In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

You know me and Mondays, everyone! :goodvibes Wake up and let's start the week!

I am getting my kids ready for church camp now, then I will head out for my long run (another 8 miler today...yikes! Even though I have done a few of them now, they still scare the beejeebers out of me! :lmao: ), and then I am going to just crash on my couch and read a novel for a while! Really! Even though I should either finish cleaning my house or finish getting caught up with work, I am going to enjoy the silence for a while instead.

So I took Pictures of the Old people in old cars and the tractors. There are a few other shots of the FIRE TRUCKS!! Doesn't that sound so fun!!:lmao:
Here is the dessert that I made for Fridays BBQ!

Those are great pictures!!!! I love the tractors and the fake nuns and the kids with the steel drum! And the old guy in the car! And your kids! And you - I can totally see the weight loss. You look great!

I am skipping my two hour gym day. I am just too tired. Plus, I did spin yesterday, and will run tomorrow. That means no weights, but whatever. I'll do weight tomorrow.

I did really well last night, out to dinner with the girls. Nick and Emily were at Mets/Phillies, and I went out with my mommy friends and my friend's sister and best friend. I made myself a driver, so I only had one glass of wine, and I had the shrimp cocktail, salad, and tilapia. No dessert.

So, I am off to the Crayola Factory with Nick and Emily. Catch you all later! Back to real life tomorrow.

Hi Everyone....

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend... I finally got caught up on everything and am loving the new hair do's, our bride looked amazing at her wedding, Dawn's little boy is growing into a handsome young man, Steph watched a pretty cool parade, Kat shopped her heart out (great bargains girl...), Erika is going to enjoy some quiet time today and Jodi sold the house (whoo - hoo!!!).... Not a bad couple of days....

I am back at work after a restful weekend at camp. I did a whole lot of nothing and even managed to stay reasonably close to my eating plan for the weekend. I did take the dog on a few walks so that we could both get some exercise and I headed to the driving range to get some swing time in (did horribly, but that just means more swing time is necessary). My dad's family came up for a visit on Sunday to celebrate his birthday so that was fun. I love that they all plant these huge gardens and spend the summer giving away the veggies. I am a happy recipient of the fresh lettuces and zucchinis that are out now. In another month, there will be tomatoes aplenty. Can't wait...

I am excited because I am going to try a new exercise class this week. It is called Functional Stregth and is billed as a mix of cardio dance moves, callisthenic drills and yoga postures. I have no idea what to expect, but it is worth shot right. Worst case I laugh my a.. off and even that will burn some calories... right... That class is on Thursday nights and the following week, I want to do that one and add in one of the chisel classes which is more weight training, but with some cardio to get the heart rate going. I am going to see if these work for me, otherwise I may be forced to try a few other classes that are only offered at 5:30AM :scared1: and I am so not a morning person....

I have my weigh in tonight and I feel pretty good about it. I'll post the results later tonight as usual.

Talk to you later,
Paula

Um...I think the nuns might be real. Not sure.

Steph, the pictures are good. I liked the glow stick pics too. And the dessert, YUM. (do I really have to say it?)

Kat, $130 for all that loot! My goodness you hit the jackpot. And perfect sizes too. Glad you had a safe trip.

EriKa, I lounged alot yesterday and read a book. The house needed TLC when I went to bed last night. So I did that this morning.

Liz, the CRAYOLA factory!!!! Ohhh that sounds amazing. I can still remember when they went on the tour, either with Mr. Rogers or Seasame Street, but I was mesmerized by the orange crayon in progress. FUN!

Paula, (just read your post) sounds like a relazing weekend. And heck yeah to the fresh produce. I am really getting into squash. I've been roasting with and onion with little olive oil and s/p. Mmmmm....so good.

I'm off to a good start this monday morning. Cross your fingers for me.

Love the pics Steph!!

I was excited this morning, even after a weekend of moderate excess, to see... 160.2!! Almost, almost in the 150s....

E/L, I promise to read all the ADR emails and respond today. I am still catching up from a weekend of no internet.

I am wearing new pants today. I like new pants. I like new anything. I think I might go buzz by Target at lunch...

Um...I think the nuns might be real. Not sure.
UMMM NO The Swinging Sisters are far from being NUNS! THEY ARE VERY FAR OFF!
Steph, the pictures are good. I liked the glow stick pics too. And the dessert, YUM. (do I really have to say it?)

Ok OK you twisted my arm!!!!

Berry Patch Brownie Pizza

Most of my desserts are from Pampered Chef cookbooks

1 pkg brownie mix and all ingredients to make.

Preheat oven to 375`. Line a 15" baking stone with parchment paper.(do not bake with out it or brownie will go over the edge) Make brownie according to directions and pour on center of parchment paper and spread to the sides. bake for 17 - 20 mins DO NOT OVER COOK!! When done cool completely!

Topping!!

1 pkg 8oz cream cheese softened ... I used 1/3 less fat
1 TBSP of sugar
1/2 tsp on vanilla
2 cups of thawed cool whip.... I used cool whip free
1 pint of fresh strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 CUP RASPBERRIES ( I DID NOT USE THESE)
1 TBSP of grated vanilla Chips (optional)

Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla mix until well blended. Fold in whipped topping.. Us food chopper to dice up 1/2 cup strawberries and fold into the cream cheese whipped topping. Spread onto the cool brownie. Slice remaining strawberries arrange over the topping and add blue berries. I added the left over whipped topping around the edging. Grate vanilla chips over top. Cut with pizza cutter and serve!

yeilds : 16 WW points 7 approximately 330 calories and 20g of fat per serving.

ENJOY!!!:cutie:

Nancy - what DOES that say about you? Hmmmm. (did you get my pm?)

I did - and I just PM'd you back....I feel your pain :scared:

All for now. I am calculating hog info. Molli has her swing skillathon on Saturday, so we will be cramming. Skillathon is a quiz. She has to know parts, breeds, uses and a book of expenses, weights and so forth has to be complete. All kinds of fun stuff.

I get to do that with GOATS. Holy cow - the stuff that we learn! Diseases, treatments...so complex! But...if you have a sick goat, it all comes in handy! ;) I'm actually headed out to wash & "clip" (think buzz cut for goats...)...yeah, humid day, hair flyin', sticks to everything you don't want it to stick to!! :crazy2:

My mother did send me a few pictures, not the greatest, but i was told under harsh penalty that i needed to post some, so here are a few!

Very pretty pictures! Thanks for sharing them!! :goodvibes

I was excited this morning, even after a weekend of moderate excess, to see... 160.2!! Almost, almost in the 150s....

:cool1: :cool1:

I am wearing new pants today. I like new pants. I like new anything. I think I might go buzz by Target at lunch...

:rotfl2: I like new things too....went to LLBean today (have a store about 40 minutes from my house)....didn't INTEND to buy anything...it just HAPPENED..:confused3

I went back to the gym again today. I need to do more weight lifting. The biking has been great, but I'm stuck in a rut here - I KNOW it's because my strength workouts have been basically non-existant for the past 2 months. Time to turn that trend around....

:flower3: I am still alive...

and I miss you guys!! :grouphug:

Erika PM'ed me last week and I thought I would stop by to say "hello". I can't tell you how much I have missed this thread. Due to some recent drama in my life I have been unable to post. I have not, and do not want to bring down the thread. I have read back on all the happenings since last week and am cheering everyone on. For the sake of my sanity, I am getting back on track with my diet and exercise program. Hopefully, life will return to normal by the end of this week and Iwill be able to post regularly again.

Please know I am thinking of you all. Erika, thank you for checking on me.

All my best,
Kim

Kim - good to hear from you. Don't worry about bringing us down. If you need to talk, we are here. Anyway, hope you get back to being able to post, if anything for a little comic relief.

Hey! Just checking in! Great pics, Stace! And glad to see you back here, Kim! This thread is more than just weight loss and fitness...we let it all hang out here, so if you need to vent, go right ahead!

Time for tennis.

And Nancy! Trimming the goats in this weather??!?!? :scared1:

Hi All -

Dan's mom and girls were here for the weekend and it was sooo much fun. We went to a river on the 4th - 4 hours of sun and swim and floating in innertubes, fireworks that night and then on Sat went to an amusement park all day. All our kids got along very well together - it is neat to see them laughing and joking and watch them interact.

Serious side note - I have been bleeding for over 2 weeks now when I go to the bathroom - went to the ER last wek when a pregnancy test was a negative and here is what I do know...

I have no infection (no white cells in urine/only red) and they do not see stones...so cancer and tumors/cysts may be the culprit. My grandmother died of kidney cancer...so I am going to be busy with a but load of appointments over the next 2 weeks. (As Dan would say that is 2 sh!tloads):lmao:

Not sure how to feel...we knew that a pregnacy was not the ultimate in timing...but I think that this has confirmed he will get a vasectomy reversal - I know he regrets getting one...he says he never knew he would find me or he never would have in the first place (isn't that SWEET!) and then we can see how things go..maybe we will go the invitro route and try for twins...Aunt Kat...yooo hoooo...wannna babysit!:rotfl:

BTW....Dan and I have an appointment to get matching tattoos. I want him forever linked with me and vice versa - we have talked about this for a long time and he wants ...my name in a special place...love that... he is so very thoughtful...he said he missed me too much not to have a piece of me with him forever when he is gone...

he hates his traveling job...he always missed his kids...just like he does now...but it's funny what you think at first you like because of your life situation...and then something can change and what you were once gratefull for is now a burdon...

Anyway...enough mushy...

Started WW today with food in the house...excited to see the scale on Thursday...

Great wedding photos/4th photos and hot mama photos..Steph and Liz - love the hair...sooo cute...

Hi Everyone...

Well, its been an interesting night so far.... Went to my JC appointment and lost 3.5 pounds!!!!! I am so freakin excited I can't stand it... I am on my way...

Went to the grocery store to stock up on some healthy fruits and veggies, got home and no power.... Apparantly, some yahoo in the next town over decided to cut down a tree and land it in the power lines.... What a genius that guy is. At last report, over 5000 people were out of power thanks to this guy's bozo move...

Anyways - we are back up and running now and I am off to begin cleaning all the yummy home grown veggies my uncle gave me so I can make my salad for tomorrow.

Have a great night everyone...
Paula

PS - Dawn, my phone is acting screwy and cut us off. I left a message on your cell as well... You can call or PM me so we can continue our conversation... I'll be up until about 11:30 my time... Ciao'

PAULA! What a great loss! Way to go! I am SO SO SO happy for you! Hopefully this will be the motivation you need to keep going! Let's get you to that next 10 pound loss! WOO HOO!

Dawn-sorry to hear about the hematuria. However, I hope your doc mentioned that 99% of all cases of hematuria are absolutely nothing. No reason to get worried at this point. It is totally common and almost always nothing. Good luck.

Dawn, I hope everything turns out okay on the health front. Glad that you and Dan had such a good 4th and that everything is going well there.

PAULA!!! 3.5 POUNDS!!! So awesome. I am SO happy for you!! :cool1:

Kim, glad to see you!!

I went and played hockey tonight... man, taking a week off from exercise hurts! I was barely able to play tonight, though, I still have a cough and had to continually blow my nose during the game.

Also, I am having a bit of an eating everything in sight problem today. I did pretty good during the day but I may hit 1500 cals or so by the end.

Oh, and another trip to Charlotte is in the works for me...

Dawn - Like Erika, I am hoping it is nothing! Tell us more about the tattoo. What would you get?

Dan - nice to see you!!!! I'm so glad you guys had a good time. :goodvibes

Kim - Oh, good to hear from you. Don't hesitate to unload here if you need to!

Kat - I'm impressed with yuor clothes shopping! Whoo-whee! Fun!

Paula - The best for last! WAY to lose girl!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I am so super impressed by you! You have totally refocused and that is SUCH an inspiration for all of us! Goddess crown! :worship:

Just back from Easton, PA. The Crayola Factory was fun - they do show you crayons being made but it's basically room after room of crafts for kids. Emily loved it. Nick and I found it tedious after a while, but I think if you're a super crafty parent you wouldn't. We're just not the type that enjoys that kind of intensive kid stuff, kwim? Things that are only for kids. It's one of those things worth doing for kids but that parents only do because they love their kids. Attached is the National Canal Museum, which was small and doable, after 3 hours of crafts. (Yes, 3 hours. Now the tedious part makes sense, right?) They have a FANTASTIC little canal set up, kids take boats and learn how to move the wickets and gates and get their boats through the canal. Super cool.

Then, we didn't want to drive home in rush hour, so we headed to the Phillies AAA stadium in Allentown. The team is called the IronPigs and the stadium is brand new - opened this March. Very nice stadium, we got great seats - 1st base, five rows back. But the funny thing is there are pigs/hogs on everything. And there are people wearing pig noses and pig shirts and it's just a little hilarious. I did not buy a pig nose - I think the popcorn I ate and the way I ate it pretty much said it for me! :rotfl:

Thank you.

They look like old women. Who exactly are the swinging sisters? Is it what I'm thinking?
Swinging sisters come and lips synch to msuic!
