In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Erika, sorry life is getting to you this week. Sending a big .

LisaPR, same going.

Liz, have fun!! Wish I could jaunt up to say hi but my weekend is actually fairly packed for once.

I am finally seeing the sun today! yay! This has been a pecked to death by a duck week for me, just a bunch of little piddly sh*t that piles up until you are like ENOUGH already. Try to open a can, the can opener disintegrates. Try to wash out a contact lens in the sink, drop it and have to search for 10 min for it. Nothing *bad*, just little pissy things.

Kelly - do I need to ship you reese's cups? I promise, it will only be a few so that you don't end up weighing 50 stones...

Mmm, peanut butter cups. Im almost certain I can't get those over here..where is the drooling smiley!

It's in subsection 4d -- sheesh Kelly!!! Must we read the manual for you? :rotfl:

I skipped that section - not on purpose you understand :rotfl2:

Eat the bunnies to 50 stone and you can get your own TV show on TLC Kelly.

Hey! Reproduce like a bunny and you can have two shows. All for the love of a bunny.

Having my own TV show would be cool, not sure about the 50 stones to get it though :rotfl:

I can't remember anything else right now. My brain is cloudy and I apologize. Off for the weekend and I will have to report back in on Monday. Stay strong everyone!!! :flower3:

I hope you have a better weekend,

So, thank you again. I am going into the weekend fully on track, and I have your support to thank for that. Xoxo.

Have a fantastic weekend Liz! Glad to hear everything is still going well for Jodi

Lots to do today - be prepared the pics may alarm you! You have no idea how bad the kitchen was.:scared1:

Everyone else!

:hug:to Carsyn and Baylor.
I can't wait to see pictures, I love picture time!

Hi team--I know I have been totally self-absorbed and I am sorry for it.
School just called again. Third time this week for Kel. Renal pain. Honestly, I am at the absolute end of my rope. Between taking care of my dad, Kel being out of remission, me being injured. I am just done.

Again, sorry to ignore everyone else.

xoxox

You have no need to apologise
I really hope everything starts to get a little better for you :grouphug:

So at WW on Wednesday I was up 2lbs. Not unexpected, no excuses. Im trying to do light exercise and Ive got some 'medicine' because the painkillers for my back make you.....bunged up. Not good, but will be better soon hopefully - hows that for TMI on a Friday afternoon! :rotfl:

Nancy - :rotfl:Love the goat names. That was fun.

I hate cadbury eggs. yuck. I actually have issues with real eggs too. Cannot eat them. The closest I get to eating a cooked egg is french toast.

Amy - I am also grossed out by eggs. I can't help but think it's a chickens period. Gag.

Lyz--are you feeling ready for the show? I want details. Is the local news going to cover it? Will there be a webisode? I want to see!

Lyz - hope the show grows your biz huge and I am peanut butter/chocolate freak as well

The show. Didn't realize I hadn't been clear about this. Our construction company does not exhibit at the show. I am on the comittee that produces the show. I am the "secretary" for lack of a better word. I coordinate the exhibitor needs, (i.e. indoor booth, outdoor, how many booths, tables, chairs, electric, sign should read...), and am the point of contact for almost everyone. We meet at my office downtown. There are six of us on the committee. It's exhausting and fun. The committee is hilarious and we laugh and laugh. It's volunteer.

EriKa - no I'm not being featured on tv this year. Thank goodness. I still haven't watched last years clip.

This weekend I'll be running around making sure everything is smooth -
and working at the demonstration stage. Introducing the demonstrations and awarding door prizes when they are over.

Jodi has her in depth 20 week sonogram this morning, so she will be ready to head out after that. She is feeling better knowing the baby is still there and growing!

Liz - is she going to find out the sex of the baby today? I'm so happy for her. Oh the angst 4 months ago. Liz - hope you have a good time.

Understand. Thank goodness for the sun!:sunny:

Mmm, peanut butter cups. Im almost certain I can't get those over here..where is the drooling smiley!

This is a crying shame! No peanut butter cups! I forgot your back was troubling you. Hang in there.

LisaPR - you hang tight too. I'm sorry Mike is throwing crap your direction.

Dawn - I can't wait to see your before & after pics. Fun. Thinking of Carsyn.

And one more thing. Paula. Odyssey of the State. Does this mean it's over?

I hate cadbury eggs. yuck. I actually have issues with real eggs too. Cannot eat them. The closest I get to eating a cooked egg is french toast.

Feel free to send all the cadbury eggs to me -- I'll sacrifice for the group and take all the calories. ;)

Life here is just not good right now. I am trying to hold it all together with the miles and miles of training but every night I am ready to cry.

Sending you a big hug through the computer. (and a cadbury egg, too)

I'm all packed and my car is ready to go - just kids drop off, gym, and shower!

Have a great time -- I love going to Williamsburg.

Scraped it out and this morning it is still red and irratated so we head back for a "double inversion" eyelid roll which we have been told will not hurt but more invasive than just rolling the lower half of the upper eyelid.

Ick! That doesn't sound like much fun.

Honestly, I am at the absolute end of my rope. Between taking care of my dad, Kel being out of remission, me being injured. I am just done.

Extra hug for you too.

Im trying to do light exercise and Ive got some 'medicine' because the painkillers for my back make you.....bunged up. Not good, but will be better soon hopefully - hows that for TMI on a Friday afternoon! :rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon. No cadbury eggs for you, cuz I don't think they would help with bunged up part. :rotfl2:

Hang in there, guys! Better times are coming, I'm sure. (I think I actually saw the sun for a minute today -- there's your sign).

Have a great weekend!!! :lovestruc

LisaPR, sorry for the crummy day. Mine yesterday was awful too, and I think a bunch of us were there.

Today, at least, appears to be some better if not all better.

I just finished up with a kickboxing class, in which I did 100 pushups, and FIFTY of them were real (not on my knees)!!! :yay:

I also completed W3D2 of couch to 5k last night. I think I am taking tomorrow off. :)
Holy Crap! AWESOME JOB!!!!

Hi everyone...

The sun is shining in my neck of the woods and we had lunch outside for the first time this year! It was awesome... The vendors are back (yummy chicken souvlaki from the Greek truck) and the people are out. It is definitley one of the perks of working here. Feeling better for having gone out.
Yes the SUN was out here to that is why I was MIA! I was out in shorts and T-shirt Jumping on the trampoline with the kids! Today it's raining~ :sad2:

I love chocolate with nuts, chocolate with caramel - pretty much any chocolate really! The only chocolate I can think of over here with peanut butter in is KitKat Chunky peanut butter. One of the bigger supermarkets does sometimes stock Reeses chocolate, but the nearest one to me is about half an hour away - not that Ive ever been there just for chocolate you understand! :rotfl:
Mmm, fried greasy goodness. Whats not to love? :confused3

Ok NO REESE'S I could NOT live in England! Nope need my peanut butter cup fix once a month! But maybe if just maybe there is lindt or one of the other good 70% cocoa's I guess I could live! And greasy goodness Fries mmm Pizza (must be greasy for goodness)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am not so much into the peanut butter. Now, you add in caramel and nuts, and make it dark chocolate, I am sunk... :faint:

Oh, and I believe that E is all about the chocolate. It is the cheese fries and any fried greasy goodness that she avoids.

Diet thread, indeed!!
I used to have a friend that worked in a chocolate store while in High school and gee they can't sell anything that isn't perfect! LOTS OF REJECTS to sample! Thank god she didn't work there LONG!
Kat can we say turtles! MMMM those are good!

Lyz - :yay: so glad to see you back today. Reester Bunnies? Sounds yummy!

Steph - how are you filling your time now that the show is over?
Enjoying myself! :yay::woohoo: Now its on to the yard work! I found tuplips today coming up where I wanted to plant some last fall but never got to it! SO I was psyched!

Amy - I am also grossed out by eggs. I can't help but think it's a chickens period. Gag.
OMG .. GAG!

Well still sounds like fun!

Erika~ hope that all is going well I totally know the feeling with having the kids at home and not feeling well.
Did you go to the doctors yet? Full report is needed!

Lisa/pr ~ I totally know the feeling of husband being an a$$. I have one of those! One minute he is fine and then boom MENTAL CASE! And usually over nothing. My thoughts are with you!

Dawn, hope the kids recoup soon!

Amy~ weather is in the 60 this week!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Sorry I know EVIL!:stir:

Liz ~ hope that you and Jodi have a great weekend! enjoy the time!

Ok off to finish re arranging the house! We got rid of the piano that was in the foyer so I need to shuffle some stuff around to fill in the big hole!

Hey--was on my way to the doc when the school called about Kel (again. Second time today). So I turned around grabbed her from school and then continued on. Not much to report. Muscle strain. Gee? Really? I had no idea. But they gave me more pain killers (not all bad :rotfl2:) and referred me BACK to PT!

Which, honestly, I knew was coming. What else is there to do, right? But I swear, I am going to be so embarrassed going back there. Last time, I was "Yeah, I have a pulled hamstring and I have no idea how I did it..." And now it will be, "Now it is the other leg that is in total pain. And I have no idea how I did it..." Ugh! I am hoping that at least they can provide some insight. I am going to bring both pairs of running shoes and see if they have an opinion.

That is on Monday morning. And I'll go from there right up to my running coach and see what he has to say about the shoes.

Thanks for letting me vent.

And where are the PICS?!?!?! I need something!

Hello All.

Sorry I've been absent but I've had a "weird sleep" week. I have trouble sleeping sometimes and it gets my whole person out of kilter. Plus, I'm a little under-the-weather. Not sick really, just feeling crappy.

Paula, I may be out of jokes. :goodvibes

I'll have to think and see what I can come up with. :thumbsup2

/
Nancy--love the names! Hi lar ious! Next time there are goat babies, can we pick the names? Please?? And how do you keep them all straight? Do they have little name tags somewhere?

Whoo boy. I'm pretty much a control freak when it comes to naming. :rolleyes1 I'll take your suggestions into consideration  No name tags. It's like having a classroom full of kids. You just know who they are!

Plus I am not judging, I am the one of the problem heads,

I read that and thought "Paula is a PROBLEM?" So easily confused.

Hope you have a great Jesse-free weekend!

Life here is just not good right now. I am trying to hold it all together with the miles and miles of training but every night I am ready to cry.

 I'm so sorry you aren't getting the support that you need from home. But you are so close to finishing this Lisa. You need to do this for you. Then you can do whatever else the family needs. You are an amazing parent with all that you do. And an amazing athlete to be able to run those distances day after day. Please know that we are all so very proud of you.

And puh-leeze. You are not being "a butt". You are being human. We all like to see our achievements recognized now and then, and to be told that our aspirations are worthy of our efforts.:flower3:

I'm all packed and my car is ready to go - just kids drop off, gym, and shower! Jodi has her in depth 20 week sonogram this morning, so she will be ready to head out after that. She is feeling better knowing the baby is still there and growing!

Enjoy fully. :goodvibes

Lots to do today - be prepared the pics may alarm you! You have no idea how bad the kitchen was.:scared1:

Oh trust me. We lived in an old 2 family house before we built this one. And we remodelled BOTH kitchens there before we sold it. Absolutely nothing can surprise me after that.

Team. I like that. :lovestruc 'cause in so many ways, we really are.

Sending :wizard: and  to you and Kelly.

Liz, have fun!! Wish I could jaunt up to say hi but my weekend is actually fairly packed for once.

Anything fun? :confused3 Hockey on the "big ice" perhaps?

um. Well, at least it's temporary weight ;) Hope your back is on the mend!

Amy - I am also grossed out by eggs. I can't help but think it's a chickens period. Gag.

Gee, thanks for sharing that Lyz. :crazy2:

So I gather that your job this weekend is to be "Everything to Everyone" and make sure that everybody is happy. Hmmm. Kinda like being MOM to a crowd.

(are you a closet Duggar wanna-be ;) )

Enjoying myself! :yay::woohoo: Now its on to the yard work! I found tuplips today coming up where I wanted to plant some last fall but never got to it! SO I was psyched!

:yay: Spring flowers make me SO happy

Not much to report. Muscle strain. Gee? Really? I had no idea. But they gave me more pain killers (not all bad :rotfl2:) and referred me BACK to PT!

Muscle strain. That's the best they could do? :confused3 You've had dibilitating pain for what? A week now? Seems like they could have at least humored you and ordered a few diagnostic tests. <sheesh>

Sorry I've been absent but I've had a "weird sleep" week. I have trouble sleeping sometimes and it gets my whole person out of kilter. Plus, I'm a little under-the-weather. Not sick really, just feeling crappy.

Hope you feel better soon. I thought of you this a.m. They had this little segment on the news about RA. Made me wonder how close you live to a "high traffic" area, as apparently traffic has a negative effect on RA. :confused3 It all seemed like an odd connection to me. But hey - if someone has done a scientific study, who am I to argue?

No, no hockey. Just a hockey team end-of-year party tonight, then I am going to tour Duke Gardens with a local child-free group tomorrow. Spring is in full bloom here, trees are flowering, most of them have leaves, and it is likely to be spectacular. Plus tomorrow, 75 and sunny!

Sunday is a company dinner for D, which I may attend (will blow the diet out of the water, but yumminess...). We got great news today on that front, his store has renewed the lease for a year!! :yay:

Oh, and high traffic area? Roddy??

Sure rub it in that it's going to be nice there! We are expecting flurries tonight and Sunday will be mixed bag!

Ok so I finally got some pictures from the show. I was in a total funk this year with the show (last year I took about 90 pictures this year not even close) SO here are a few some are mine some are from SIL.
Sorry these are small they are from my cell:

Oh those aren't Sam's real EYebrows! She will kill me for even posting them! I told her she looked like oscar the grouch!

I have more but battery is dead and I need to charge but I am being lazy!

I will post more another time
Nancy costumes were NOT at all fancy this year, in fact Sam's costume was her own pants a cheap $1 store white t-shirt and a borrowed jean shirt. and they charged us $35 for costume rental.

That's what I kinda figured :rolleyes1

:lmao: That's the first thing I noticed. The eyebrows. :lmao:

WOW we are busy tonight! Just got home from eating out with the family.. didn't do so hot had a plateful of chicken wings! Ok something stinks in this house and I need to find it!

Dawn--pics! (I'm relentless, ya know! :rotfl2: ) Is Carsyn feeling any better now? Resting?

Nancy--you? A control freak? I mean, really, there are so many more goats in your future. We HAVE to be allowed to name some of them! :rotfl2:

Liz--I know you are reading on your iPhone. Hope all is going well and you are having a great time! Glad mom is home from the hospital! And how was Jodi's ultrasound?

Lyz--good luck at the show this week-end! I hope it all runs smoothly!

Paula--have a great week-end!

LisaPR--thinking of you and your LOOOOOOONG run this week-end!

Steph--OMG, I am so glad you posted that about Sam's eyebrows! I was like, oh, poor kid! :rotfl2:

Roddy--sorry you are in crapville. I swear, it is the change of seasons thing.

Kat--sounds like you have a good week-end planned. Have super fun! And the sun! Jealous. It has been POURING here all day.

Kelly--no Reese's? Life is unfair! :rotfl2: How's the back pain?

Aim--report on Delena, please. :flower:

Hi everyone else!

I am feeling a bit better. Pain meds help! :lmao: I just needed to let everything out tonight and I did. So now I am feeling less overwhelmed.

You see, prior to becoming a running goddess, whenever I was stressed, I ate. Then I got back into fitness, and running became my stress release. Well, now I am stressed and injured, so I can't run. And therefore I have had no outlet for my stress! Ugh! But again, feeling better now. And really, within a week, 2 or 3 of my major stressors will be under control, so hopefully I can just hang on until then.

Oh! I almost forgot! LYZ! The eggs! HOMG! I about DIED when I read that! :rotfl2::lmao:

We are coloring Easter eggs this week-end.

In fact, we have a hugely busy week-end. Easter egg hunt tomorrow. My brother and 3 of his kids arrive in town tonight. (Kelly Annette! :lovestruc) Cammie has her piano recital tomorrow. And we are taking the kids to get their passports tomorrow. Looks like they are going to get a ton of use in the next year. Palm Sunday--Riley has the "lead" in the skit that the kids are doing in church. So like I said, busy week-end!

Busy day here. AC repair, catching up on some mundane house chores, and sulking over how much $$ we had to spend on the AC. Over it now though.

Lyz--Yes the egg thing. OMG. :lmao: I really just have texture issues with eggs. I never thought about it like that.

Steph--Loved all the pics!

Liz--Great news about your mom! Enjoy your weekend!

Erika--Delena is back to herself. Wild. eating and drinking is still a bit off, but I think the antibiotics are bothering her tummy. Woo-Hoo for the painkillers. Hopefully the PT will help.

LisaPR-- I hope your LR goes well this weekend.

I am racing tomorrow morning. Aflac Iron girl series. *only* a 5K, out by clearwater beach. Picked up my number and all that tonight. Totally sweet tech shirt. And an aflac talking duck among other goodies. And when I finish I will get a medal. Sweet. Only 15 dollar registration cost too!! hoping to go under 33 minutes, but will be happy with anything under 36.

Finishing off my playlist now and then it will be off to bed.

Yeah Roddy. Good to see you Roddy. Hope you have some better days ahead.

Kelly, yes no so not worth the show. :lmao: Oh Reesester Bunnies. I was actually on the lookout for them today Lyz.

Lisa, I"m so sorry that you're having to face all that at home Lisa. So incredibly sorry. I'm feeling it through your words. I'm all for compromise in relationships but I am never for giving up things that brings one joy. Those things are too flippin' precious. It's road to he!!, to give those things up, as far as I'm concerned.

As for hubby - I've been thinking about him all day. Strange I know. That's me - strange. And here was my thought. I've been hearing over and over about how much men are suffering in this economy because men innately have an inability to separate their self worth as a human and their ability to provide for their loved ones/family. So I guess I'm wondering outloud if this could be his reasoning in his head. Ie. Fear of not providing. As in coming down on your races/time away because he fears this outcome. Now before you think WTH - I mean his perception and maybe not reality. Erika has come on here and said Jeff and her are doing fine but his having to layoff people, this economy has made him worry. And miserable at times. Yet Erika says they are doing better/the same as last year. I have heard a thousand times that for men not providing feels like death. Lisa, I hate that he is doing what he's doing. I'm not excusing by any means. I'm just wondering if this is his reasoning - fear and it's coming out as crap to you. Just wondering outloud. I know nothing about him or your situation - obviously. I hope I haven't hurt your head. Or of course could be right off base. Of course. :3dglasses

You love running Lisa - it shows. Do not stop running. :flower3: Once again, sorry about all of this. Here's to a better week. I'm so flippin' proud of you that you are back to running big time. So flippin' proud.

Hi everyone!

Nancy, last night Jean says "what do you want me to bring home?". I said, "not goat roti tonight please". :dance3::lmao::lmao:. It's quite the day when I say no to my lovely meal. You're killin' me Nancy. Two of your goats have our nicknames and that felt a little to eerie to eat one of my favourite meals.
