In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

I hear you. I am bored with food today and want the good stuff!

I am so proud of you for getting back on it. You have come SO FAR. I will not let you sit down at the finish line. (Cause there has to be a running metaphor, right?)

And don't forget that you also broke up with movie popcorn! Do not go back to him! He is a mean and cruel lover. But seductive as hell, eh?

I so want to get back together with him. He talks such a good game.

See? Struggling AND posting. Honesty, doncha love it?

Oh, my, Nancy - tofu shirataki noodles! The best thing ever! One package is 0 points! Use like pasta, stir fry, mix into soup. So great.

http://www.house-foods.com/Tofu/tofu_shirataki.aspx

ZERO points? Gonna have to check them out. Do they taste like anything? Or do they kinda take on the flavor of whatever you cook them with?

YES! These are a huge staple in my house. My kids call them "tofoodles." Since they are based on tofu, they have no real flavor of their own. J calls tofu a "flavor theif" because it just take son the flavor of whatever you cook with it. So if you season them well or put them in a yummy broth, they turn out FAB. You can tell that it isn't "real" pasta, but really, they do add to the meal or soup so much.

Good Evening Everybody!

Today was day 3 without soda ~don't really notice a difference other than being thirsty all the time. Drinking a fuze slenderize and then filling it up with water twice, so about 60 oz while at work.

Well, it looks like I have quite a few pages to catch up on, be back later.

ok. This is just....either an amazing coincidence...or really spooky.

But...at the bottom of my page here....there is an ad. For Shiratake noodles.

Oh my gosh! This looks like something that won't mess up my insulin. I have been dying for pasta. Oh I feel a trip to Cincinnati coming on! Lord knows I won't be able to find them here.

So I was going to reply to more posts, but that will have to wait until I get back from somewhere (swear I didn't plan this and I am not going to tell yet). :lmao:

Kat - Have a great trip and have a beer for me... Too bad you won't make it to Narcoosee's this time. I would tell you to have a glass of chamagne there instead...

checkin' in....

Food - 28 points...but...I *might* have a piece of apple pie ;) I haven't had a "cheat" day in a while, so...it's not out of the question....

Exercise: TM...5 1/2 miles...plus stretching...60 minutes...1210/1500

I know that things are moving in the right direction...FINALLY.

Updated: I ate the pie. A very small piece - and it was good. Totally worth it IMO. Calculated out to 6 points....so Food for the day: 34 points. Over "budget"....but it is what it is.

Hi all...

Crazy day with angry eyes in full on rage towards one of my contractors. Not a fun day at all. Ate one white chocolate, cranberry cookie due to stress. Stopped at one though.

Still in a nasty mood frankly so I will spare you the details. Hope everyone's day is going better than mine.

Off to bed,
Paula

Daily totals =

Food = 1560 calories, which is just on the high side, all tracked.
Water = yikes! Still a bit short, but I will pound it tonight
Alcohol = still on the wagon
Exercise = took it a bit easy due to this slight twinge of pain I am having. Biked for 10 miles then did 10 minutes of rowing (just to get me up to 45 minutes of cardio) and core.

All in all, a very good day--especially since this was the first day that I was really tempted.

Tomorrow is the day I always fear the most. It is typically our splurge night. And while I know I can splurge once in a while, now is just not the time. I really want to get two perfect weeks under my belt and see where I am at.

Challenge results coming...either late tonight or tomorrow morning.

STACEY--you have been doing so great...did you weigh in today? Where are you?

Who else thinks that Amiee has a date with Car Guy? :lmao:

Paula--don't feel the need to spare us. If it will help you to vent, then by all means, let it out.

Paula, sorry you had a bad day.

I got home at 7:30 today and ate dinner and everything was packed by 9PM. Not bad. :thumbsup2

Off to bed now... thanks for all the well-wishes!!

Totally!!! Can't wait for the details...

Thanks for the offer. I am feeling better now. It really was a bunch of work cr@p that I'll get over by the time I wake up tomorrow. Plus, we have a plan for dealing with it on Monday.

Erika - so glad that you are back on again. I know you were struggling so hearing you so confidently working your program is just awesome.

Have a good one,
Paula

Kelly - Twinkie's are a golden cake filled with creme. They are the super processed food of childhood. You have similar things to them, but the names escape me now.
UMM yeah They don't taste as good as an adult... Why is that?? I guess that is a good thing just like devil dogs and the hostess cupcakes.

OOO I LOVED IT!!!!

Eww. :crazy2: They do NOT sound appetising when you put it like that! I won't be paying crazy shipping prices to have any sent over here thats for sure!
Eclairs are really nice (and fattening). They do go mouldy though if left unattended for days on end!

Have a FANTASTIC time at WDW :cool1:
I make really good eclairs!!

One of the things I tell my students is that one of the most important things they can learn in their college careers is time and project management. If they are able to look ahead and see, "Gosh, I have 3 exams and 2 papers due that week...plus baseball championships and my girlfriend's parents are coming into town...I can't handle all of that." Then ABSOLUTELY I will give an extension. That is a GREAT skill to work on and master. Learn how to schedule and plan. Learn how to prioritize. I love seeing students do that.
I so loved teachers like you! I had one in college and I went to her saying I have a feeling I am not doing well and I know I am at wits end (I had a new baby and with steph's wacked schedule I wasn't sleeping) I explained everything thing to her and she was great and actually told me I had NOTHING to worry about because I was doing great in her class! But she listened and would have done something to help me if I had needed it!

Heather--we have several distance runners here (Half Marathon and up)! 4 of us right now and others who are starting.

Do you have a training plan yet?

Have you heard of Couch to 5 k?

Come run with us! (Virtually that is! We post our minutes and miles and pace and race reports....all of it!)

And 20 pounds?!?! Easy-peasy. Stick with us.
Hi Heather!

Couch to 5 k at your service....

Lots of us swear by it!

http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
Thanks for posting it I want to start it when the snow goes away! I guess that will mean I will need new sneakers!

Oh no! I hope he is ok!

Good for you though getting extra $$$.
I guess he had a grand maul seizure so that is why he was rushed in but now he is experiencing withdrawals from alcohol so that is making his recovery that much harder! She is basically living at the hospital!

Okay,

Got to run.

Did I mention my parents (Heather I'm staying at my parents while they are in Florida while I sell my home)have a bird clock. Yes, it is exactly as you imagine. Exactly.

A different bird every flippin' hour. And especially for the midnight hour - an owl. :lmao: :rotfl:

Can we say - :badpc: sometimes? :lmao: :rotfl:
Oh Joy my boys had a John deere tractor clock that did the same thing. I shut the DAM thing off! It used to wake them and then they came and woke me up and I need my beauty sleep! Have you seen me without sleep
scaryface.jpg

and what gets me is the woman was holding a freaking guide map which I am sure somewhere stated that Canada had a MOVIE, not a ride. :confused3

Also overheard while at EPCOT. "tomorrow we're going to disney world!". Umm, you are at disney world. I can only assume she meant MK.
Ok I NEVER DID this in DISNEY except my first time there as an adult and that was before I was computer savoy , but I once asked while in a campground where the campground went but I actually was looking for the campsite.... Mind you I was 18 and VERY VERY DRUNK!

Who else thinks that Amiee has a date with Car Guy? :lmao:
Oh I totally think so!!!!!!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Go Amiee!!!

So did I mention I am going to go see Disney on ice! woo hoo! I haven't been to one of those type shows in YEARS! My brother bought us all a ticket for christmas! So this will also be my first time going into the NEW boston gardens! I think it is 10 - 12 years old! I think the last time I went to see a ice show it was the ice capades and Dorothy Hamel was the star! Yeah that was many moons ago. We got pretty good seats not on the ice but behind that seating area second row.

So tonight Stephen asked me if I was tracking on the WW web site and I told him NO because now with the computer out of the way it is just harder to get to it. Before the computer was in the dining room and I lived on it so everything I put in my mouth got tracked now with the computer upstairs in the spare bedroom I don't come up here, ( hence my downward spiral of tracking and posting here) I will be getting the PC back anytime now so That will come up here and I will put the Mac downstairs and start tracking. Plus my mind isn't into it right now I don't know why but it isn't. I lose one week and then gain it back two weeks later. I am for the most part staying around the same weight which is good, but I need to lose, not stay the same. I know I need to add in exercise but I feel funny doing it by myself here at home and I really can't afford to go to a gym and since we don't have cheap gyms around it's hard. And most gyms are in Plattsburgh and to drive to Plattsburgh twice in one day it is a lot on the gas tank. That would be 80 miles in one day! So I need to figure something out.

Liz I think you goal is great that is where I want to be!
Lyz- I missed the whole thing with your sister I hope that everything worked out, and that she is on the mend.

Ok Need to get to sleep the Boys have skating in the am ooops it is the AM! SO they have skating in like 9 hours! Then I have WORK:sad2: :scared:

Kat,

I'm a last minute girl too with packing and everything else:lmao: . Like that.

Have a wonderful, wonderful time!!!

Good to see you Steph. Pretty picture of you. :goodvibes ;) Talk to you tomorrow. Just wanted to say :wave2:

Erika - I forgot to thank you for the crown. And thanks for all your work on the challenge. Appreciate it.
