In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

Ah, that's a fake out, my girlfriend. ;) I have baby goals, so 160 is my first goal, then down from there to lifetime weight. But looking at the same numbers made me crazy, so I just changed the ticker. :lmao:

Re-adjusted goals. Works for me :goodvibes I still love that it's right there practically squashing the goal!

Then I am off to go see the doctor ( for my thyroid) and to Wal-mart for a new toilet seat! Someone cracked it last night and I had nightmares of sitting on it thinking something would get pinched! OUCH!

:rotfl2: I've been known to duct tape toilet seats before...the thought of having my buns pinched is something I don't even want to consider :scared: My luck I'd need stitches or something. Can you even imagine walking into the Dr's office for THAT?? :lmao:

I dvr'd the hip hop abs! I will watch it when I am by myself to see if I am coordinated enough to do it...

:rotfl2: I bought a hip-hop dance workout dvd. :scared1: I'm going to try it tomorrow morning...I'll let you know how I make out (my success will be based upon the reaction of my DD...whom I am hoping will dance with me :rolleyes1 )

Thanks for the thoughts on my pain.

you're welcome  I've been known to "over do" it on occasion :rolleyes1

I had a thought about your pear... My grandmother used to have this horribly awful ceramic object de Art of these african savages on an elephant that were attacking tigers that she received as a gift... It was so horrible and awful that you couldn't help but wonder WTH the artist was thinking let alone the purchaser.

all I can think of now is that Travelocity Gnome..popping up in all kinds of odd places

Hey all...I am posting this for Liz at her request.

Liz's mom (Sylvia) is a 4-time survivor of breast cancer. Many of us have been with Liz as she supported her mom through the last battle this time last year. Though she has been in remission for some time, the cancer is back yet again. Devastating news, to be sure.

The current plan is 4 months of chemo. Then go from there. They have faith that she will kick this bout as well, so that is good. But of course, prayers and support are needed all around.

Liz is reading the thread but will be quiet for a while in terms of posting. So, she's here with us, but needs to be supported and cheered on while she deals with other issues.

Love you, babe.

Prayers indeed. For everyone. :grouphug:

SO. I've made it successfully thru lunch...I had really lost touch with my food intake. It's so tempting to grab a handful of almonds...or chips...or ANYTHING. I'm NOT hungry...I'm just having this need to munch on something... :scared: it's all habit, not a need for fuel. (having little battles in my head right now...)

Okay. I'm not sure that we are twins anymore.

:guilty:

So - I *knew* that was the battery - I've charged it a hundred times before. But at that very moment, I guess I just had a "duh" moment where I *thought* I took out the memory card...:confused3 Hey - we can't ALL be rocket scientists, right? :goodvibes

Having the same battles as you are Nancy. Not easy.

Annoying. Very annoying. Seems like I am never more fixated on food than when I am in a "weight loss" mode. It is in my brain every second. Planning what I'll eat next, watching the clock to see if it's TIME to eat yet....it always brings me back to those cliche's that you hear all the time...

"if you fail to plan, then plan to fail". :headache: God, I do hate those cliche's. They are so over-used...but that's probably because they are proven fact  and I so hate anyone telling me what to do :rolleyes1

Enjoy the house to yourself and Eclipse. I think it's my favorite out of all four!

Mine too

Hey -two things! We need links on the first page to the last three threads...also, we need the cast in one post! Right? I feel very lost without that.

Touchstones, people. I need touchstones! :goodvibes

Is the cast a list of everyone in the group? If so then that would be excellent! I feel silly forgetting everyones 'real life' names!

 My thoughts are with you, your mum and all your family. Extra hugs

My exercise started today, and it was good. I didn't pass out, collapse or die so I see that as a positive for the day! :rotfl:
Oh, and at the end of the month me and DH are joining a Gym :cool1: Ive never joined an actual gym before, what with DH working different shifts to me (Im far too cowardy custard to go on my own), but now hes changed shifts and they are practically the same as mine so we can go straight from work! We are joining at the end of the month because thats when they have the best membership deals :rotfl:

So, I will now have even more motivation (Im hoping for an Edward looky-like for a trainer :lmao: ) Im just worried about my complete lack of balance, grace, general 'being able to stand up for more than two minutes without falling over-ness'. Im sure i'll be fine. Im sure I wont fly off the back of the treadmill and land in a sweaty heap at Edward-trainers feet (see, Im already imagining thats what my trainers going to look like - man am I going to be disappointed! :lmao: )

Thats my news for the day. Ive eaten pretty healthy, had fruit for snacks and avoided the 'tin of sin' at work (our chocolate/biscuit/bun tin). Good for me!
The only thing im struggling with is the amount of water I need to drink. Ive drank today a grand total of....one glass :guilty:

Got this quote today in a newsletter and thought of you all:

Quote of the day:

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of sh*t."

Pretty empowering huh....

Remember, we are making ourselves greater with each step we take on our journey...

Paula

Liz -

Sending you and your family hugs and prayers....

Paula :flower3:

Loved that Paula!

And Nancy! We are sharing a brain today! That is exactly how my days go as well!

Kelly - there is on the first page of the last thread. And Lyz is going to do for this thread as well. I made my own cheat sheet. It made life so much easier.

Thanks Paula.

Erika - how is Kelly feeling? When she makes a turnaround is she business as usual or does it take a few weeks?

Kelly - there is on the first page of the last thread. And Lyz is going to do for this thread as well. I made my own cheat sheet. It made life so much easier.

Cheat sheet - thats a great idea. You can all go in my new fancy la-di-dah tracker notebook!

:lmao: We'll I'd say that's a good start!

Paula

Love that quote Paula. :goodvibes So true. Much better than those dang cliche's that are stuck in my head...did I mention that cliche's annoy me?

:dance3: Just trying to make you smile twin! I'm still here. :lovestruc. And very clueless too!!!

:cloud9: Well....clueless I am. But I have to say, it's not entirely my fault! I live with a bunch of techie geeks who find it much easier to do things for me, than to explain it to me. Enablers they are

(now, with tail between my legs, I have to go ask DD how to use the dvd player. Yes. It's true. I don't ever use it. and I need to know so that when it's time to attempt my hip-hop dance dvd, I don't have to ask one of the boys for help :rolleyes1 )

Cheat sheet - thats a great idea. You can all go in my new fancy la-di-dah tracker notebook!

I have a fancy-shmancy notebook too! :yay: Ok. Maybe not so much...it's a 3 ring binder with the plastic "sleeve" thingy on the outside so I can put in fun cover pictures, etc. But it works. And it holds lots of stuff, all in one place - so no excuses for me.

Just came from the chiropractor and feel GREAT! I so needed that adjustment. OH - and I had my snack. Felt like a little kid "yippeeee it's finally SNACK TIME" :yay: :yay:

Major reality check coming off all that holiday food I was mindlessly devouring!

5 awesome miles today. In the dark and cold. But still, a really really inspiring run. Yes Paula, I wore my reflector bib. Put your angry eyes away...:lmao:

Nancy!!!!!:rotfl: :surfweb: :flower3:

Oh writing. I meant I'm very clueless too. As in also. :dance3:

And maybe you got that!!! We're like who's on first!! So laughing.

You know I've been secretly waiting on the review of your hip hop tape. I would love to try one. I'm a good dancer. But not when there are specific moves to follow. When a set of moves/steps come - well no. But I'm dying to hear.

Cheat sheet - thats a great idea. You can all go in my new fancy la-di-dah tracker notebook!

Good. It really works. I started here in August. I would have been lost without it.

Tin of Sin. :rotfl2: I love it!

I know, eh? You're funny Kelly.

That's nice Erika.

I'm salivating right now. Rainbow Trout is in my home. Yes.

Enjoy Dawn. And Lyz???? Are you another no seafood girl?

Hugs to all those who are hurting today.

I was pretty good today in the eating department. Just not really hungry today. I really hope that doesn't mean I am getting sick. Exhausting day again at work. Will it ever loosen up?

Does anybody else have problems getting their kids to eat their veggies? My son will eat anything (brussel sprouts, sushi, beets, anything), but my daughter is getting very picky and it is driving me crazy! This girl is going to be the death of me I swear.

Gotta catch up ~ 3 pages already today?!?

Enjoy Dawn. And Lyz???? Are you another no seafood girl?

Did somebody say 'ROAD TRIP'? I'm in!
