Good morning all! So much I want to comment on!
Kat - thanks for the TR. Sounds like you guys had a fabulous weekend. And yes, the return to reality sucks.
Protein - I asked Erin this morning how much protein she thought I should be eating. Her recommendation is a minimum of 1g for every 10lbs of body weight per meal. In other words, a 150lb person should aim for a minimum of 15g of lean proteins at each "feeding" or roughly 75g per day.
Your who of the what?
I had to read that several times before I got that
Sunburned head is not fun. Hope it's better soon.
Happy Birthday Mom! Have fun tonight, Paula!
I would LOVE to do a muddy buddy. Closest one I could find was in Virginia I think. I'll have to look again. Seems to me that there should be something in the NE area.

Paula, I do not agree with the protein and fat that Jesse is recommending, nutritionist or not. If you were a body builder you would eat no or very little fat and that is how you encourage your body to eat its own fat. You should be gaining your "energy" from complex carbs which will regulate your blood sugar better and keep you in a more steady state of energized. Fats work similar to sugar as far as energy goes and they stick with you a little harder.
While I don't disagree with the necessisty of fat & complex carbs - protein intake is extremely important when trying to gain & maintain your muscle mass. Your body needs the proteins to rebuild those muscles, and if you don't feed it the protein it needs, it will *find* it by "feeding" on your exisiting muscle, thereby un-doing everything you are working so hard to acheive.
Balance. It's so hard to find. Just the right amount of protein, carbs, fat. OY. Such a juggling act.
I looked in the mirror this morning and part of my part in my hair
Your who of the what?

Tonight's schedule is a little backwards. I am training at 5:00 then freshening up and meeting the Tuesday Night Dinner crowd at a local restaurant to officially celebrate my mom's birthday. So I have a big, hearty snack to fuel up with before I go to the gym and then will graze at dinner.

I went bathing suit shopping yesterday and didn't die.
It wasn't great, but it wasn't completely awful and hideous either. Got some stuff from Land's End that I can genuinely feel comfortable in.
awesome. I'm in the market for a new suit. I'll have to check them out.
And yes! Nancy and I will have to do a Muddy Buddy at SOME point!OMG, I am dying to do the one the day before the cruise. I asked J if he wanted to do it with me. That got a resounding NO from Mr. OCD.
