In search of my body...not the one I ate! Part Deux... We sit at the popular table!

Hey Team!

PAULA! Way to GO! That is a huge raise! Particularly in this economy. J and I each got the whopping 4% this year. Certainly not even cost of living. :sad2: so I think it shows a lot that you got such a large raise!
KAT--glad the morning one went so well. Can't wait to hear about the evening.
Erika - thanks for the kind words. I was shocked when my boss told me the number.... I was expecting a bump, but not one like that. Given the economy, I was half expecting the times are tough speech, but it never came. Now I have the tough task of living up to their expectations....

Had a great food day! And I tracked! Victories all around. Bring on the skinny!

I had a nice long post ready, and then my power went out with a crack of lightning, fantastic. so i'll try to rewrite by memory but will inevitably miss something

Erika - Thats awesome on the upcoming vacay! How exciting, and of course ppl were hitting on you at the gym, you are one hot mama!

Dawn - i hope you whipped that lil girl into shape, no crying and carrying on while on your watch!

Kat - i'm crossing my fingers for you, good luck and i hope you get your dream job after all of this, hang in there with the current job, its only a matter of time!

Xmas - i don't think we have monsters around here, however, there IS a wild african cat on the loose, but don't worry, apparently he is legally licensed as a pet and declawed, he could still chew your face off, but you know, no worries :scared1:

Paula - WOOT on the PROMO, check you out woman! you totally deserve it (and then some!!!!!) Do a high energy dance all the way to the bank, that way you'll enjoy your money AND burn calories :dance3:

Thanks... I like the way you think... Cashing in and burning calories.... Gotta love it!!!! :rotfl2:

I've had an irritating day, the bosses are all on vacay so everyone is being lazy and i'm swamped and thats annoying. Also, i'm in the process of switching banks, and somehow, even though i didn't even set the new bank up until a month after i was married, they have my maiden name and old address on half of the stuff, so i've been arguing with their customer service (i use that term loosely) reps for the last hour!!!

Bruce is out checking out a dojo (spelling?) he wants to get back into Karate, and it's going to cost a small fortune.... oh well, gots to keep the man happy i suppose. But i'm annoyed because i did so good with food choices all day, and get home to Pizza & Chicken Wings waiting for me because "we don't have time to cook before i have to leave". I know he means well, but i can feel my @ss expanding at this very moment, i am jumping on the treadmill as soon as i finish up my name change letters.

I'm also in the throes of vacation planning dilemma, my parents want us to go to Disney in April - they go for several weeks each spring for their anniversary and want our trips to overlap by a few days so we can hook up and do some things. Bruce's family wants to do a Grand Gathering in October to see MNSSHP and want us to go for a week then. Bruce isn't sure he wants to do either - we are trying to pay off my car and smash enough into savings to be able to start house hunting in the next 2.5-3 yearsish. I'm torn, of course i want to go to both, prefer to go with my family if i can only do one.... don't really want to NOT go, but i understand and kind of agree with his reasoning, but i'd have to take SOME sort of vacay this year or i'd LOSSSSSSSE IT. Anyone have any good vacation ideas that are a lil cheaper than disney?? That's where we have always gone!

Ok, enough rambling for now, i hope everyone is having a good night :goodvibes

How frustrating... Hope the paperwork at the bank goes well. I don't envy your vacation choice, but you will figure out what you want to do. Have you been to Toronto? It is a great city to explore and is easily drivable from western NY? Good luck...

Paula

Kat - loved the interview look.... as well as the quick change... I have done the same thing when interviewing...

Sounds like your options are starting to present themselves. Erika is right, as strange as the interview was, did the job and the people you would be working with interest you? If so, then it gets put on the list of possibilities. If not, then you have your answer.

Good luck with the choice and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the dream job comes through.

Paula

Hi guys. Super tired girl here. Must post minimal.

Paula - you so rock and great job on the raise!

EriKa - HIT ON! Oh my!

Kat - loving the clothes and the sleuthing! Contrats on the job offers.

Molli showed her hog today. She did not place. We are dissappointed but not suprised. We have decided we will have to spend more money on better hogs with good bloodlines if we want to place.

We are sunkissed and tired. I'm eating well, as I'm just to tired and hot to care. (Apparently I need a job outside.) Walking alot, but not fast, so not sure if that matters.

Enjoyed catching up on you guys.

Steph - no, haven't heard of that Ohio monster. (We are a princess house. No monsters here.)

I'm glad I have a princess-loving girl. No Monsters! But have you seen this guy? He's 'new'! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...tery-animal-corpse-becomes-web-sensation.html
Yes the boys are fascinated with it they make me find it on the web every chance they get to inspect it!

And, to add to my WOO HOO, an hour after the ride I was regretting it. Sore, tired, wanted to eat/inhale the entire vending machine at work and get a soda, too. I drank water instead. Then an hour later, I was still craving chocolate and ate a fiber one bar and had more water. Then, an hour later, I decided I was going to make it to lunch without any more food. Score one for me! 1 fiber one bar instead of a soda and a candy bar.

Deb
you have some strong WILL there girlfriend! I end up eating a 100 cal pack of something chocolate and grabbing me some COKE ZERO!

Steph - good job taking off the vaca-weight! :yay: I trust everyone's tummy's are on the mend in your house??
FINALLY! Everyone is on the mend! Now I am just working on bring his insulin up slow to get the right numbers again! BALANCE just like our eating everything has a balance! I am hoping for a good week weight wise this week just so I can get back on track with WW. It should be good because I am back at work and this should be calming down around here!

Okay, here are the pics.

First, for LIZ, the shoes (and yes, 3.25" heel):

Great outfit SUPERWOMAN! So did ya like this job?? Well good luck I hope you get the right job for you!

Hi guys. Super tired girl here. Must post minimal.

Steph - no, haven't heard of that Ohio monster. (We are a princess house. No monsters here.)
The Princess thing was a minimal at our house even before the boys were born Sam loved cars and trucks never baby dolls!
As for the Monster I had never heard of it either... I had heard of the one from MAINE and now the one that just washed up on the beaches of long island I saw in the news and some of the other ones that they mention but there are some that I had never heard of . I guess somewhere in the mid west there are GIANT birds. I actually like watching these! I am starting to like the History channel... no cartoons is a good thing!

Hey Paula great news about work!
E~ thanks for the info!
LIZ ~ Come back to us!!!!!

Ok, now for a real post!

KAT--good job with the quick change action! :cool1: E-mail me about the home stuff if you want to. I'm here. I promise to listen and not just be bi@tchy to D! :lmao: (But you know I will always be on your side! )

LIZ--you are done today, right???

STEPH--I will be happy to talk your ear off about DVC any time. LOVE, love, love my DVC! In fact, I just called my guide about adding on more points! :lmao: The deals right now are just so good. Also, head over to the DVC boards...every piece of information about DVC you could ever want is over there.

LYZ--hate this lack of wi-fi thing. Sorry Mol didn't place. Hope she isn't too disappointed. Willie is a good pig. The other pigs were just jealous, that's all. :rotfl: Sounds like you are doing AMAZING with food and still keeping up with the walking! WOO HOO! Stick with it. We are so so so proud of you!

STACEY--glad to have you back. And hey, welcome the boredom! Just a few months you were freaking out because you had way too much on your plate. Take this time to relax and catch up on the stuff you want to do. (And if you are bored, just spend all of that extra time working out...:rolleyes1 :lmao: of course, you knew I would say that!)

NANCY--did anyone drown on your watch? :rotfl2:

AS FOR ME...I slept in! Yes, you read that right! Of course, I still only got about 6 hours of sleep, but at least it wasn't less. And even better, I have almost nothing planned for today! The weather is crappy yet again, so no pool or beach, but still...it feels great to not have to rush anywhere. Riley has LAX this evening, but that is it for scheduled stuff.

Oh, and the LAX moms! They are a trip. They are FAR worse than the soccer moms. Mostly skinny. VERY clique-ish. Here is the great part, though...3 of them used to go to my gym. We all started about the same time in Feb. (when I started running). And we all were pretty regular until the end of the school year. They stopped working out for the summer...and man did it SHOW! I was psyched! I looked better than all 3 of them! (And they noticed, too! They asked if I was still training for the marathon, etc.) It was a very good feeling.

Soccer starts tomorrow. UGH. (Yes, so for a couple of weeks we have both LAX and soccer going...it is a fairly short overlap, fortunately.) Dawn and Jodi must be better at this than I am. I just hate the schedule and hate that there are SO many games and tournaments. It just consumes the fall.

TRIP planning...must plan. Since I have such a light day, that is the main thing on my agenda. Ok, off to call Disney Dining. :cool1:

E~ We will hear all about the planning Right??
I sent for the free dvd! I know it won't be this year that we buy because of buying the house and all but I may be able to talk my mother into buying one! I know she and my aunt talked about buying a condo down in the Orlando area and winter down there but I think they would kill each other.... my mother is very low maintenance and my aunt is VERY HIGH Maintenance. She was the one in the cape cod pics with us. She got up at 7 every morning to shower and blow dry hair and curl hair. My mom is one to shower and out the door. I also know that when they spent those few days together my mom was looking to get away from her. So I am thinking that them wintering together in ORLANDO wouldn't work! I almost was sneaky and had the dvd sent to my mom's house! I think I will still watch it online today between of loads of laundry :laundy: . I HATE LAUNDRY!

Hi guys! Only time for smallish post. And def no time for pictures. BUT...I am taking tons!

Molli was pissed! Lol. She has no right to be, she's such a drama queen. And then she was off with friends, so not to bad. I think Bob and I were more disappointed.

EriKa - ok, you have been busy:

- Booked a trip. Have to plan. That's the best part, imo.
- Decided you'd lose 10 lbs by Mid - Sept!
- and showed up the previously hot mamas at soccer. Go E!

gotta run, check back in a minute

Hi guys...

Drama last night and I feel exhausted...Chad (notice he deserves his name here) is actually starting to deal with his family...mom in particular...how she treats our children...and how he feels about it...he actually pointed out habbits of his father that he hates...including temper...and is at least acknowliging his same tendencies...this is not a comfortable place for him...and hearing him talk to his sister nd mother last night..gave me hope that he will dally with the notion of improving his life...and dealing with it...

NO IT IS NOT A MIRACLE...but it is a step in the right direction...and I think he is on a path that for the first time may lead somewhere different. For him it is huge...he is usually at the end of a dead end and can't see any problems...because if he is forced to go forward...he has to change his comfertable spot...and that does not a easy place for him.

Skyler is here through today - she is so funny and makes this squisshy nose face and snorts when she isn't allowed access to something...I laugh at her and do not give her what she wants...she is not sure what to do with that...she is no joke a man hater at 10 months...if a man is around and she can't see a woman...fear and anger I tell ya...

Soooo... Treyner is excited to babysit from 11-3 today!:rotfl2: Dan said he should wear Carsyn's bra and eyeliner! I am thinking that will be a no...but he may put on Mickey Mouse...shirt and DVD...that could win him points with her...

Chad is looking at apartments this week...our biz matter will be resolved today at 1...so this may be a day.....that I can start to look forward to the future...

I really hope that someday Chad and I can parent and be a family without all the anger...but it is something he will have to work on...saw a great book...listened to the authors the other moring on the radio..."Relationshifts"...about being a family after the divorce. I would love to have a life where he and I were able to be good with the kids..Holidays whatever...with both our new people in our lives...because hating the person in your ex's life means hating part of your kids life...and that will hurt the kids just as much as hurting them directly by not liking their choice for a spouse...a "step" or my preferred word choice "Bonus" parent is a bonus and that is it...it is not a replacement and it is not a competition...no different than a coach...a teacher ...a aunt...or a grandparent...even if a parent died...that bonus person will never replace the original..who would want that?...it is just an addition to an already good fit...like getting a deck on a house...doesn't mean you hate the house now...just means you improved it/changed it.

Well there is the Ann Landers for the morning commute...I am doing pretty good food wise I think...may go to WW today...I will let ya know...off to get stuff done...before I leave!

Kat - proud of you and happy of the options...
E - great job leading the skinny pack...tell them you are training for the Olympics!
Lyz - sorry about Wilbur...didn't fully understand that there is a caste system for pigs...
Liz - tell me more about the radio gig
Brcs - I say do both...cut out extras on eating out...movies etc...to save the difference...
Paula - are you going to join us Sat night in Dec. at Raglands?

Everyone else! - HI!:cheer2: Eat well...

Hi guys!

Please don't hate me...I weighed in today. And after four days of drinking and eating, I lost. -1.2. I almost fell of the scale. Is that a freak of nature, or what???

Ok, off to Nick's birthday stuff - Mets game at Shea tonight. Be back tomorrow. I SWEAR!!!!

Oh, and radio gig - this week and last, I wrote some of the copy you hear, nationwide, on the radio. Stations subscribe to various options - like country, rock, sports, etc. This one was called Ladies Room and it had stuff about makeup, fitness, health, shopping, etc. Tomorrow is the last day I wrote for, so if you listen to a station that talks about stuff like that, let me know and I'll tell you if I wrote it or not! If you've heard about the book Traffic:Why We Drive the Way We Do and it was on a popular radio station, it could have been me. There are lots of feeds they subscribe to, and they pick and choose what to talk about.

Ok, ttyl!!!!

OMFG LIZ! Way to go! I am so super proud of you!

And YES...LAX mean lacrosse! It is by far the post popular sport in this area.

Just checking in as I sit down to get to work.

Good food day here. I am a little under at this point, but I will be working for hours, so I am sure I will end the day right around 1200 calories or so.

Exercise =

21 mile bike ride followed by 15 minutes of core.

That is my longest ride to date!

I am sooo tired. From yesterday, still. I overslept this morning, the bike ride wasn't happening. (Yesterday morning I was really tired, went out, almost ran over a couple defenseless frogs, and got whopped in the face by the branch I forgot to duck. Not doing that again!)

So I did the pilates off the cable's on demand. Didn't even break a sweat, and was just as tired as when I began. Made it through work without making any bad choices. :woohoo: Got home, changed to go out on a bike ride. DH invited DD and me to go for a walk after dinner. Had to know, you know? I'm all about instilling better habits in Kaitlyn than I have right now. And the conversation can be quite intriguing. Get back, got her ready for bed, then forced myself out for a bike ride and left DH to put her to bed, as the sun was going down. Got 3 miles in, didn't swallow one bug. :thumbsup2 Breathe through the nose!

Tomorrow's the prelim WW meeting at work. Be interesting to see how it goes.

Anyone follow aviation? Airbus delivered Emirates their first A380, and it made it's inaugural flight - Dubai to JFK to LAX - Mon. We make airplane seats here in Miami, and made the seats for their first class cabin. And the cabinetry, too, but in Tucson. That seat's more comfortable than any lazy boy you ever had! There's a mini-bar and a lighted vanity mirror in every suite, as well as the seat laying completely flat into a bed. There's doors that close completely, like a old-fashioned train compartment. Way cool!

Deb

I thought LAX as the airport, too.

Deb, do you have AIM? I am katk1975 if you ever want to chat. Also, my best friend's DD is also named Kaitlyn. I really like the name.

Liz, you are a freakin machine. And yes, you have caught up. I was 163 this morning. I am so super proud of you, though. :)

So, the job I really really want followed up with me this morning before I got the followup email out to them. I chatted with the HR lady this morning for a while, and she said that the interviewers gave her great feedback w/r to me, so that is good news. I told her about the other offers and she said that they had one more person that was scheduled to come in, and that they would be making a decision on Friday. I also said a lot of good things about how much I liked it there and that they were my first choice, etc. Easy to say because it is totally true.

I had another startup interview today and I really liked them all a lot, but it is a risky one (no benefits, under 30 people, etc) and I am not sure that it is a good idea to jump into something like that right now. And of course home would be not supportive at all of such a thing.

Also, I left work super early to do this one, and I think I wound up in trouble over it. I thought my boss was going to be out all afternoon and he came back and was looking for me (called me on my cell, etc). I gave him the hubby had a flat tire excuse, and am about to log on and finish up my work now, but I think that when I give notice they are going to start going hmmm...

Sam used to be the same dam way... I couldn't shower and leave her with stephen she would flip out!

Soooo... Treyner is excited to babysit from 11-3 today!:rotfl2: Dan said he should wear Carsyn's bra and eyeliner! I am thinking that will be a no...but he may put on Mickey Mouse...shirt and DVD...that could win him points with her...
:rotfl2: :cool1: This is way to funny ... I hope it all went well!

I really hope that someday Chad and I can parent and be a family without all the anger...but it is something he will have to work on...saw a great book...listened to the authors the other moring on the radio..."Relationshifts"...about being a family after the divorce. Ok this is so true I wished my mom could have gotten this when I was younger! I had to wait to my dad and stepmother got divorced to discover that she wasn't the mean old lady that my mom portrayed her as. I swear I talk to my step mother or BONUS ( I like that) mother more than my own mother and my mom live 12 miles from. And yes I am in the same situation here at my house with my step son he isn't a bonus... he is a PITA! MOMMAS BOY! What ever his momma tells him is law so if she says don't talk to so and so then he doesn't including me! The joys of being a BONUS parent! I don't know how many times I have apologized to my bonus mom for being mean if I ever was!
