In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Just got home from the concert. Chad is very, very amusing. Thank God I have a sense of humor and laugh at everything. Really, here's the thing: I like to play your reindeer games. And some people don't. But I do, so you can plop me in the middle of a concert by my least favorite band and I will find a way to enjoy myself.

He did do his famous "I say Nickel, you say Back. Nickel! Back! Nickel! Back!"

ERIKA GOOD LUCK ON THE TRI I CAN'T wait to here all about it!

Steph - Hey! Nice to see you!

I know, I have to have my computer near me. So much easier to track, etc etc. So is the tanning the exercise motivation? Walking and all?

Okay songs! This is who has a song already:

Steph
Amiee
Erika
Lyz
Kat
Nancy
Kelly
Paula
Dawn
Me
Lisa V

I know I had one for Amy, but I have to find my notes and figure out what it was! Who else wants a song? It doesn't have to be your life's theme song, just a song to represent who you are on here, or where you are in your weight loss journey. Or life journey. It ranges, but it's not hard and fast, it's space specific. Steph, I picked yours, btw. You'll LOVE it.

And we have a group song, too! "Proud" from the BL. Go listen, read the lyrics. You'll all like it.

Tanning is to get me out of the grey gloomy seasonal depression. I did walk my butt off the other night at work, it was so busy! I am going to assume it will be busy again tonight! THe weather has started to FINALLY warm up so I should be hitting the roads monday already found out that if I walk around the block it is exactly a mile! Also I will have a lot of yard work to start. I am still playing fetch with mocha daily.
I now have another ten pounds to take off, that is my total weight gain since November. YUCK! I tried on bathing suits last night at Target and I found one that I loved but WOW it was on the snug side so yeah those ten pounds are in my way... cuz my jeans that all were so baggy aren't so baggy anymore.
Ok off to fake bake!:thumbsup2

Ok when is the BIG reveal OF OUR SONGS??? I want to know mine!

Good Morning All! It's supposed to be in the 70's here today and it is sooo sunny! Awesome way to cure the winter gloomies!!!

I am off for an eventful morning of gymnastics and basketball.

Good morning! I am here. I have already had a busy day as J and I cleaned out our closet. Good times. It has been torn apart for the past couple of weeks as J put in some built-ins and it was re-painted, etc. So today we had to put everything back in place and we purged while doing that. I love a clean and organized closet and ours is always a disaster b/c we end up just dumping everything in there. It is a walk-in (10' x 10') and so it is really easy to just dump stuff. But now we should be more organized in there. And since I am not working out today, I actually have time for home projects like this!

Here is a thread that you need to check out. It is only 2 pages. But anyone who is thinking about doing the Princess Half with us next year should look...because this is us. These are friends from the Wish team, all met each other here on the DIS, are now thick as thieves, and who are all at Disney together right now to do this race. There are GREAT pics and anyone on the fence about doing the race, this will push you over the edge!

Notice the racing bib...instead of just your name on it like marathon week-end, it says Princess Erika. Everyone will have Princess in front of their name for the race. FUN! And I love the shoe graphic--totally feminine jock chic. :rotfl2:

That is awesome! OMG, I want to go sooo bad!

Erika, have a great time tomorrow! Have fun! Enjoy it! You're a real athlete!

Steph, I will reveal all songs after everyone who wants to play our reindeer games plays. ;)

OMG:scared1: Your closet is the same size as my bedroom.

:lmao: :rotfl: Actually your walk-in is a tad larger. :lmao: :rotfl:

OMG, I totally mentally skipped that. Yes, I kind of want to live in Erika's closet. I have an old house. We do not have that space. Although I do love my closet. We ripped out the old one - just took them bodily out of the wall and put in Pax by Ikea. So much nicer.

Do you ever think people might be stunned by how you live? Or is it just me, going, hmm, my house? Not huge. Not new. And not like, cute old. :rotfl: You know, not quaint old.

I know. This weather is making me giddy. So flippin' giddy. However, FB practically ripped all of it out of me. :rotfl:

Yeah, cause it hasn't sold yet. :lmao: :rotfl:

Hmmm, no I guess I never think about that. I have lived in every type and size place imaginable. Real sh*tholes and the house that I have now. Apartments, condos, etc. And even a tent for an entire summer. :rotfl: So not much phases me in terms of living accommodations.

And my house now? I like it. But it is certainly nothing special, not in this town anyway. Compared with my friends, my house is smack in the middle...some are bigger and nicer, some are smaller and older, etc.

Funny thing about my big closet, though! When Cammie was born, we hadn't finished her room yet. So we put her crib and changing table IN THE CLOSET. Yes, for a year, my baby daughter's room was the closet. We used to love to shock people with that, "Yeah, we just have her in the closet." :lmao: But seriously, it made sense. I was nursing and the closet is basically part of our bedroom, so it was nice to just have her right there. And it was certainly big enough to be a small bedroom. It just doesn't have a window, so we always had the door open.

I love that! Nick used to joke that we'd just put a baby in the drawer in our old house. It's like a nursery, your walk-in!

I've been told by others that they couldn't live the way I live, so I that's why know some people are surprised by it. Either how I live now, or how I lived before. But there are plenty of people that I live in ways I couldn't. And with people I couldn't! :lmao: Which is really the key, right?

:rotfl2:

It's almost like finding a soul mate, when you sell your place. It's like, can you live how I live? Cause I like how I live, but can you swing it, too?

So flippin' true. So flippin' true.

My agent warned me when we bought it and sold our other to downsize to get the terrace. He said, "Lisa you and I understand paying for outdoor space downtown. But most don't. And it's going to take longer to sell when you need to - just know that".

But of course I never saw what was coming with Jean and I and pompously thought - tough, I'm not moving anyway. Oh life. popcorn:: Popcorn cause I used to love to push feelings down with popcorn. Drug of choice. :rotfl: Hair colour and poporn - two fine inventions. :lmao:

Most will want our suite as their city cottage. He had a buyer who owns a vineyard in Niagara and loved it.

So sometimes the soulmate is like from financial outer space. :rotfl:

And I know you sort of understand me Liz. Because as you describe your place I know that the house has character and that location was so important to you. Everyone has their not giving that up thing. And ours is location. It always has been for me. Always location first. (sadness here - because in order to get my own room - might have to - so sad)

Lovely Erika. :lovestruc

I actually think about big closets as prosepective TV rooms. I hate not being able to get away from the TV. That's one thing I hate. I used to unplug it and put it in the closet each time. But I got lazy. It's like food "are you really going to do that for life?". No.

Yeah. Life is something. I so miss home. If I had money I would have a tad bigger but not much. I'm not into space.

There are so many lovely things about our place. We simply can't acquire "things". We just can't. I figure I'm saving the environment in my own small way by living small - heat, water etc. And walking everywhere. And when family comes we have the best time. No one can disappear and we're all together. And yes Jean and I fight more. But fighting isn't always bad. It truly pushes through crap at a much faster rate. People/couples/families can hide from each other in big spaces. I truly believe bigger houses in the last thirty years has some part in more divorces. Yes, everyone needs space. I do too. But the city is my space. The amenities in the building are my space. Jean being so busy is my space.

Look I might give up on selling at some point but here's another issue besides me acutally having sex one day. :lmao: We need the capital out to pay off bills. Big time. And the banks try to tie us into secure loans. And it's bullsh!t. Secure loans are really a second mortgage. And I won't do it. First, it pisses me off to no end that they try to fool you with their endless new lingo and two what if one of us lost our jobs again? I'm not giving them all my flippin' capital.

Okay, vent over. Back to giddy.

Erika, if I'm not back on - have a wonderful race. And all the best to your mom as well. I hope you both have a fabulous day. Is Cammie taking pics? I hope so. :lovestruc

Lot to say, but want to get this in.

ERIKA!!! Pixie Dust being sent your way!

I'll think of you as soon as my daggon alarm clock goes off in the morning!!!!
