In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

It is sad Paula. :sad2: One of the best Edward's in my collection too.

I may have to resort to shiratake noodles. :lmao::rotfl:

And back to exercise talk...

Forgot to mention that this month's runner's world has some good articles in it for beginner runners, for anyone who may be interested.

Well helloooooooo Edward

Im here, but busy busy busy. I haven't done a THING for Cyprus and we leave on Sunday!
At least I finished work today, so Ive got tomorrow and Saturday. Tomorrow night is 'Twilight Girls Night In Extravaganza!', and Im going to visit my niece in the afternoon - where has the time gone. I really need to pull my finger out and get something done!

Erika - Glad to hear yesterday went well, still thinking good thoughts for Kelly.

LisaPR - Congratulations on the goal weight, you rock star! :cool1:

Everyone - hi!

GLad to see I didn't totally kill the thread!! :lmao:

I knew you would love the edward, Kelly!!! good luck with your packing!

And in other edward news, I got my backpack in the mail today that I left at my parents that had my Twilight DVD in it. Now I can have edward in my living room anytime I want!! Sigh. :lovestruc

Good monring everyone...

Erika - the angry eyes are on behalf of Nancy and not directed towards her. They are for her to use on her trainer who keeps putting off the body fat analysis testing (for like months now). We love Nancy and would never direct angry eyes towards her. She is way too cool for that.

Sunny - good to see you posting. Hope all is well!

LisaPR - awesome that you are at goal weight!!!! I know you are going to totally rock this marathon. The story about the dog eating the Easter Bunny was too funny! How did you explain that one away?

Hi Lisa!!!!

OK - got a late start this morning (can't wait to stop taking the nightly benadryl as it is screwing with my morning schedule...). Should be a quiet day work wise and then training tonight. Let's see if I can crack up Jesse again tonight. Not sure if he has recovered from his laughing fit on Tuesday.

Hugs to everyone...
Paula

Can't wait to hear Paula.

Hi everyone!

Hi!

And hi to everyone!

/
Good Morning Lisa!

Good evening Sunny. :lovestruc

Morning everyone!! LisaV up so early!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I am still working on figuring out this new computer. It is quirky (nice term) and I am having troubles here and there. They also replaced my ergo keyboard with a straight one and hence, I am the typo queen this morning. Too bad for me I get paid by the line. :lmao: The new ergo should be in by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.

Erika, that stinks about j and the laying off. It must be so hard to do that. Yay for you running again though!!

I did the grocery shopping yesterday which went remarkably smoothly. Hmm, is something up?? Then home and tried my Garmin out of desperation again and it came back to life miraculously. Hmm, something really must be up. Then an 8 mile run with a 9:50 mpm pace. :faint:::yes:: there is some good karma out there. Then I went to print out my confirmation card for CMM and some brain surgeon took my time from the Hollis half marathon and decided my predicted finish time for the full was 4:45...:scared1::scared1: I have to drop 2 corrals in order to start with my running buddy...:rolleyes1 Yeah, all the planets were aligned yesterday apparently until they fell out of the sky and crashed to earth with that news. 4:45, are they crazy??? :lmao::lmao::lmao: So then Mike comes out with "I think you can do it. You should try." Mr. Going to Hurt Myself trying a full has spoken. And you all wonder why I am insane????

In other news, Mike started running. Yeah, you read that right. He decided I was looking so good that he should start doing something so he was not a grizzled up fat old man with a hot wife. :sad2: At least he called me hot. Or maybe there are other plans I should know about, lol. Oh and this morning I weighed in at my goal weight. The shock will be if I can hold this until Monday weigh in!!! popcorn:: Especially with 20 miles to run this weekend. My last long run until the marathon..... Of course, that means I am 2 weeks out too.

Oh and Easter around here is usually a small basket for the kids here and then Grammie hides eggs and does the humungo dinner but they left for Texas yesterday so it is just us. We will have to hide eggs after I get up for work and the dogs go out, otherwise they get Easter first. One year, when Shelby was small before David came along, the lab we had ate all the Easter eggs Mike and I had hidden the night before and left a pile of hair he had shed in the middle of the LR floor. Shelby thought he ate the Easter bunny...:scared:

First of all - listen there are no good vibes for me having to be up at six. None. And don't be sendin' any my way. :lmao:;) Nada.

Laughing happy morning girl. How the hate the mornings. :sad2:

You know the bolded line, after all his selfish thoughts about your love of running, made me almost drop the computer. Good thing you said "yeah you read that right". OMG. Unbelievable. :laughing:And then he acknowledged he had a hot wife so I forgave him. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:;) Is he like that Lisa? Where you want to kill him and then he comes out with something that pardons the boy?!?!?;)

Lisa - congratulations to you on goal. Fantastic. Very happy for you. You should be so darn proud of yourself. Look at you - you've done it surrounded by a lot of stress. Yeah for you.

OK, i read everything that i missed. WAY too much to be able to comment on most of it, but i read it!

Liz - i think your luau idea is awesome! Hope mom's feeling good.

E - hope Kel is OK, in my thoughts!!!

I'm off to an early bed time tonight, so hopefully i'm back to being a functioning member of society tomorrow.

Have a great night!

Hi Stacey!! June is coming quickly, eh? Nice.

So LisaV
Feeling are this: I was glad to talk to him we got the whole PROM thing out of the way! I told him that at the time I hadn't felt bad about it, but as I got older and thought about it, it was a nasty thing to do! Unfortunately, he has just become single and he was hoping I was unhappy and was reaching out to start something, but I told him NO ABSOLUTELY NOT! TOTALLY NOT THE CASE. So over all if anything I cleared my conscious of dumping him two weeks before PROM! AND apologized for it! I don't think I will peruse any

:lovestruc Steph. I really glad you did what you wanted to do - even though we all shouted no phone. We all ask advice but you have to be settled.

where IS everyone?? hope everyone is okay. I've just been busy keeping up with Delena. Here is my lame attempt to revive the thread...Edward!! :lovestruc

Swoon!

Nice try Amy...

Sad when even Edward can't get people to come out and play...

Back to the salt mines for me!

I so need a smartphone. If I can hold out until December, I can get one greatly discounted.

It is sad Paula. :sad2: One of the best Edward's in my collection too.

I may have to resort to shiratake noodles. :lmao::rotfl:

You had me hooked at Edward and then have to add shiratake. Are you trying to turn me into an addict?

Hi Guys! Or should I say girls, since Mr Roddy is MIA. Come out, Roddy! We'll discuss Mirena again just for you!

BTW, still waiting to hear if my insurance covers it. It better. I am so over the pill. And babies.

So, anyhoo...

Good to see everyone! Sunny! The Lisas - like the Heathers, but nicer.

Lisa PR Goal weight. OME! Goddess crown for you!

Steph - good end to the phone call, me thinks.

Lisa V - so, how are YOU? Are you on? Off? Drifting?

Lyz, I am about to bring in the Easter candy. You know where that's going, right? Did you SEE those dark chocolate peanut M&M's???

Kat - I have no idea how you started at C25K W3. I am struggling with it!

Erika - CRUISE! Soooo excited for you!

Amy - thank God we have you posting Edward to keep us together!

Ronda - Still feeling the amazement of running? I think about you and your DGF when I get on the dreadmill.

Stacey - how IS grad school???

Lisa Z - you totally posted and I've forgotten what is going on with you! Tell me!

Kelly - Sunday, WOW. I am so jealous. I think if you kill them there, it doesn't count, FYI. :lmao:

Nancy - Had ice cream for dinner, thought of you! What is UP with Erin???

Paula - That Easter pie stuff is the bomb. We don't have it. I'm jealous.

So, me. Mom got her heart shocked and it restarted fine. That was yesterday. So far so good, see how long it lasts. She needs to breathe, do breathing exercises, because she's been diminished for so long.

Not tracking, but exercising. Which is good, right? Back on tracking on Monday. I think I'm still rocking the challenge, considering. Ice cream for dinner and all. Nick is home until Tuesday. Either we will love each other or I'll be on here every second. :rotfl:

Okay, gotta go shop! Groceries for Sunday!

Liz - So glad to hear that your mom's procedure went well.

Where is everybody? I'm usually fussing that I have too much to catch up on.

I so need a smartphone. If I can hold out until December, I can get one greatly discounted.

Can you get me one too???? So need to get one of those so I can get off the grid at work.

Liz - I would send you some, but I don't think it would travel well. One more reason to plan a weekend trip. I'll bring it and some of dad's homemade wine with me. We might be able to get Nancy to join us for more of that right Nancy?

I am tired tonight. LisaV - this is for you... Jesse totally killed me tonight. He totally focused on my arms and core with more pushups than I ever thought possible. As if that wasn't bad enough, I then had to do shoulder presses and other fun torture devices. I believe I called the medicine ball the spawn of satan as I was on my third set of walking my arms out on that thing to work my core. Planks, push ups and core - good times. On the plus side, I did do five 1/2 push ups from my toes so that is progress. (and yes it was at the beginning of the workout - there was no way I would have been able to do them at the end)

So I am off to crash otherwise I am likely to just fall asleep with my face on the keyboard and then who knows what kind of message that would end up being.

Ciao'
Talk to you in the morning.

Wow, have I had a super busy couple of days. Today at work I made candy. Home-made Peanut Butter Cups. OMG are they evil.

Today was also the opening of the Middle School play - "Clue". Cute. No performance tomorrow, but Saturday night instead.

Wait, I'm confused...why are we giving Nancy angry eyes??

Well. I guess I'm glad you were confused! I woulda felt bad if you were all like "yeah. Give her those angry eyes, 'cause she totally deserves it"

Nancy, I agree with shooting the trainer the angry eyes. I think I would confront her with exactly why she is not doing it. If I were closer, I would do it for you.

At this point, I don't even care anymore. Whatever.

He decided I was looking so good that he should start doing something so he was not a grizzled up fat old man with a hot wife. :sad2: At least he called me hot.

Grizzled up fat old man. :lmao: Hot. Nice compliment :goodvibes

Erika - the angry eyes are on behalf of Nancy and not directed towards her. They are for her to use on her trainer who keeps putting off the body fat analysis testing (for like months now). We love Nancy and would never direct angry eyes towards her. She is way too cool for that.

aw, shucks. :flower3:

My pucker is officially broken.

OMG. That would be a his-TER-ical tag :scared1:

;)

Hi Guys! Or should I say girls, since Mr Roddy is MIA. Come out, Roddy! We'll discuss Mirena again just for you!

Yeah Roddy. Come out, come out, where ever you are :confused3

Nancy - Had ice cream for dinner, thought of you! What is UP with Erin???

Ice cream for dinner. A new trend has begun, me thinks

So Erin. I don't know. When her fiancee dropped off her phone yesterday, I was oh-so very close to telling her that even this Amish girl knows that she can set her cell phone to remind her of things. :rolleyes1 (my kids taught me that  - see those kids DO come in handy now and then :rotfl2:)

The shiratake noodle as is on your screen, but not everyone's. They are individualized based on what you type and read and other cookies, etc. I have an ad for the Minneapolis Marathon right now. :rotfl2:

Liz--glad mom is ok right now.

LISAPR!!!! GOAL! Holy cow! Awesome! SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

AMY--thank for the Edward. OME! I had forgotten how much I love him and the Cullens.

Lyz--will need egg pics.

Paula--glad you met with Jesse tonight! WOO HOO! Love that you are still on it.

Cruise update--I finally booked airfare, reserved the rental car, booked DVC ( we are staying for a couple of days before the cruise...got BCV!!!) And while it doesn't sound like a lot, it really was. We are taking 2 flights...the girls and I on one and J and Riley on the other. I have a SW credit that will cover three of us, and Jeff as frequent flier miles for him and Riley. So we all fly free, which is great! But we have to coordinate different airlines, etc. So that took some major work to make that happen so that we take of land at similar times and all of that.

Still have so much stuff going on that my head is spinning, but I am ok. Handling it and not freaking out. And not eating.

Today = biked 9 miles, elliptical for 30 minutes, some basic (easy) strength. Did my first set of squats in what? 3 months? Felt good and minimal pain! HUGE step for me. Tomorrow I have a 4-miler on tap, so we'll see how that goes. I really need to start building up my distance again. I hate that I lost it due to injury!

Which reminds me, AMY! So I have a Donald in my sig since I got locked out of Goofy. But they re-opened Goofy so I am going to re-register. Can we please, please train and do the the Mickey together? I think having a training partner will be so great.

Honestly, I am not sure if I am going to do the Goofy or not. I want to register for it so I have the option of doing the Half, the Full, or both. Jeff is doing the Half. Not sure why I can't convince him to do a full. He can run 15 today at the drop of a hat. No big deal for him at all.

I'll bring it and some of dad's homemade wine with me. We might be able to get Nancy to join us for more of that right Nancy?

:lmao: I saw "wine" and "Nancy" in the same line and got really excited. Oh yes, Liz. Paula's dad's wine. :lovestruc

Great job on the workout, Paula. 5 1/2 pushups. :woohoo: Progress!

I'm headed to bed. Tired. And hubby oh-so-thoughtfully scheduled to have the appraiser at our house tomorrow morning at 8:00 am. :headache: He completely forgot that the kids have no school :rotfl2: They are NOT too happy that they have to get their butts outta bed in the morning :lmao:

Oh - and I did track and exercise - but my journal is in the other room and I am far to tired to go fetch it. I'll report in tomorrow.
