In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Oh, nice. New undies! I want to wait till goal and buy matching sets. That's my dream. Matching sets. Sad, no?

Sounds like you and Dawn have one of the same goal prize.

Mine is to wear scarves. They'll probably be out of style when I am small enough to wear. Oh and my skinny tennies. Can't forget them.

And, yes, guilty of the matchy matchy bra and undies. Victorias Secret is my friend (or is that DH's friend????) I will, however state that I have 3 pairs of matchy undies per bra just in case and in different styles for different occasions. TMI??? Yep, TMI....:rolleyes1

I think I should hit the lurker button again.......popcorn::

I don't wear different styles. Same. Boring I know, but I can't confuse the girls. Are we in or are we out?

I have seriously got to quit DISsing. I have done NOTHING today. See you later.

Dawn - Hi Lar Ious stories!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!

Glad I can make ya giggle...
Yes, I am a lush. Hey, I'm good at it!

We aint no stinkin quitters...we are champs in all arenas...:lmao:
Lyz and Dawn - no all my sets don't match up. But I do have a hierarchy of undies - the good ones, the okay ones, the ones I don't like and only wear for TOM or as spares. Doesn't anyone else have this? That in an ideal world would be grand...right now I am in a 3 kids suckin the life outta me kinda world...where they need sports clothes...jock straps etc...so if it comes down to me and new undies or never having grandkids cause the boys don't have protection for their boys...I loose every time...someday...someday...

Come on! I can't be the only one! So I pick out the good ones, match 'em up with bras for vacay, and pack that way. I like the matchy matchy. Not that anyone sees them but me.

Wow, it's really "let my freak flag fly" day, isn't it?
Your flag isn't a rainbow with a unicorn is it???

:rotfl: Listen to how this sounds, "and the ones I only wear for Tom."

I am really amused today.

No, I recently purged my underwear and purchased all newbies. Thanks to the nifty stimilus rebate from the government. Thanks W.
Bush gave you money for new undies for your bu.....I mean er um.... shrubbery...:lmao:
Oh, nice. New undies! I want to wait till goal and buy matching sets. That's my dream. Matching sets. Sad, no?

No...it is awesome...I think we should sned gift certificates to each other when we hit goal for new underroos...ohhh Dannnn...start working out...the girls wanna give you something...:lmao:

Dawn: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I have never done anything like that before....:sad2: Okay, I once put my daughters free standing basketball hoop up backward and stood there looking at it and wondering WTH was wrong with the picture. In my defense, I was about 8 months pregnant and it had to be about 100 degrees that day but she HAD to have it. My DH came up the driveway like this...:sad2:
That was how Treyner looked at me too...like...I expectd to have to look for a home for my mom in her 60's... not now...

No..don't gooo...
Sounds like you and Dawn have one of the same goal prize.
We are the world...we are the matchers...we like everything to fit comfy and look right...
Mine is to wear scarves. They'll probably be out of style when I am small enough to wear. Oh and my skinny tennies. Can't forget them.
T
I don't wear different styles. Same. Boring I know, but I can't confuse the girls. Are we in or are we out?
She said she has 3 different undies per bra...I did not know that you called your bellow parts "girls" :confused3 I have heard it refrenced as left or right sister though!!!:rotfl2:
I have seriously got to quit DISsing. I have done NOTHING today. See you later.
Well quit slackin...maybe f you did not have to worry about naming your Vajayjay....just sayin...

Holy cow you guys are on fire today! Ok, gonna go back for a proper post! But I am here!

Quick checkin from BWV...

Erika, all of your/our ressies went swimmingly fine. Thanks again. :)

Anytime, girlfriend! Glad everything was smooth! But now it is time to check in again, k??

However, Narcoossee's kicks complete booty. SO worth a double table service!! We also got to see Wishes between dinner and dessert, which imo is as good if not better from seeing them in the park. Something to be said for meandering out on a nice, uncrowded veranda, watching them there, and going back in to enjoy dessert!

CANNOT WAIT till we go in Dec. LIZ--what day are we doing Narcoossee's again?

Um, I checked out aim. Seems like no one is there. Include me in the PM details. Por favor.

I am usually on, but often invisible (if I am in a meeting or conference or something). So just IM me anyway and if I am on, I will respond back.

They need to make their own beds. Mine hate making beds and I am a stickler about that. So they now sleep on top of the blankets.:thumbsup2 And strangely enough, I'm ok with that. As long as the beds look nice. (my ocd is a strong b*$ch)

They mostly do make their own beds. But then I have to go in and do it my way. Shocker, eh?

I have eaten my way thru the weekend. Bob is home and today is actually his 31st birthday, and I've been cooking and baking like crazy. Since he's been eating out for 2 weeks, I have been "homecooking". We are having a good time. Abscence really does help.

Glad things are good. Now stop eating crap! :lmao: Seriously, sounds like we have ALL been off the wagon recently. My last week was bad as well. I mean really, how long has it been since any of us got a goddess crown???

EriKa - you're crying? There's no crying in back to school! Man up! (really, I think it's sweet the "in control" professor is wheepy to send her kiddo's off to school.) I'm suprised they ride a bus. I just assumed your town was a "drop you children off" town.

Ok, gonna put mine on the bus:banana:   and get on the dreadmill. Thank goodness for today.

Ok, truth is yes I cry like hell on the first day. And usually the night before too! I just think my kids are pretty cool little people and I dig hanging out with them. Plus, this year I watched all 3 of them go. As you know (and Steph, too) that is a major milestone.

But Kelly was super excited and got on the bus like a champ (never been on a school bus before). When I was at the school watching them get off the bus, Cammie made me cry all over again. (They never see me there watching them, btw.) She held Kelly's hand and walked her into the school and delivered her to her teacher and gave her a hug and told her she was proud of her. I melted.

As for the bus...I usually do drive them. Our town has buses, yes. But I find them evil and awful so I usually drive. But I make them take the bus both ways for the first 2 weeks of school. That way, on days when they "have" to take the bus, they are comfortable with it.

Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone has a great day. I am still checking in even though I don't have much time to post. I don't have time to post anywhere and I feel pretty bad about joining, dropping out, popping in and disappearing again. I hope you all know that I am still out there lurking along with you and supporting silently. Keep up all your great work!!!

No worries! We are thrilled to have you here. And we understand that you have a life other than the thread. We may not like it, be we understand it! :lmao:

We're 2 days out from our trip - I still - and won't - fit into the skirt I'd bought. It's red - where else will I wear it? But I'm back on the newly-repaired bike, and did 10 miles Sunday (2 rides) and 7 yesterday (again, 2 trips). Scale is not my friend right now.

WOO HOO for two days out! And some great rides! You rock! Will you be doing a live TR? Are you gonna hook up with Kat?

OMG DEB! You haven't packed? See, this is the sign of a normal person. I'm so impressed. I pack weeks in advance, in ziploc bags, and label them. No kidding. I didn't do that for the cruise and I was so impressed with myself. (I did the bags just not the labels. Progress!) I do this for all trips, but it was Disney that got me into it. But Vegas, Vancouver, etc, all labeled, with underwear and socks included. Call me crazy!

Are we surprised by this? Not even a little. :lmao:

So it seems I am up 7lbs. Whatev. It was a very very good week and half!

Easy come, easy go...right? Seriously, when you put it on that fast, you can take it off that fast. It hasn't gotten attached to you yet. Just don't sign the adoption papers and you will be all set. ;)

This thread moves fast! :scared1: Doing my best to get all caught up. Can I just tell you how much I  coming back to work after a long relaxing weekend!

Thanks for all the welcomes! Yes, I was a lurker!

I went back and reread my post from the other day..You all probably think I am some sort of major boozer!! Really, I'm not! I just enjoy my microbrews ( I am a total beer snob) and enjoy mixing my mojitos and sangria. The last time I dieted I gave up way too much of this stuff. I was not a happy camper. :sad2: I told myself this time I needed to find a way to still enjoy all of these things and accomplish my goals. When I do drink, I try to drink a bottle of water for every couple drinks I have.

No really, we find this to be a GOOD thing! We are beer snobs as well...but you know, we also love a good cosmo, a bottle of wine or three...whatever. We're not picky! :lmao:

Listen to this...remember Molli's bike was screwed up last week. And my sister and I fought it and fought it.

Well, hubby was in the office yesterday and I said, "Hey take a look at this. There is something wrong."

And before I could say anything else, he says, "Well the handlebars are all the way turned around, that's your first problem."

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TELLING YOU? My one and only problem is I am an idiot. The freaking handle bars were completely, 360 degrees, turned around. The cables were all bound up. That is why the bike wouldn't roll. And we took it out like that and didn't even realize it!

Of course, I found it hysterical. He was shocked at my lack of common sense (ok, alpha dog).

All for now. Reading all day for me.

Oh. My. God. HIL AR IOUS! Oh yeah, I am telling people about this one! :lmao:

What, Lyz, you don't match and plan out which socks and underwear to wear with which outfits? :lmao: Cause no joke, I TOTALLY do that. Loony-toons, I know.

I definitely do this. Not every day, but when I am actually getting dressed to go to work or out.

Amy, we like boozers. Exhibit A, here. EriKA, Exhibit B. Kat, on vacay, Exhibit C. Now if you like Vera Bradley, we're really talking! :rotfl:

Cripes. Can't she get through just ONE day without mentioning the V word?!!? :lmao:

EriKa, she called you "exhibit B" :rotfl: .

Hey! I resemble that remark! :lmao:

Dawn - Hi Lar Ious stories!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!

Ditto! Love me some funny!

Yes, I am a lush. Hey, I'm good at it!

Double Ditto!

Lyz and Dawn - no all my sets don't match up. But I do have a hierarchy of undies - the good ones, the okay ones, the ones I don't like and only wear for TOM or as spares. Doesn't anyone else have this? Come on! I can't be the only one! So I pick out the good ones, match 'em up with bras for vacay, and pack that way. I like the matchy matchy. Not that anyone sees them but me.

Wow, it's really "let my freak flag fly" day, isn't it?

OMG, I totally do this! And now I have more categories as well...gym underwear and running underwear. And once they have been gym underwear for a while, then they get demoted to TOM underwear. Right?

Believe it or not, I still have stuff to say!

As for family drama--sorry so many of you seem to be in that place! Remember that you have the family you were born into and the family you choose. If the first one blows, you hang with your family of choice.

Fortunately, this is one thing I cannot relate to. My parents are the best, truly. Supportive about everything I do. I have always said (and this was way before I was ever a runner) that if I said to them, "Mom, Dad...I have figured out what I want to do with my life. I want to run through the streets of town naked..." Their response would totally be, "Well then, we better go get you a good pair of shoes." :lovestruc Love them dearly.

As for running...I did a GREAT 5-miler this morning. I did it record time (for me) at an even 50 minutes. So that is 5 10-minute miles. (Stop rolling your eyes at me, Nancy! :lmao: ) I have accepted that I will never be a speed demon. I missed my long run last week, so I hope that is ok. I meet with my coach tomorrow and we will see what he says. My half marathon is in 19 days. I do not feel ready. At all. So, we'll see.

My goal for today (other than getting my kids on and off the bus in one piece) is to deal with this trip once and for all. Are we going in 3 weeks? Or am I gonna push it off till November? I will have the answer by the end of the day.

Ok, gotta go have tea with my mom. Keep the funny coming!

OMG - too freaking funny! It's a good thing it's lunch time and I've got my door closed - upside down coats, turned around handlebars, training bras...

Let me confess here that I finally broke down and bought new undies recently. Because I've been wearing some for quite a few lbs and that elastic/spandex stretches out. I'm not a matchy-matchy one, though. Too much work.

Disney in 2 day!!!  I would deal with the hannah banana to go to disney. You haven't packed.. Oh yeah you are pretty close! I was packed and re packed and packed again for a week!:rolleyes1
Great Job on the BIKE! I am hoping to start walking again when the kids hit school THURSDAY.. they are the only school going on Thursday everyone else starts tomorrow! WEIRD I tell Ya!

Nope, I am casual packing girl. For WDW, anyways. Last time, I even let Kaitlyn wear the outfit I'd packed for MK on AK day! And to wear her green dress instead of the 101 Dalmations outfit to Epcot! (Let me confess here - I make some of DD's clothes because (1) I like to, (2) it uses some of the billions of yards of fabric I have from when I used to have time to quilt, (3) she's freaking hard to buy clothes for since she's tall, long-waisted, and skinny/narrow. And I like it when she says I'm an Excellent Sewer! :lovestruc ) Back to topic: The beauty of the 4 hour commute, a half-dozen trips, and the long weekend is that I just throw everything in our one big suitcase, essentials into the little red bag, and off we go! The only ziplocs are in the in-park backpack.

So today I'll leave work at 5pm (I swear!), and while she's at dance with daddy I'll do a commando raid on her clothes so I can pack tonight. Because I have a haircut tomorrow night. Why is the commando raid necessary? Because Kaitlyn doesn't know we're going to Disney after school on Thursday! (We did this once before and told her we were going shopping...wonder if she's smarter now?)

AIM = AOL Instant Messaging. We all head over there for instant chatting. It's a way to "talk", uncensored, and privately. Whereas on the DIS it's slow, censored and open for public consumption.

Since summer, our AIM time has seriously taken a hit. And I miss alot of fun, cause I have to go to bed at a decent hour if I am gonna exercise in the morning. AIM usually takes place late and goes on for hours. It is serious fun.

If you download AIM to your computer and get a log in name (hint, they are all taken, think WAY outside the box) pm us with it. I don't personally post my AIM name here, cause if your not me, you are on a need to know basis.:rotfl:

I wanna AIM - and I think I have it figured it out. What's up with my clueless DH? We have 2 computers at our house (3, actually) plus my work laptop. His computer (hardwired into everything) and the girl's computer. When I ask why AIM won't work - "I don't know". When I get upset because the laptop he spec'd out continually forgets where the (wireless) printer is - "I don't know." Honey, we split stuff when we got married. You are IT guy! I am vacay planning gal! Know his solution? Take the old printer and hard-wire it to the laptop. Yup, because it's sooo portable then. (Sorry, vent over)

Back on the wagon! I'm tracking my food today! And chewing gum, yuck, because it will hopefully keep me away from the evil vending machine. (Trident Wild Blueberry Twist, if you're interested - it's sweet so it gives me the taste I want.)

Deb

YIPES! Away for a day, and look what happens! 5 pages to catch up on!

Nancy - is super busy. Committing to to many things. School drama outfits, goat shows and she has to work full time cause all the kids are going back to school and college. Her sil started a market and Nancy is selling goat milk soap there. Sold a BUNCH yesterday. (go Nancy) She still hasn't posted a pic and as far as I'm concerned, I think she's a man, pretending to be a farmers wife.

 Yes, I'm busy....and I KNOW I owe you a pic. I'll get to it...soon I hope...:rolleyes1

AMY! Welcome to this thread. Amy and I are teammates on Walt's Warriors, so I can vouch for her total coolness! :lmao: She definitely belongs at the popular table! And the fact that she will give up food before her booze just proves that she is already one of us!

Oh,yeah. She's "in". :drinking1

Ok, just came here to get myself together a bit before I put my kids on the bus. Yeah, I am a crying mess every year on the first day. And I follow the bus (not like right behind it or anythinig), but I have to see them get off the bus at the school, etc. I know, I know....

CRYING? FOLLOW THE BUS?? Are you KIDDING? I do the happy dance! :yay:

I went back and reread my post from the other day..You all probably think I am some sort of major boozer!! Really, I'm not! I just enjoy my microbrews ( I am a total beer snob) and enjoy mixing my mojitos and sangria.

It's ok Amy. We understand. Really. :rolleyes1

Since summer, our AIM time has seriously taken a hit. And I miss alot of fun, cause I have to go to bed at a decent hour if I am gonna exercise in the morning. AIM usually takes place late and goes on for hours. It is serious fun.

I gotta do that AIM thing too...miss out on SO much..:headache:

:lmao: At least you didn't take it in to the bike shop! :scared: :lmao:

I will never forget...a bra-wearing woman for over 15 years by then...schooled by a pre-teen boy observant of Playtex bra's!

:lmao: I read that as DS17 walked in from school. Choked on my Fresca...:rotfl2:

I am usually on, but often invisible

Ummm...is that like an IMAGINARY friend? :confused3

Glad things are good. Now stop eating crap! :lmao: Seriously, sounds like we have ALL been off the wagon recently. My last week was bad as well. I mean really, how long has it been since any of us got a goddess crown???

I've been bad for so long, it's scary :scared: Kids started school today, it's back on the wagon for me.

I'm lucky too - love ALL of my in-laws. My family, well, at least they're not demonic.

As for running...I did a GREAT 5-miler this morning. I did it record time (for me) at an even 50 minutes. So that is 5 10-minute miles. I'm not rolling my eyes. Actually, I was thinking how far you've come...:yay: As for not being ready - phooey. You ARE ready. If you were over confident I'd be worried about you!

So - day 1 of school....actually Erika, I almost cried myself. Today was my son's LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Having a senior in HS is such an emotional rollercoaster for me. :sad2: Anyway - DH and I went out for a 20 mile ride. I'm pooped now! Baling hay this afternoon....so I'll call it a "double work out day".:woohoo: Of course, I've put on 4 pounds over the summer, so I have my work cut out for me. :headache:

 AHHHHH....

I'm majorly stressing out....my calendar went from "blank" to "quintuple booked" in a matter of seconds. back to school=too many obligations!!!

where's my chocolate...:rolleyes1

I was on all morning then nothing. Sorry. Electric went out on the block our office is in.

I'm home to pick up Maddi for dance and checking in.

I'll do a proper post on all the funny later.

Lyz

Quick pop in before I have to do the whole dinner time thing.

First day was great across the board. All 3 kids LOVE their teachers and had a great day! Phew! Now I won't cry anymore. Really. Promise. They came home totally excited and that is more than I can ask for.

On the running front, I think I am gonna lose a toe nail. I am going for a pedicure tomorrow...I am hoping that if I get it trimmed short I will be able to salvage it.

Speaking of running...ahem...LIZ??? Don't you have a 5k in a couple of weeks? I haven't heard anything about running in a LONG time...:rolleyes1

Nancy--which schools is he looking at? OMG, I almost teared up when you said it was his last first day. Yikes!

OKay, I go on vacation, and HOLY CRAP!!

What, Lyz, you don't match and plan out which socks and underwear to wear with which outfits? :lmao: Cause no joke, I TOTALLY do that. Loony-toons, I know.

Amy, we like boozers. Exhibit A, here. EriKA, Exhibit B. Kat, on vacay, Exhibit C. Now if you like Vera Bradley, we're really talking! :rotfl:

As Exhibit C, someone who drives to WDW so that they can bring the world's largest cooler... I will raise my beer to that! :drinking1

Liz, you are too much! No, I totally don't match my socks and underwear to my outfits. My socks are all white. And my undies are just basic. Nothing special.

I've heard southern women, I guess the proper term would be "Belles", match, daily, their bra's and panties. I don't know about you guys, but, I don't buy sets and I have WAY more undies than I do bras.

EriKa, she called you "exhibit B" :rotfl: .

I DON'T do matchy matchy. Then again, I just live in the South, not really a "Belle". All undies are black, except for one pair I bought 3 yrs ago for my wedding, and all bras but one (which is skin colored w/ clear plastic straps) are black with clear plastic straps. There, isn't THAT exciting??

ANd :rotfl2: on exhibit B!!

I am glad to see the new folks fitting right in!! You all rock.

Dawn, I LMAO at the bra story w/ Carsyn.

I only have free internet through Friday, so be quieter this weekend, mmm-kay?

Too freakin' funny. That's what you girls are. And fast. Fast on the keyboards.

Yeah. The infamous Liz is back! Hi Liz!:lovestruc

Liz,

It's so lovely and advantageous to moi that you love Canada. I'll be using that selling point since, besides my heritage, I will surely be a disappointment to you!:lmao: :rotfl: ;)

Purses

I own one. No, you are not hallucinating. That's right purse lover - one. And it's made of scuba diving material and I don't know why. Let me measure it for you. It's four inches wide and a whole seven in length.

Shoes

When Stacy on WNTW said to a participant, "What do you mean you don't like SHOES? WTH? Are you missing a gene or something?" I instantly felt special and all warm inside.

DISCLAIMER: It's really not my fault. Try going into store after store, year after year, and saying with a sigh "do you carry size eleven?" and get the answer "No, but we have tens. Which one do you want to try on?"

I swear I will put in jail for taking out a shoe salesman/woman one day. Do they tell sevens that they have it in a six and do want to try it on? I don't know, do they? :lmao: ;) Forget what I like. I don't even allow my eyes to wander anymore.

Yes, yes there are a few stores - specialty and Payless. But some still don't have a lot of variety and some are way beyond my price range.

And of course eleven was not enough. I'm a D, E or F width. :lmao: Who knows but I consider myself fortunate because these feet came from a father with a webbed toe. :scared1: So I need to hush up - NOW.

Single man in Toronto

You'll probably hide him now. :lmao:

Seriously, I'm such a chicken. Like 41 going on 12.

Everyone ...

Thank you so much for this group. You've been so sweet and generous. And it's worked already. I've got the exercise back on a better track. I haven't even gone after the eating yet and already the white capris, that gave me the "uh oh" squeeze with the pounds creeping back in after success, are feeling so much better.

Thank you all so much.

I'm sorry to hear about the disappointments some of you have been having with your families. Hope things improve somewhat. :grouphug: Or a least venting helped the frustration.

Lisa

On the running front, I think I am gonna lose a toe nail. I am going for a pedicure tomorrow...I am hoping that if I get it trimmed short I will be able to salvage it.

the sign of a true athlete...apendage damage! :rotfl: Don't worry, it'll grow back.....eventually...:rolleyes1

Nancy--which schools is he looking at? OMG, I almost teared up when you said it was his last first day. Yikes!

So far we went an looked at Norwich University (Vermont) - totally military. We loved it. Just a *tad* extreme for me personally - I'm waaaayyyy to chatty. They'd toss me out after 15 minutes  But the programs are incredible - and just what he wants.

We've also looked at Fitchburg State (Fitchburg, Mass). I'll just say, it wasn't the right fit for us and leave it at that.

He also wants to see University of New Hampshire - which I totally LOVE. I was all signed up and ready to go there myself, and at the last minute switched to UConn (in state tuition....what can I say? :confused3 ), Penn State-Abbington, Westpoint and VMI (Virginia Military Institute) are also on his list.

So - did you notice a theme here? He is definitely going ROTC - went and had his physical last week (all by himself I must add. All the way to the *big* city of Springfield, Mass. WITHOUT me. I cried. Honestly. He doesn't need me anymore....sad and satisfying at the same time, ya know? :sad1: )

University of Maine - Orono keeps coming up as a good match, but he refuses. After staying at the Machias campus this summer during their mission trip, I think he's been traumatized. Too isolated for him..:rolleyes1 Not that Northfield, VT is a booming metropolis, but...still....it's not as remote as Machias!

It's been really difficult finding schools that match his particular criteria. Small to medium school, rural/suburban, ROTC, and Architecture/Civil Engineering/Construction Design & Management....not really a typical "major", but some schools allow for "custom degrees", so that's what he's looking for. And he doesn't want one of the "technical" colleges like RPI, Wentworth or Worcester...and he doesn't want to go too far from home. VMI and Penn State are a real stretch in the "distance" requirement...

We get to go to "Senior Planning Night" soon and learn all about the FAFSA forms, etc., etc.

totally stressful....:headache:

Inside story you want to share: I've lost over 30 pounds since feb 08. This got rid of all my baby weight and then some. Now I am out to lose the 30 I could have stood to lose pre baby. Mostly I've been running/walking and have started pilates. As far as diet goes, I've just been watching portions.
Favorite Disney Park, ride and song: EPCOT, TOT and MNSSHP parade music.

Hope everyone has a good labor day!!

Hey Amy! Welcome. Aaah girl after my own heart with the MNSSHP. I could have watched those boys with their shovels for hours.

Directly across the lake from me. I'm downtown and face the lake so this is me waving Stacey. Crap where is the waving icon? Okay, here's me looking across......:cool2:

Oh, i'm waving back! :wave2:

Hey, how did you find the waving icon? popcorn:: Lovely weather today eh Stacey? I assume you don't have some weird weather pattern forming at your end of the lake. ;)

I am right off of interstate 87 in Chazy NY exit 41 (I think :confused3 ). Head towards the Lacole (sp) border. I love the Islands too but hate HATE their speed limits! AGAIN ISSUES.... I like to speed! Slowing down to 30 is torture for me!

I looked Chazy up. Passed by you in July. That same trip ran right into a triathlon in Lake Placid. It was wild to see them run and bike right by our window. As I was eating the freshly made brownies I was given. And I pretend I don't know how my pants suddenly feel snug. :lmao:

AIM = AOL Instant Messaging. We all head over there for instant chatting. It's a way to "talk", uncensored, and privately. Whereas on the DIS it's slow, censored and open for public consumption.

When we all actually get to meet up and have a big chat, it is HI LAR IOUS and crazy. The last time we ranted about politics and The Duggers http://www.duggarfamily.com/navbar/images/header.gif That's all I'm gonna say, cause what happens at AIM stays at AIM.

Thanks so much Lyz. I have to figure it all out. I'm a tad slow. Remember I just learned to multi post this year.

okay - for you who have kids in sports or were in sports...

Yesterday (Labor Day) was a national holiday last I checked...and Treyner was gone to a cabin with a friend for the weekend...

They had soccer practice yesterday...we have nothing as parents in writing to acknowledge this...and Treyner was not back in time...as was 15 other kids from the team (practice was from 4-6)...so he is being benched for todays game...as is the others (again nothing in writing about missed practices) and I am not sure what to think...

#1 Coach can run practice run playing players how he sees fit
#2 It was not like kids were in town and did not go..all kids were out of town for the weekend with relatives or at cabins...and if they do not drive...how are they reponsible to get back in time...
#3 Why can they have a practice for high school on a national holiday and have it a manditory practice???

Ok - I am not happy with Treyner...he should have had it in his itenerary...but at the same time I understand that if he had gone to Iowa with Chad, he would not have been here on time and never has been here early on a Labor Day...he alway played football so never had practice before on Monday...and he is saying that all the kids being benched...are mad as well as parents...

Treyner did not miss any captains practices for week...no school practices for 2 weeks...not a game etc...which 80% of the seniors have as well as the rest of the team...got off of work for practices when other seniors worked through the summer and did not atttend any practices...

So what do you guys think...:confused3

Lisa

Lisa, you are truly a girl after my own heart. I own one purse too. D (Mr Kat) actually brought it home FOR me from some conference, as he manages a luggage store and gets all sorts of crazy crap for free. I never carry it. He got me a nice wallet, too, and I promptly took the insert out, put my bank card and drivers licence in it, and I use that. I do carry (well, roll) a laptop bag to and from work, though.

Shoes... I am a 9.5 in my right foot and a 10 in my left. Which is also a mess, and too wide. My biggest irritation is that shoes wear out. My mom is also an 11, but 11N. AND, she just turned 70. Imagine her 20s!! She was 5'11", as well.

Someday, we will come to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and stop by and say hello...

I am a computer programmer, so feel free to PM if you need help. Well, next week anyhow, since this week I am off and on due to WDW.

So far today, empty MK... got there around 11:30, walked on Pirates, BTRR, Splash, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Hall of Prez, ate lunch at Cosmic Rays, did Philharmagic, Small World, Buzz twice, Space, had an ice cream sandwich in Main street Bakery, and were out by 4PM. Did Luna Park pool for a while, showered, and now off to Yachtsman's Steakhouse for dinner....
