In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Hi! Can't believe the lack of posting! Oh well, I am certainly a contributing factor to that!

I RAN today! First time in EIGHT days! That is the longest I have ever gone without running. I was super nervous. I thought for sure that I would be back at Week 1 of C25k! But I did about 3.5 miles and it was fine. I was sore afterwards, but not terribly so. I am going to do an every-other-day schedule until I am healed (or it gets worse...whichever happens first, I guess! :rotfl2: )

Thanks for all of the well wishes for Kelly! I really appreciate it. Tests went fine and we got some answers yesterday, though not all. We head back down to Boston Children's Hospital again in a few weeks for the rest of the diagnostics. But it will be a while yet before we have the complete picture.

Jeff laid off his entire group today. Horrible. Beyond horrible. And he now begins transitioning to a new job in the company which will truly mean big changes for us. Not necessarily good or bad...just big changes.

RONDA--GREAT job with your running! You are SO close!

AMY--well, Kat and Liz have a race at the end of this month (which I still might join them for), and Jeff and I have two races in May. Then Paula and Nancy have bike events after that. So we should have LOTS of race reports headed your way!

LisaPR--hope you are feeling better! Check in when you can!

Kat--great job on the push-ups! WOW!

Paula--you are still a rock star!

Dawn--??? Come post those pics! :lmao:

Lyz/EE--did you listen to the podcast? Thoughts on the "big surprise"? The way they built it up on the boards, I thought it would be something other than what it is.

Ok, so I leave 4 weeks from tomorrow and NOTHING is done. Yikes. Have to get on that tomorrow. I have time. I just have to do it.

Podcast - I haven't yet, but will soon. Sounds like I will be disappointed for you.

Glad to hear you made it through your run.

And as far as your hubby's job goes, I'm wishing for an easy transition for your family.

Crazy busy day. Haven't read a thing!

Body fat - well, didn't happen  she forgot to bring them (whatever!) - but I will say that while I was talking to her, her finacee brought her cell phone and something else that she had left on the counter, so it's possible. But like I said, whatever.

Food check in: (cause I've been tracking, but not tellin')

Food: 30 points. Seems high, but they were good quality points and I was legitimately hungry today

Exercise: 60 minutes running. I ran for "time" not for distance, so I don't know how far, just how long. I did have to stop in the middle of my run and stretch my hip flexor which was acting up. :headache: I was able to continue at an easy pace and finish my run no trouble.

Alcohol: almost, but none.

Water: check.

Hope everyone has a great night - I promise to go back and read tomorrow.

Nancy - my angry eyes are starting to form... just sayin'

I am tired tonight. Got in my cardio workout and am waiting for the ham pie to finish cooking so I can go to bed.

Tomorrow is another day right?

I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.
Paula

So sighing. Holy crap - can't imagine all around. Those poor people. Don't know how J has got through it all. Once again, he must be beyond drained.

Changes? I'll refrain from my usual questioning. For now. Curiousity is calling.

Good to hear about your run. The every other day, which I know is a must, was read three times over. :lmao: Cause it's simply strange to read on one of your posts. :3dglasses It's like one of things just doesn't belong. But good for you stubborn girl for actually following the guidelines given. Impressive.

Kelly. Geez. I simply don't know what to say. :lovestruc

One of our cats just brought me lottery tickets. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Powerballs at that. Like I know a thing about lottery tickets - Jean lives for them.

Wait, I'm confused...why are we giving Nancy angry eyes??

And LisaV--why so down? (And when I have an ounce of energy, I will type out all the changes, etc. so don't worry. I won't leave you in the dark. :goodvibes) Oh, and the running is every-other-day. When I don't run, I bike. Natch. ;)

First of all it's insensitive of me to worry/wonder about the changes when so much is going on...

Not Nancy - her trainer. Her trainer has been promising to measure Nancy's lack of fat for ages and ages. Actually somewhere around the middle ages. :lmao:

Of course you do Erika. Bike on the other day. I knew that and didn't quite know how you were - how I should guess - pushing the instructions. Natch - whatever the he!! that means. :lmao:

Down. Just ridiculous thought process again. Working on it - thanks Erika.

So LisaV
Feeling are this: I was glad to talk to him we got the whole PROM thing out of the way! I told him that at the time I hadn't felt bad about it, but as I got older and thought about it, it was a nasty thing to do! Unfortunately, he has just become single and he was hoping I was unhappy and was reaching out to start something, but I told him NO ABSOLUTELY NOT! TOTALLY NOT THE CASE. So over all if anything I cleared my conscious of dumping him two weeks before PROM! AND apologized for it! I don't think I will peruse any other talk with him, just because he is the type of person that will either 1. Be a stalker or 2. just hold on waiting for an opening. SO like I told him it was nice to talk to him. But that will probably be the last time I talk to him!
Of course all the girls at work tonight asked me if I had talked to him today and I SAID NO this is not a relationship this was a single phone call. Of course the next question was did I dream of him and that was also a NO. SO not even involuntary did I think of him afterwards.
Ok off to bed! I am tired tonight! Tyler has his gym show tomorrow need to find battery charger and charge battery for the camera for tomorrow!
NIGHTY NITE!

I'm actually waking up the thread!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Way too early. So not a morning person. Have a wonderful day everyone!!:lovestruc

Morning everyone!! LisaV up so early!!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

I am still working on figuring out this new computer. It is quirky (nice term) and I am having troubles here and there. They also replaced my ergo keyboard with a straight one and hence, I am the typo queen this morning. Too bad for me I get paid by the line. :lmao: The new ergo should be in by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.

Erika, that stinks about j and the laying off. It must be so hard to do that. Yay for you running again though!!

Nancy, I agree with shooting the trainer the angry eyes. I think I would confront her with exactly why she is not doing it. If I were closer, I would do it for you.

Steph, I think the phone call was perfect. Touch base, get paged, gotta go....loved it!! :thumbsup2

Everyone else, :flower3:

I did the grocery shopping yesterday which went remarkably smoothly. Hmm, is something up?? Then home and tried my Garmin out of desperation again and it came back to life miraculously. Hmm, something really must be up. Then an 8 mile run with a 9:50 mpm pace. :faint:::yes:: there is some good karma out there. Then I went to print out my confirmation card for CMM and some brain surgeon took my time from the Hollis half marathon and decided my predicted finish time for the full was 4:45...:scared1::scared1: I have to drop 2 corrals in order to start with my running buddy...:rolleyes1 Yeah, all the planets were aligned yesterday apparently until they fell out of the sky and crashed to earth with that news. 4:45, are they crazy??? :lmao::lmao::lmao: So then Mike comes out with "I think you can do it. You should try." Mr. Going to Hurt Myself trying a full has spoken. And you all wonder why I am insane????

In other news, Mike started running. Yeah, you read that right. He decided I was looking so good that he should start doing something so he was not a grizzled up fat old man with a hot wife. :sad2: At least he called me hot. Or maybe there are other plans I should know about, lol. Oh and this morning I weighed in at my goal weight. The shock will be if I can hold this until Monday weigh in!!! popcorn:: Especially with 20 miles to run this weekend. My last long run until the marathon.....:cloud9: Of course, that means I am 2 weeks out too.

Not much on for today, just a short easy run and hills. Shelby has softball practice this afternoon and last night was David's first rookie baseball practice. Hoping for a nice restful evening. :woohoo:

Oh and Easter around here is usually a small basket for the kids here and then Grammie hides eggs and does the humungo dinner but they left for Texas yesterday so it is just us. We will have to hide eggs after I get up for work and the dogs go out, otherwise they get Easter first. One year, when Shelby was small before David came along, the lab we had ate all the Easter eggs Mike and I had hidden the night before and left a pile of hair he had shed in the middle of the LR floor. Shelby thought he ate the Easter bunny...:scared:

You will do it you have been training so hard! You'll be great!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: OMG TO FUNNY... I guess to shelby it wasn't but after the fact it is kinda funny. Kinda like when my boys spray painted the cat!:rotfl2:
Ok Hope every one has a great day! I have one with the stomach flu another one saying their belly hurts GREAT! So both are actually going to school the one with the stomach flu has a project due and if it isn't turned in on that day they get a zero doesn't matter if they are dying! the other has his gym show so he is going.:rolleyes1 Oh then NO SCHOOL FOR 11 days after that! They have given them Monday after Vacation off since we didn't use all of our snow days! We had three unused snow days so the other two days will be used in conjunction with the memorial day holiday! Ok lots of stuff to do this am. HAve a good day!

Good monring everyone...

Erika - the angry eyes are on behalf of Nancy and not directed towards her. They are for her to use on her trainer who keeps putting off the body fat analysis testing (for like months now). We love Nancy and would never direct angry eyes towards her. She is way too cool for that.

Sunny - good to see you posting. Hope all is well!

LisaPR - awesome that you are at goal weight!!!! I know you are going to totally rock this marathon. The story about the dog eating the Easter Bunny was too funny! How did you explain that one away?

Hi Lisa!!!!

OK - got a late start this morning (can't wait to stop taking the nightly benadryl as it is screwing with my morning schedule...). Should be a quiet day work wise and then training tonight. Let's see if I can crack up Jesse again tonight. Not sure if he has recovered from his laughing fit on Tuesday.

Hugs to everyone...
Paula

Hi everyone!

LisaPR - you sound great today! Sounds like a good Wednesday, I'm glad.

Steph - your kids are home for 11 days! Mine just get tomorrow and Monday off. Thank Heavans.

I just spent the last hour blowing eggs. My pucker is officially broken.

where IS everyone?? hope everyone is okay. I've just been busy keeping up with Delena. Here is my lame attempt to revive the thread...Edward!! :lovestruc

Nice try Amy...

Sad when even Edward can't get people to come out and play...

Back to the salt mines for me!
