In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

I just saw this quote somewhere else and thought it was perfect for our little group here!

I'm a work in progress: not quite where I want to be yet,
but thanking the stars everyday that I'm not where I used to be!

Hope ya'll are enjoying your weekend (and really hoping that Erika is having better wheather in Maine than we are here in CT!)

Hey gang! Another good food day for me.

Today was my third day of learning to run - I am not quite up to the level of C25K, but I am getting there. Jogged for 4 minutes, 45 seconds, total, up from 2 minutes, 30 seconds on my first day. Little by little...maybe one day I will do more than a minute in a row!

In a big surprise, Nick came with me to the gym today and decided to join! He said is is going to "run" with me on the weekends, so of course I made him go to the running store and get proper shoes. He didn't even have shorts to wear to the gym, so of to Target we went. Now he's outfitted and I'm trying to get him to come to spin tomorrow. We'll see. Maybe we'll become one of those fit, active couples. :lmao:

And, I dyed my hair and got it cut again. Every few months I get tired of my real red color and go dramatic. Well, it was so dramatic, they had to tone it down twice! Here's the pic:

A little short, a lot red, but it does have these very subtle blonde streaks. Whee! Fun hair!

And how are all of you?

Hey, Nancy - like the quote!!!

And yes, the weather this weekend is yucky. I want it to stop raining so I can go to the beach!

I am not posting because I am living in shame right now. I literally at EVERYTHING today. I am disgusted with myself. I had done pretty good for the last week and just decided to throw it all away.

GawGous Baby! Your hair is gawgous!

Thank you, doll. I bought the shirt when we were there in March - it's a Disney size XL. I hate how they size so small! But, hey, I have this great green shirt with a pink Mickey that's too big on me - it's really an XL in the rest of the world, but a Disney XXL, I think. Anyone want it?

We all do that. Promise. Don't let one bad day put you off course! You can get back on track tonight! You can do it!

LOVE the hair color! I get mine done soon - wish I could go "totally red", but I just do the highlights...;) Unfortunately totally red just isn't quite right for me... :sad2:

I'll take It! Anything with PINK I will take!!! as I sit here in my PINK PJ bottoms.

Like Liz said don't let one day get you down...one week I gained three pounds and Look at me now I have lost 25. you can do it LYZ!! I had an off day yesterday I ate 40 points! But I said it was a holiday and I had the extra points! You have to take each day anew and start each day on a positive.

I didn't think red was going to be me either but I love it unfortunately it keeps going to a blonder shade of red after 3 weeks and I can't afford to go every three weeks to get it re-colored! I had mine done too! I will post pics in a few

So here is my new hair color and cut! I didn't go as dark this time I thought it made me look to GOTH!

Steph - VERY CUTE!!!! I like it!

Nancy - not one, but two bottles! And there are more above the phone book over my shoulder! It's a bookshelf/wine rack attached to my kitchen cabinet.

Good Morning Ladies!
I hope everyone has a great day... I plan on not eating more than my points today! Extra points or not! I am not eating them. I have gained 1.2 pound over the weekend so I am NOT doing it.

What's in store for everyone today?
I am going to clean up my mess from the weekend here in the house. Do some laundry :laundy: and wash my car. Then tonight we will head over to the next town and watch their parade of tractors and old cars. (The parades up here consist of old tractors and old cars with old people in them.) Then we will walk with the masses to the park and watch the fireworks. My kids are becoming fireworks and ride snobs :snooty: since our Disney trip! They always go "this is it??"
So I hope everyone has a great day ... and enjoy the last of the HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

HEY!

I am back home today, thankfully! We had a great time on the boat...saw the fireworks with a perfect view right from the water. Kids loved it. We did not have Nancy and Liz's weather issues....absolutely PERFECT weather for 4 days in a row now. Bright and sunny with no humidity. Perfect.

LIZ--loving the hair! Very fun! Good length for you. The t-shirt is super flattering on your new skinny self. (And I noticed both the t AND the wine! :rotfl2: Not sure what that says about me!)

GREAT job with the running (and with the clavicles! That had me ROARING!) AMAZING that you are influencing Nick! That is awesome! And good job making the running shoe store your first stop! You have learned well, young grasshopper! :lmao:

Yes, Jeff and I have turned into one of "those" couples. We plan our week-ends around our runs, etc. (Like he is running now, then when he gets back he will cook breakfast while I run...and it will be ready when I get back, etc. Later today we are going biking together.) Ok, so it will be more of a brunch today...we are all exhausted and 2 of the kids are still asleep!

LYZ--it is totally ok...you can and will get back on it. I am starting fresh again today as well. Focus on the fact that you did well for A WEEK! That is great!

With all of these week-ends away, I have been off program more than on.

My new challenge is to learn to stay ON program when I am away like that. It does no good to be on for 3 or 4 days then off for the next 3 or 4. I have to stop with the excuses of "it's a holiday..." or "well, we are away on vacation this week...." and so on. Just because it is summer does not mean I can gorge every day and have it not "count". My a$$ knows that it counts!

STEPH--cute hair for you as well! And thanks for Zac's pic! Cute!

KAT--hope you are having fun in the Burgh.

DAWN
--great pics of Trey. That is how they do senior pics here as well. I like both of the B&W ones.

NANCY--what is up with the weather there? Are you having a good week without the kids?

So, we got off the boat yesterday evening, threw our gear in the mudroom, dumped the kids with my parents and ran off to see a concert. It was a REALLY good show (Assembly of Dust, Liz...you would like them. Great jam band and I love their lyrics.) It was an outdoor show and the weather was perfect for the evening. We were up very close and had a great time. We felt like grown-ups and not just parents, you know?

But now we have to pay! OMG, the house is a major disaster. We have had 3 weeks of tearing around the house packing like crazy, coming home and doing laundry, then just re-packing and taking off again...only to come back and dump it all out again. The lawn is a wreck, the house is filthy and there is dust everywhere! So that is my plan for the day...run, clean this house, bike, and then get to the pool for a quick dip in the late afternoon. Kids are just going to have to deal. They have had tons of special activities in the last few weeks. Today we just say to go outside and play.

Hi guys, still unpacking this morning, but i'm planning on catching up tonight b/c Bruce has to work. I sent out the email for my wedding photos to all who asked (except you Liz! you forgot to put your email address in the pm!) Please let me know if you didn't get it, would like it, etc.

My mother did send me a few pictures, not the greatest, but i was told under harsh penalty that i needed to post some, so here are a few!

That's a good plan. I have been in my points the last two days - Thursday was my only splurge day. I have dinner out tonight, though, so I may use my weekly. I am purposely not using my AP (activity points). Let's see how it goes. I have been making good choices and exercising, so I fully expect to lose. No, I demand to lose! :rotfl:

Funny about your kids being spoiled by Disney - they do make normal fireworks look lame! Take a picture of the old people and cars and tractors, okay? It sounds like great people watching.

Thanks re the hair - and send my a CD of the band! I like new bands. And I LOVE that feeling of being an adult, a person, and not just a parent. It's why I go on girls trips, why we go see live music. I need it to be me - it feeds my soul and my self.

As for the tracking, that is the hurdle we all have to get over, but when we do it's lifestyle. And that's awesome.

More to come later, have a good sunday!!!

OMG, so pretty! I love the teal sash!!!! You are totally a princess! I will pm you my email right now - I forgot it!

First - Stacey - bride - beautiful. Loving the blue sash also. (apparently you don't have any evil stepsisters.) And the tiara. And Bruce looks like a cutie. I can't wait to see the other pics. I pm'd you. I had forgotten.

Steph - loving the cut. It looks good. I don't know about watching old people in old cars though?:rotfl:

EriKa - glad your back and had a good time. Sounds like you and J are still clicking. I can't believe you let your house get that dirty!

And thanks for the update on Kim. I was wondering also. Glad you got word. Although it doesn't sound good.

Nancy - what DOES that say about you? Hmmmm. (did you get my pm?)

Liz - I can't believe Nick came to the gym!

All for now. I am calculating hog info. Molli has her swing skillathon on Saturday, so we will be cramming. Skillathon is a quiz. She has to know parts, breeds, uses and a book of expenses, weights and so forth has to be complete. All kinds of fun stuff.

Hot here in "OH" "IO".

Thanks on the hair! Yeah old cars and people It should be great!:lmao: can you tell I am so excited to see it! Sometimes they have bag pipers, too unfortunately they never play where we sit. We have sat on the same street corner for years! We used to park a car there in the early hours of the morning just to save it , now we just over take it! To bad for who ever wants to sit there! When there are 12 kids and at least 6 adults people tend to move AWAY from us!

How's their weight doing is it going up did you use the corn meal or what ever it was Dh suggested? Are they going to be BIG enough!

So for me today I didn't do laundry! But I did wash my car! Have you seen my car! It's HUGE! an expedition! I washed and shammy. Then moved to the inside.... I crumba! I washed all the dirt and grime from the kids off! The only thing I couldn't get to come off was the RED KOOL AID mix that the boys dumped all over the back seat! I even tried carpet cleaner but since it has been there for months IT AIN"T LEAVING! Then I even washed Stephen's Cub cadet! Then I took a few minutes of the peace and quiet and laid out in the sun! So that is 4 cars in 2 days! My arms are sore!
I will take some pictures of the parade, you can see the old people in the old cars!:rotfl2: I am also a nice shade of pink!

Just checking in. Great day...great long week-end. Super fun family time and yes, Lyz, J and I are doing very well. It is a bit eerie, actually! :lmao:

So I am totally looking forward to this week. The kids have Vacation Bible School this week. That means that all 3 of them are gone from M-F from 8 - noon. And it is FREE. This is huge.

I am one of the few moms I know who actually loves summer because the kids are home and I get to hang with them and do stuff, etc. But I still need a bit of a break once in a while. My house, for starters, needs some of that attention. I got through quite a bit today, but it is still not where it should be.

Plus, I feel like I owe my mom a break. She has been watching the kids while I work out (which means that she has been watching the kids a lot! :lmao: )

Ok, now I have to spend the rest of the evening getting caught up with work. :scared1: After being offline for 4 days, it is not going to be pretty....

Kat, did you guys leave?

I wound up going alone, D caught my disease on Wed and was in no shape to go anywhere. I drove up Friday, left at 8AM and got there around 4:15. It usually takes about 7.5 hours but there was an accident and then a bad rainstorm.

Friday was a family party at my moms, Sat was a bunch of shopping and then a grad party for someone I vaguely knew, well, I knew her parents anyhow, and then Sun I went to church w/ the 'rents and then drove home, got here around 11PM.

I wasn't the best on food but it could have been worse, I guess.

However, when I went shopping with my mom (YAY for no sales tax on clothes in PA!) and I was fitting in 10s with no problem!

I got a TON of stuff... 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of khakis, 3 pairs of dress pants, 1 little black dress, 3 nice work tops, 3 bikinis, 3 bra/panty sets (yes that size has changed too!), dress shoes, 3 pairs of sunglasses, and 4 t-shirts for working out, for $130. There is a store in PA that has a lot of factory 2nds and such... a lot of it was Ann Taylor Loft, some was NY&co, etc.

I skimmed through all of the posts... Liz and Steph, love the hair!! Erika, glad you had a good time.

I think it might be bedtime for me soon...
