Just back from Easton, PA. The Crayola Factory was fun - they do show you crayons being made but it's basically room after room of crafts for kids. Emily loved it. Nick and I found it tedious after a while, but I think if you're a super crafty parent you wouldn't. We're just not the type that enjoys that kind of intensive kid stuff, kwim? Things that are only for kids. It's one of those things worth doing for kids but that parents only do because they love their kids. Attached is the National Canal Museum, which was small and doable, after 3 hours of crafts. (Yes, 3 hours. Now the tedious part makes sense, right?) They have a FANTASTIC little canal set up, kids take boats and learn how to move the wickets and gates and get their boats through the canal. Super cool.
Then, we didn't want to drive home in rush hour, so we headed to the Phillies
AAA stadium in Allentown. The team is called the IronPigs and the stadium is brand new - opened this March. Very nice stadium, we got great seats - 1st base, five rows back. But the funny thing is there are pigs/hogs on everything. And there are people wearing pig noses and pig shirts and it's just a little hilarious. I did not buy a pig nose - I think the popcorn I ate and the way I ate it pretty much said it for me!
