In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Steph - great job! And I took a peak at the house. Very cute. It has alot of character. The fireplace outside, the vines. Lovely. Swimming Pool!!! I am OFFICIALLY JELOUS - and you haven't even bought it yet.

no fireplace out side but there is one inside and it has a wood stove insert. But yes we would like to put a fire pit down by the river! the vines I can do without, though! and the POOOLL ah yes HUGE selling point for us! The only thing with this house and our land is the closeness of the neighbors, the land they weren't close but here very close!

Sorry, I didn't mean the fireplace outside, I meant the chimney. That was beautiful.

Yeah, you won't be able to screech at your kids without the neighbors hearing.

HOMG. I had to run home and tell you this.

Today is a run/walk day for my 5k training. When I started on July 1st, I could only jog for 30 seconds at a time. As of Saturday, my last training day, I could jog for 2 minutes. Today I jogged for 7 mins at once. SEVEN!!!!

Then I walked for 2, jogged for 2, walked for 5, jogged for 5. So total time, 14 mins jogging, 30 with warm up and cool down, but 7 at once!

This is major, major for me. I just thought, let's see how long I can jog for. I'll jog until I want to die then I'll walk. And I did!

I never before understood what people meant when they said "you'll be proud of yourself" for doing something psychical. I never got that, because I never felt it. But I think I'm going to be proud of myself for doing this 5k. Like, I might actually be able to do this!

Ok, off to pick up the kid and head to the pool. Just call me Erika!

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! I know how *fond* Erika is of the bananas, but you deserve a WHOLE BUNCH

In other news I am so close to onederland! I am at 202.2 as of this morning... I don't think I am going to do anything to derail myself tomorrow even though it is my birthday... DH and I had sushi saturday so technically that was my birthday meal... so we'll see... I want to be out of the 200s sooo bad....

Happy Birthday Sarah - the gift of good health. That's the best thing you could ever give yourself! :cheer2:

So weigh in last night thought I was going to be up after two parties over the week but I was down 3.2 pounds for two weeks. So a total of 29.4 total weight loss!

Awesome Steph!! :cheer2: You guys are rockin'!!

So as you can tell we have been a little busy and with out power, so I promise to get caught up reading and responding.

you've been a LITTLE busy? :confused3 I'd call that a WHOLE LOT of busy!:goodvibes Hey - as long as everybody is O.K., the trees & other damage can be dealt with.

Losing weight has not been very successful, I have not gained anything, but for some reason even with all the heavy logging and still getting my walks in I am unable to budge.:sad1: Hopefully, I can get back on track and break this plato.

No gain is a GOOD thing! :thumbsup2 You'll be back, we know you will! :goodvibes

I've had yet another crazy day. Up and out early - DD12 was on TWO radio stations this morning - live in the studio - :mic: to promote our upcoming 4H Fair. At 12, she is the publicity chair for the entire County  Working on a tv interview for the beginning of August. :happytv: Lots of newspaper interviews, photos, stuff like that. Between that and a HOUSE FULL of teenage boys today (can you say GROCERY BILL??? :scared: ) I'm straight out today!

Looked last night, could NOT find a picture of me that I wanted to post....:confused3 ....apparently I don't POSE for pictures, I TAKE them all! I know I'm probably being a bit vain here, but I get my hair cut and colored on Friday - I'll take a pic this weekend and see if I can't get it out there for all of you to see (finally).....feel like I've been in hiding here..

Steph -

I just went and looked at that house - LOVE IT!

Sometimes I wish I could move. Real Estate prices around here are just thru the roof. We're in an awkward place though. At this point in my life, I would not consider moving until all my kids are out of school (high school that is. College is a completely different story). But we also have so much family around us - on both sides- and I have to say for the most part it's FABULOUS. (there are members of MY family however, we wouldn't mind so much having a bit of separation from.. ) Both DH and I grew up in this town (on the same STREET no less!) and it's grown and changed so much since we were kids. It's still considered a "small" town for our area (population roughly 10,000) but it's gotten a bit "snooty" for our tastes- and croweded.

<sigh>

maybe if I can figure this whole photo thing out I can show you my corner of the world as well....:confused3

Oh get a photobucket or I think it is a flikr (??) account very easy to do. I use photobucket I have a ton of pics on there! They are all free and very easy to upload pictures to.

This is where I am at this week...I pulled the description from their on-line brochure...It is called the USA Cup:

The greatest international youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere. 2007 showcased more than 1,000 teams and 15,000 soccer players from 25 states and 21 countries. See the 2007 registered teams list for Schwan's USA CUP Weekend and Schwan's USA CUP.

More than 500 world-class referees from 22 countries and 25 states. Referee Info
Elite amateur soccer complex. All games are played at the National Sports Center, certified by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest soccer complex on earth.
National Sports Center Facility

So picture me and 5000 Brazillian, Columbian, Mexican, Chinese, Scottish, Swedish, English, Danish, and a smattering of others..all driving to the same place...and you get the mess up in Blaine, Minnesota.

We stayed at a hotel last night because Treyner's good friend was in from Michigan to be a guest player for Treyner and he and his mom asked us to stay for a night in the same hotel..Treyner will stay there tom as well because it is an early game on Thursday...and traffic means no guarantees with an hour drive.

Last year his team won the tournament in his age bracket and league (top). A bunch of scouts there today...

We ate b-fast at the hotel - huge fruit plate, small bowl of cottage chhese and a few pieces of bacon - no carbs like pancakes...then drank a lot of water...walked all over...and came home...knew nothing was ready..and got a whole broasted rosemary chicken...and potato salad for he kids...it was no less expensive than a run through of MCD's but sooo much tastier...(Carsyn and Baylor had practice within 30 minutes of being home so no time to cook)

I hope weigh in goes good on Thursday...I made good choices but no looking at points...need to keep getting better at that...

Carsyn and I are hitting the YmCA next week - I need to get to Dr - Tom is not here and I do not feel well...

Hi to Food Lover - please tell us about yourself...

Sarah - happy B-day
Steph - LOOOOVE the house...
Liz and Lyz are morphed...I now believe in UFO's

EriKa - keeps kicking Martha Stewarts @ss...
Goof - steady eddy and losing betty...
Kat - new kitty without a name...we need to fix that...is it a girl or boy?

Mickey/Minney
Donald/Daisy
Goofy
Pluto - that would be funny

Let us know...

Hey to all I might have missed - and Jodi - I am proud of your determination!

STEPH--Love the house! And for that price! WOW! Like Nancy, I live in McSnootsville where housing prices are outrageous. So to have that house...fireplace, hardwood, a pool, and hello riverfront (!) for that price seems like a great deal to me.

Also, got your e-mail...will see what I can do (though it is not my field either).

JODI--Welcome back! You always have a place here with us...no matter what is going on in your life. Whether you are talking about weight loss or downed trees. Sorry you have had a rough go of it. Good for you for not gaining!

LIZ--YIKES! Sorry about the basement. Hope it wasn't too much of a mess to tackle (also hope it is cheap to fix!).

LYZ--got your PM. Replied. Still planning on walking tonight? Good. (I guess I AM a pusher! :rotfl: )

KAT--still thinking good thoughts for you with the Friday people.

DAWN--got your voicemail. We can talk tonight if you need to.

AS FOR ME...I had a different workout today. I ran to the gym, did my workout, then ran home. It was....weird. Don't know if it was a good way to workout or not. The run home was brutal. My legs were tired after the first half of the run and then the regular workout.

Good day with the kids.

But TOMORROW...now tomorrow I am excited about. I will get up and out early for swim practice, but then at 9:30 my parents are taking all 4 kids to Old Sturbridge for the whole day (Nancy and Steph will know the place). Plus, Jeff leaves for NC tomorrow morning at 4am. So that means I will be ALL ALONE from 9:30am - 8-ish pm. That has not happened since....well, since before I had kids. I am so unaccustomed to having "free" time that I don't know what to do. I don't have a plan yet. I just don't even know how to handle it.

Jeff will only be gone till Friday, so it is a quick trip.

I *should* get caught up on housework and job stuff, but that sounds like an awful way to spend the day. Suggestions?

Thanks I love the house too! It's much better on the pocketbook, too!
OH.... Old Sturbridge village I loved that place we used to do field trips there!

As for the email I went to staples and they have them all written out already! So I just need to fill in the blanks! Thanks!

As for something to do while you have NO KIDS .............................. hhhmm I can bet money on it you will exercise!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Steph - great house! I looked all around it! :thumbsup2

Nancy - thank you! :goodvibes

Erika - well, duh, you get on a train and meet me in NYC. Silly!

Kat, Lyz, E- I sent you some emails that make no sense, IM me re ADRs.

Paula - do you have you Dec plans set yet?

Jodi - WOW. I am so glad none of you are hurt! Yes post the pictures, and good luck with it all. Maybe things will settle down now?

Dawn - have fun...sounds like very good people watching!

The basement is drying. Thankfully I found the leak early, and we had little to nothing on the floor. Imagine if I hadn't gone down for those towels!

Hi again,

Sarah Happy Birthday, hope you had a wonderful day. :cheer2:

Man let me tell you all it is so hard to get back to eating and drinking the right stuff. Does anyone else have that problem? I hate it, my insides know I need to eat right and drink a lot of water, but my mind is telling me different. I am going to have to jump start my body all over. :scared:

Plus, living out of town I don't have to motivation to drive and go to the Y like I should and taking a walk on the gravel roads is so hot and dusty.

See I am complaining and making up excuses. I need some motivation.....

HELP PLEASE!!! tell me how good it is for me to get in shape...

I hear yah. You can only buy the empty lot around here for that price...:sad2:

AS FOR ME...I had a different workout today. I ran to the gym, did my workout, then ran home. It was....weird. Don't know if it was a good way to workout or not. The run home was brutal. My legs were tired after the first half of the run and then the regular workout.

I ran yesterday for the first time in ages. 40 minutes! My legs were like jelly last night  My poor body didn't know what to do!!! :confused3 The GOOD news is - my foot didn't bother me one BIT! :cool1:

But TOMORROW...now tomorrow I am excited about. Enjoy your day tomorrow Erika....home, alone. What a wonderful thing :dance3:

That is completely awesome. She must be quite a quite a little leader.

Get yourself gawgous and get on here. We've waited 7 months, we can wait a few more days.

E - I know just what you mean. Grandma's will watch the girls, but that usually means I'm also somewhere else. I'm rarely home all by myself. It's heaven. But I usually end up crapping the day away.

See I am complaining and making up excuses. I need some motivation.....

HELP PLEASE!!! tell me how good it is for me to get in shape...

Jodi - you must get moving. In 6 months, where do you want to be. In the same place? Do you want to be bigger and in worse health? Or do you want to have made some progress and be enjoying Christmas? That means making changes now. Today.

Hi All...

Busy night here on the boards....

Dawn - have fun at soccer camp / tourny.... good luck Treynor... go kick some butt...

Erika - ooooh... to have a whole day alone.... do whatever you want... who will be around to see... enjoy it, you deserve it

Liz - so happy that the flood wasn't that bad.... thank goodness for the towel run... my plans for the December Disney trip are pretty much set at this point. Fly in on Tuesday, 12/2 and fly home on Tuesday, 12/9. ADR's have been made and a rough itinerary developed, but a few things need to be added in - like when are the Body Board babes getting together....

Nancy - can't wait to see the photos...

Jodi - my heart goes out to you... here's hoping you all catch a break and no more hardship comes your way.... As for motivation try this one...
say to yourself "I want to work out and eat well because I deserve to live a healthy lifestyle. I deserve it because I am worth it!!!!" Keep repeating and start moving your feet... you will get there... I promise!!!!

Sarah - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! enjoy the birthday celebrations for as long as you can... we call it the birthday buffer zone in my family and it has been known to go for at least a week and as long as three depending on the situation...

Steph - I love the house... keeping my fingers crossed that it works out for you...

Kat - does kitty have a name yet??? I keep saying kitty like Boo did in Monster's Inc when she saw Sully....

Tonight is chore night for me... time to get my closet done so I can sleep in my bed again. The couch is just not that comfy anymore...

Off to get some work done, but I'll check in before I call it a night...
Paula

Lyz! Into the "tough love" tonight! You CAN do it Jodi. We know you can. And more importantly, YOU know you can. So many things in our lives are beyond our control. No more excuses...Grab ahold of something you CAN control and start to make small, but very important changes in your life. You'll feel so much better.

You know what they say about excuses. They are like armpits. Everyone has 'em, and they all STINK. And if you think yours don't, you are WRONG!

I keep saying kitty like Boo did in Monster's Inc when she saw Sully....

I know of what you speak. We are BIG Monster's Inc fans. Espically, Maddi. She LOVES that movie. She could watch it 3 times a day and recites whole segments. That is an excellent movie.

"Hey Mr. Sullivan"

"Hey guys. I told you to call me Sully."

"uh, ok, Sully."

Rise and Shine, Body Board Babes! :goodvibes

(Oh yeah, I am going to be this annoying in December, too! :rotfl2: )

Think of one thing you can change today that will help you toward your overall goal.

Me? I recently realized that I have slacked on my water. I stopped tracking it a while back because it really had become a habit. I was drinking like 80+ ozs. per day, so I didn't think I had to measure it out all day long, etc. Well, thinking back on the past 2-3 weeks, I am not sure I have even done 64ozs. on some days. And with all of the working out I do, I sweat a ton. And while I drink water a lot at the gym, I kind of slack off from there for the rest of the day. So, I am going to get back on the water bandwagon today.

Commit to YOU.

If you wake me up at 7:17am in Dec you will no longer be my new BFF. ;)

I am tired and my throat hurts. Sad me. Let us hope the gods of weight loss are good to me today because the thought of all that work - tracking, exercise, and nothing makes me want to stamp my feet.

Ah, tea is ready. Going to have tea.
