex than I would have liked by the time she was in 5th grade. Bree, had 2 older sisters.

Speaking of this, Baylor was booted from his sex ed class yesterday.

The principle explained that Baylor laughed innapropriatly during a video. It was a real people movie that featured "Captain Condom." Who after giving a lecture to kids about sex safety, had to go onto his next job. The kids he was lecturing asked "where to?" Captain Condom said, "Right upstairs to your parents room."

After I got done laughing MAO, the principal explained that was Baylor's reaction and why he had detention today. Nancy, I thought of you!

Steph - I would call about the job. Who knows, you may not be that far off dollar wise, but you won't know until you ask.

How to describe Jesse. Mario Lopez? Maybe when his hair was longer, but not really. (he pretty much shaves his head in the summer due to his motorcycle helmut - helmut head is worse than hat head I guess - I can relate as I always end up having to be in my hard hat for the better part of the afternoon whenever I am supposed to meet people right after work, but I digress.) He is about 5'-7" and 180llbs. Not huge by any means. I am trying to think of who he reminds me of and can't come up with anyone yet. I'll see what I can come up with.

Dawn - I'm not sure I could keep a straight face during that movie. Hope Baylor's hand feels better soon.

LisaV - Have to ask - is there a particular team that you are rooting for in the playoffs or are you just enjoying the caliber of the games? Need to know what I am working with here.

Nancy - yeah on the bike ride. I just came in from having lunch out in the park (1/2 of a greek salad with chicken and 1/2 of a pita from my favorite Greek truck - yum!!!) and all I wanted to do was go biking. 3-1/2 hours to go until I am outta here for the weekend. Hope work isn't too unbearable for you today.

Where is everyone today? It is way too quiet around here. Must be the combination of the holiday weekend and the weather. Hope you are all out there doing something fun!

LisaZ and Paula - Thanks for saying you would have been hard pressed for keeping a straight face as well. A 13 year old boy with a cape laced, condom toting, super hero just screams laughter.

Paula - ask for a pic with you and Jesse to be taken at the gym so you have a before and after with him. That way you have a reason to get his pic versus saying he has a band of curious Disney nuts who spend each week wondering what he looks like or whom! Plus his face on yourfridge or under your car visor would be great motivation!

I am 80% done sorting through pics! My thighs have cramps from sitting cross legged on the floor for 4 hours!

Lyz & others with teenage girls- do you ever look at your daughters and wonder if you were as smart as they are at this age in regards to boys?

Carsyn seems to have her head really centered pretty well about not letting them walk all over her and that they are lucky if she is in their lives. I was the opposite. So of all the things I am proud of about her, it is her self assurance and belief that she will not run after anyone. I was prepared for the advice I had wished my mom would have given me.
