In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

Liz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to get off the computer and I stopped - ummmm you said "where I am fat". Ummm, nonsense talk. Nonsense talk. Calling you on your nonsense talk.

Well, I can top Kat's temperature..It was 82 here today!!

Challenge Stuff for me:

C25K x 2 was a bust. I did do it once, but my shin splints were so horrible that I quit after one time through. I stretched and iced afterward, and ended up breaking out in hives on my left shin! :confused3 (and before anyone asks, I am ordering new shoes, like right now!!) so, C25K for the week: 1/3.

Tracking: I tracked today, so 2/3. Dinner was a little high since we had pasta and I ate more than I should have, but i was on the low side today for B and L so it all worked out. I did have diet soda today, but also drank all my water:
Also, LOTS of veggies with the pasta.

Booze: None.

Not much else to report. Delena has an appointment with the urologist tomorrow for a kidney ultrasound to make sure everything still looks okay after that infection she had over the summer.

Erika- I hope you are feeling a better soon. Rest!! :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a good evening!

Hi All--I would LOVE to say that I rested all day. But no such luck. Tons and tons of stuff had to get done today...mostly kid-related. But I did go to the doc and got some wonderful, wonderful drugs. And finally, I am happily stoned on my couch. :rotfl2:

I go the specialist tomorrow, so that will be where I get the real info. Right now, though, it is looking like rest and no being on my feet at all for 48 hours (I have crutches for getting around). He said that the tri in 3.5 weeks should be fine.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! It was nice to come home to.

Amy--great news about the job potential. In this economy, that is really amazing news. I'll keep hoping for you.

Sorry for not responding to everyone. I just don't have it in me tonight.

Glad you two got to spend some time together. The fact that he wanted to spend time with you while sick is a very good sign.

Have fun you two...

I am loving the fact that you through in that you didn't kill any in-laws. Some days that is the biggest victory of all.

Good luck at WW and I agree - it should be fine.

I am dragging today. Jesse worked me hard yesterday and I am feeling it today. Good thing it is my rest day (see - Nancy, I do take those).

Back to filing hades for me. It should be done soon (I hope).

talk to you all later,
Paula

Yeah, I thought that was a good sign. If nothing else, I really enjoy spending time with him. He accepts me for me. I can be as direct and blunt as I want and he gets it.

I am officially on the couch with my leg elevated and on ice until further notice. I am NOT happy.

Ouch E! I have a feeling this might be doctor ordered, so  . Hang in there. Any conclusion about what caused it? Uneven conditions, maybe?:confused3

I'm not sure I could even EAT a dozen donuts :crazy2: And I know that I could never run 2 more miles and expect to keep them in :scared:

And the beer run? OMG. I'd be zig zagging all along the course. I'd run off the road, I'm sure

Has he mentioned any need to "check under the hood"? :lmao:

Thank goodness you haven't killed anyone lately. :rolleyes1 Although, come to think of it....a good throw-down *might* be considered exercise? :rotfl2:

Ugh. Be careful! Don't need you blowing away like something out of Wizard of Oz! :clown:

And they are well deserved too! You've been bustin' your butt bigtime!

I really am sorry. I pulled a hamstring on Christmas Eve about 7 or 8 years ago. I remember sitting in church with tears welling up in my eyes from the pain. It was simply awful.

That is such an important muscle to practically every movement your body makes. It's always "engaging" which makes it that much more difficult to try and rest it so that it can fully and properly heal. I know how hard it is for you to be couch-bound. Please take care of it.

No mention of that last night, just some absent-minded messing with my hair. It was sweet. I bet you guys are going to go nuts over that.

What Color highlights does she have?? She didn't have any when she was a pup????

AMY that is great! Lab sounds cool we have talked about getting into DNA testing and all that stuff because The hospital well lab is looking into making more $$$. Keep us updated!

UMMM what time did you have your car worked on?:confused3 Just saying you posted this at 1130?? :rotfl2:

Are you tied down? I know that they have to have you tied or glued down because you don't sit still. Well I hope you get better soon my friend! You need to rest it!

Well I finally got the last of the christmas stuff put away! now just have to put all the NORMAL stuff back to wear it belongs!
OK off to eat lunch and get ready for work

:rotfl: It was a short visit.

Tracking is easy for me as well, when I am on. I like knowing where I am for the day, so I usually enter everything in after lunch and then after dinner. Sparkpeople makes it easy, esp since I have been using it for a while and have imported any of my regular foods that aren't in their db.

Have you seen the doc? Is this enforced bed rest?

I don't think I could eat TWO donuts let alone a dozen. Donuts for some reason (on or off wagon) just sit like lumps in my stomach, give me a sugar aftertaste, and overall make me feel kinda icky.

:rotfl: at the running under the influence!!

I need to get my skates sharpened and want to at least log 30 min or so on them before the game Fri night. This is proving to be a difficult logistical thing as none of the rinks have weeknight skates, and I have a haircut appt at noon tomorrow. I may wind up doing an 8:15 open hockey practice tomorrow morning, which means leaving the house at 7:30AM...

My goal is to enter it on sparkpeople Friday when I am hiding from my family after my facial.

So y'all are going to hate me when I say it was 74 today right?

Nah, it was like 68 here and sunny. Also, you live there because the weather is nice. So why shouldn't it be nice 24/7? You're getting you know what when it's not.

I'm envious. I have very wind blown hair today (60 mph ones).

Well then....

I would love to have my car worked on. :surfweb:

:lmao: Hope you are doing well, Lisa.

Today was Em's Valentine's Party. So she came home with these projects she did. One was a book. She's four, if you're keeping track at home.

Page one, My Daddy likes to Ice Skate.

Page two, My mommy likes to work, with a stick figure me with a laptop in front of me.

Page three, I like to Ice Skate with my Daddy.

So much for the loving, nurturing SAHM thing, huh? :rotfl:

Also, why must the Wii Fit make me fat around the middle? Why can't it make me fat where I AM fat?

Oh Liz that sounds like something my kids would say.

Congrats on your interview yesterday. So jealous on the 80+ weather.

Enjoy the meds. Glad you are feeling better.

LOL! I was in my 200s when I made mine and I looked like Violet Beauregard from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after she turned into a blueberry!! :scared1:

AHHH! You're turning VOILET, Violet :rotfl2:

Liz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to get off the computer and I stopped - ummmm you said "where I am fat". Ummm, nonsense talk. Nonsense talk. Calling you on your nonsense talk.

:mic: Liz, I do believe that you did grant permission to call you out when you referred to yourself as anything other than the fantabulous gal that you are!

'xcuse me? Stopping your run due to shin splints is NOT quitting. It's called listening to your body and exercising responsibly. :mic:

Not much else to report. Delena has an appointment with the urologist tomorrow for a kidney ultrasound to make sure everything still looks okay after that infection she had over the summer.

Good luck to Lil 'D tomorrow! :flower3:

But I did go to the doc and got some wonderful, wonderful drugs. And finally, I am happily stoned on my couch. :rotfl2:

Can I just point something out here? We take away your alcohol, so no more drunken posting for you. :drinking1 But now what is this? You get yourself all hepped up on painkillers instead? :confused3 Do we need an intervention here?

I go the specialist tomorrow, so that will be where I get the real info. Right now, though, it is looking like rest and no being on my feet at all for 48 hours (I have crutches for getting around). He said that the tri in 3.5 weeks should be fine.

whoo boy. I really feel for the orthopedic Dr. I hope he's wearing protective gear if he tells you anything but good news! :lmao:

Yeah, I thought that was a good sign. If nothing else, I really enjoy spending time with him. He accepts me for me. I can be as direct and blunt as I want and he gets it.

That's really nice. :goodvibes

Lisa. Nancy. Yes you are right. But, ladies, I am a bit...padded in certain parts there! For real!

Now, 15 lbs ago? Nope, not fat. ;)

I'm watching Nick do Wii Fit yoga. It's hilarious. Maybe I recommend this to anyone who isn't drinking? It's like being drunk! :lmao: Get one and laugh at your family!

Wouldn't you just love to be a mouse in the corner or fly on the wall, lol.

:rotfl:

Honestly, Erika. I'm only laughing because I am SO sure that you will do fine tomorrow. And that the Dr. will give you the go ahead for your upcoming tri.

That, and well, let's face it. Would ANY of us want to be the one that tells Erika she "can't"? :confused3 No thanks!

:rotfl: It was a short visit.

Sounds like things are progressing nicely between you two. Spending more time together, he is relaxing around you and is accepting of you. He is playing with your hair. I am liking where this is heading and am so happy for you. Have fun with it.

Liz - I'm sure that Em loves ice skating with you too. Let Nick spend a week at home with her and you'll shoot right to the top of her favorites list.

E - take care of yourself.

My sister and I took a quick trip to the mall so she could buy a new camera. I tried on a pair of jeans while I was there and found out that I dropped a full size - whoo hoo!!!! They didn't have the color wash I wanted so I need to check out the other store in the area before I just order them online. Other than that, I am doing a whole lot of nothing tonight and loving it. I did break down and ate a small brownie from what was left of the batch I made on Monday night. It was yummy and I have no guilt since it was somewhat planned. I know I'll work it off tomorrow and it was still about 1/4 of the size of what I would have normally eaten a year ago so I'll take that as a victory.

Have a great night everyone,
Paula

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: On the jeans, Paula! And on the planned brownie - good job!

Actually, I don't skate with Em. Me? Ice skate? What am I, Kat? ;)

Um, no. Mommy shops. Mommy cleans. Mommy uses her laptop! She got it right on the money! I'm not sad, for goodness sakes! I'm making fun of my oh-so-nurturing self!

That has a YouTube video written all over it....

Liz - you are fabulous and don't let your inner voice tell you anything different.

:rotfl:

Um no... No way do I want to be that person.

Amy - hope all goes well with D tomorrow. Keep us posted.

Lisa. Nancy. Yes you are right. But, ladies, I am a bit...padded in certain parts there! For real!

"padded".

Ok - so yesterday during my training session, we were doing the leg press. The one where you are kind of in a reclining postion, pushing the weight load upwards. The trainer says "pull in those abs". I looked up at her and very indigently said "they ARE in. That's as IN as they go!" :lmao:

I'm watching Nick do Wii Fit yoga. It's hilarious. Maybe I recommend this to anyone who isn't drinking? It's like being drunk! :lmao: Get one and laugh at your family!

I LOVE mocking my family members. Problem is, they love mocking too  We are such a loving family :rolleyes1

Yeah Paula!!!!

As far as car repair goes, I'm trying really hard not to be a total girl. Trying to hide from that little butterfly. But, whatever happens, happens.

I LOVE mocking my family members. Problem is, they love mocking too  We are such a loving family :rolleyes1

Oh we have that too.

Liz ~ I lost your quote, but I was going to put this: :rotfl:

Love it, Nancy. It's like when they tell you to scoop your abs, and you're like, that IS scooped! It's as scooped as I get!

I tried on a pair of jeans while I was there and found out that I dropped a full size - whoo hoo!!!!

:cheer2: AWESOME! And the brownie? Nicely done. :thumbsup2

Did she draw you with a VB bag? :confused3

Um, yes. Me no tell Erika no. No sirree bob!

Does anyone elses' family do "noses"? :confused3 'Cause I'm definitely "not it!"
