In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

LisaV ~ Love your Vero Pics. As far as my family goes, we are taking baby steps. I have been chatting back and forth with my aunt and my cousin. She and I are only 6 months apart, so for the first 8 years of my life, we were like sisters. I can't explain the void I went through. It's in the past and her dad is no longer stirring up crap or able to control either of them. In a nutshell, we are all healing.

LisaZ ~ Charlaine Harris counts! She was my 3rd vamp author to read. I love her writing style.

Everybody else HELLO!

My computer died on me this morning. Completely dead, must use restore discs dead. Aghh! I have no cookies anymore and my computer is now running super fast (like a brand new laptop fast). There are so many things for me to comment on, and I will tonight. I could barely respond to emails last night, but IM worked. Go figure!

Have a good day!

Here is my running playlist (just in case anyone was interested):
I can only imagine
Where have all the cowboys gone
Stronger
In the Ayer
Right Round
Love lockdown
Lolli Lolli
Goodbye to you
Cowboys
8 mile
Goody two shoes
Bad girlfriend
Naughty naughty
The Final Countdown
Girls just want to have fun
If I could have you back
Fat bottomed girls
Sober
Hungry like the wolf
Girl on the verge
You give love a bad name
Livin on a prayer
What you got
I run for life
Just dance
Shake it
Purple rain (only so I know I am at the end....finally)

Sorry for the long boring post.

I drank way too much last night - a well deserved blow out I think! Im going to get on the cross trainer in a minute, I need to sweat the alcohol out! :lmao:

Good morning everyone!

Kelly, that is funny, I use exercise to "sweat" out the alcohol too. It also fixes my head because unlike some people, I do get hangovers. Not many because I don't drink much but, anyway. I am glad the concert went well and you did not have anything awful happen. I do the same thing with my beer, open in front of me, in my possession all the time, etcetera. :goodvibes

I do this too!! I think it really helps to sweat it out, actually.

Thanks for all of the hugs and good thoughts. I am back at work today and have yet to hear anything, which is probably good news. :)

I've read nothing except for LisaV! Your pictures. WOW!WOW!WOW! You look so freaking great!!!

Ok, back to trying to catch up, and work on the H&G Show! I'm losing it here. I'll be hit and miss for the next 2 weeks. Don't talk too much.

Please reveal the playlist... please.... there may be some VB in it for you if you do.

heck no. We aren't above bribery! or is it "reward" :confused3 Sounds much nicer as "reward"

Dawn - didn't you say that Carsyn's surgery was this week? Hope all is going well.

Yes, yes. Was (is) that today? Why does Tuesday stick in my head??? Please Dawn let us know how she makes out!!!

Btw, Weds. is my appointment with the Ob/Gyn (sorry Roddy). So I guess this is my week for appointments I hate, eh?

:thumbsup2

I'm around 210 or so right now. I don't think I look 210.

I don't think you look 210 either. You must have some pretty dense bones there sister

LOVE the trip report. and the pictures. AND the green hair . All those "Mom" stories are making me teary. Love 'em

So, I'm internationally screwed up as well as mentally. :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

Or Asian West Indians. There are Asians in Jamaica and it's wild to see and hear. It's like your brain goes, "huh".

You know how easily confused I am. My brain would freak. I'd probably be sent into seizures or something. :scared:

I drank way too much last night - a well deserved blow out I think! Im going to get on the cross trainer in a minute, I need to sweat the alcohol out! :lmao:

 yep. I've done that before. Ah the smell of tequila sweat ;) Have a good workout. :upsidedow

Yes running is mental. Running distance is more mental. Mike thinks I'm mental :lmao:. I am beginning to think I am mental too :upsidedow.

:lmao:

After this full I can honestly say that I have no interest in training like this again. It takes a lot of time and it is boring. At least when you are racing, there are other people, different sites and things to see. These long runs alone are just flat out B-O-R-I-N-G. I am going to split this weekends 18 miles into 10 on Saturday and 10 on Sunday and see if that works better. Something has to work better. :sad2:

yes. Tedious is how I describe it. I did my 20 miler in the gym on the TM. Which is horrid. BUT. There were 6 of us training together and we all ran our own pace. After 4 miles we'd switch to a different TM. So we had 5 segments of 4 miles each. Head games. That's all it is.

Oh and Nancy, I know you are biased but how good is goats milk moisturizer? My skin is dry, dry, dry right now and I need some help. Anyone else have a favorite moisturizer?

Depends on the product! The soap I make has all the natural glycerin in it, so it is VERY moisturizing. Commercial products may contain the goat milk, but if they are putting a bunch of chemicals in as well, it's not necessarily going to be "awesome". My absolute favorite stuff for hands is the Hemp Hand Protector by The Body Shop. My hands are so abused. Between all the scalding hot soapy water at work, and the beating they take in the barn - my skin gets wrecked. This stuff is amazing. Couldn't live without it.

Sunny - great to hear from you. Hope you get your computer back soon!

Playlist. I'm gonna have to figure out how to share mine. Talk about an eclectic mix of music

Lisa/pr
OH my I love your play list I forgot some of those songs! Eminem has such a great beat to them very good for walking or running!

Ok just got on the scale with sweats and slippers (since I didn't go to weigh in) I wanted to know where I stood! for at least my self!
I was down 4 pounds since 2 weeks ago!( sorry I had to do it)
So I am on the way back down!

Steph - congrats on the loss. That is awesome news!!!!

Loving reading everyone's playlists. Keep them coming!

Later,
Paula

LisaV - I so want to go to the beach after seeing all of your pics. Thanks for sharing them.

LisaV--Still loving the pics and the report and stories of your Mom and Dad (they are so cute! I love oldsters).

LisaPR--thanks for your list. I will have to get mine up soon. Yeah, eclectic about describes it. What is funny is that what I like to run to, I don't necessarily like to listen to.

Lyz--first taxes and now H&G. Not happy.

Steph--great job on the loss! Doesn't it feel great to be back on?!?!

EE/Sunny--sorry about the computer woes.

Nancy--are you relaxed now that the show is over? Can't believe that they have the nerve to ask you for MORE! :scared1:

As for me, my worst day of the year is now over. Thankfully. And while we DO owe this year, it is not too much of a blood bath. So, it is done and was only mildly painful. (After our shock of a couple of years ago, we always have money set aside in case we owe. And what we owe this year is less than the amount set aside, so it is ALMOST like getting refund, since we get to keep some of that reserve money, if that makes sense.)

And now, here it is after 1pm and I haven't even started work yet for the day.

Do you seriously not know how to copy/paste?

shut up. I hate you. :lmao:

YES, I know how to copy/paste. But I'm totally anal. And I like lists to look like lists. And not all wonky. I use Rhapsody for my music and my play lists are in spreadsheet style charts. And when I copied them to put into a word document the formating is just chaotic.

I WAS relaxed Erika. Until Roddy got all up in my grill about copying and pasting ;)

Well Par-don. Geez, all this Amish talk I thought maybe you didn't know how to copy/paste and I was going to try to help. :sad2:

Paste into an Excel spreadsheet. It might help with the formatting.

Nancy - there is some good stuff on that playlist. I am beginning to think we share a gene pool somewhere along the way. Love that you have the B52's, Violent Femmes and Green Day yet also show some love to Paul Simon, Norah Jones and the rest. Love it.

Now I need to go home and revamp my playlist thanks to all of these new ideas. I'll post the new list when it is ready.

Paula

OMG, Nancy! Now THAT is what I call eclectic! :rotfl2:

See. I wasn't kidding!

FINALLY!!! :cool1:

Someone on this Earth FINALLY recognizes my significance! :lmao:

:worship: Yes, Roddy. You were right!

Going from Kanye West to Carly Simon seems like it would be really an odd transition doesn't it? But they are all great songs, IMO.
