In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

OMG Nancy I almost totally forgot this , This weekend while at work I happened to notice this calender and there was a guy sitting on an old farming wagon with apples and such on it and guess what he was holding ? YOUR PEAR you gigantic PEAR! Seriously! I burst out laughing saying OMG there is Nancy's pear! I'm not sure if the pear makes an apPEARance in the whole calender or if it is just that page but I will look!

Guess what...I have heat!!! :woohoo:
It took him about 10 minutes to fix. Less said about that the better I think!

Im very excited! :furious: <---Thats not me being angry, thats me being really warm when I stick my face to the radiators when I get home!

Hi everyone!

Still have to catch up. Will do soon.

I"ve been swamped. Moved to my parents yesterday. They are in Florida for the winter. And I've been back and forth for the last two weeks. And that hasn't worked with lesson plans here and there. Work clothes. Etc.

I'm sad but I'll get over it.

The place is up for sale. I got a nice shock yesterday. Markets are down here after years of up, up, up - not huge differences like some areas in the US. However, downtown is holding just taking longer to sell. I thought our place, despite high floor/facing south/lake view/terrace, would max at about 210 because it's so small. But he said our unit, without a terrace, sold for 250 000 in the late summer. I almost fell over because I live in 440 square feet. So it might be down from that, especially with our federal government issues affecting the economy, but pleasantly surprised. I also might be able to sell a locker, storage cage, separately. Just giving pluses to selling something I don't want to. Also, are you ready for this? He seems to think he can find some one bedroom/plus den - two bedroom downtown in our price range. I'm a little paranoid about the maintenance fees on those. I guess there are some places that never come on the MLS. Insider selling. I don't know. I was psyched. Who knows. Jean has been taken away by the idea of space. So time will tell.

And our cats, I'm so smiling I'm a dog girl and have cats :lmao: , are here so they don't have to deal with showings and an open house. And Nevillle won't stand for any smell cleaning substance. Not for one minute. I so love cats :lmao: - they want life exactly they way they want it. And won't settle for less! :lmao: Much to learn.

Okay will take some time to catch up,

Lisa

Update...held to my guns and Treyner's school is going to fix the problem...was a matter of simple re-coding the class...yet it has taken me literally 10-20 hours for over a month plus..of them and I and Fort Lewis fighting to get them to admit they were wrong...I threatened going to the superintendent and the Mn school board itself...now they are all appologetic...

Anyway..over and done...Fort Lewis says I should get college credits myself for all this...I will take that as a compliment...now get the kid in and give him some money to play soccer and I can be done!

I am doing well with the weight loss...and plan on hitting the Y today...

it is snowing bad here - blizzard conditions just west of us.....tom. a high of 5 below only...35 minus with windchill:scared1:

That's a relief! ::yes:: Isn't this whole college thing just so much *fun*? :scared:

My son just had his Army ROTC interview last Thursday...slowly but surely getting all the pieces to his "puzzle" put together. One more Dr. Appt this week...and *hopefully* all his paperwork will be in order. I'm on pins & needles here...just waiting to find out about the scholarship. Because if he doesn't get the scholarship :faint:

Hi ladies. Welcome Jena (pronounced Jeana or Jenna?). You'll have a blast! And Liz is a ww superstar, so you can put her in your little pocket.

Kelly/Bella - yaay for heat!

Lisa - Wowza - what great news. Makes the whole sour pill easier to swallow.

Kat - omg you are so right. Cammie is running for 2 miles, I am going to die.

Steph - your pup, So So precious. I love the name Mocha. We are a dog family too.

Liz - I was singing along too. We went to see Annie on stage a couple years ago. Madeline was transfixed. She has Hard Knock Life on her ipod and she belts it out like you wouldn't believe. So funny.

Dawn - thank goodness Treynor gets to go to school.

I am going to be scarce around here for the next two weeks. (or that is the plan). I have TONS to do. TONS. I'll keep you posted.

Oh and Yaay for me, I actually had a date with the treadmill today. (EriKa - do you see this.) And the weight bench. Liz - I put a star on the calendar. Wooooohoooooo.

Hopefully I'll be able to check in later but me and Jack Bauer have a standing date! :)

Hey Ladies!!

Someone has to give me a lesson in multi-quoting! I have caught up from not reading yesterday - my mistake for missing a day! It won't happen again!

I have to work up a system to be able to type here what goes through my mind when I read your posts! There is some very enlightening information - not to mention some very funny stuff!! :rotfl:

Thanks to those of you who responded to my post about having the "perfect day" (food wise). After reading about all of the success you guys have had - and to know that you have "off" days - and sometimes have gains - and feel that you don't do perfectly all the time either - well, that helps ALOT! Thanks!

I have to remember that I have had some success over the last year in losing the 30 pounds I did - and I know I screwed up a lot! So... hopefully my mental block is getting smaller by the day!

I will say that I started on WW today. I have all of the stuff (actually from each year - and "new" program!). So, I figured that would be a great way to start my NEW day! I have a little Post-it on my desk that says "What are you waiting for?!" It has been to ward off my procrastination - today, I couldn't think of anything that would get in the way of me feeling better about myself and getting to where I want to be!

I watched Extreme Home Makeover last night - I always get emotional - last night was no different... Although what I took away was this saying...

Wish It, Believe It, Make It happen! (or something along those lines!) My new Mantra!

Your little group here is an amazing oasis for those of us looking to belong! To be able to sit at the popular table!

I hope each of you have an amazing day! I'm sending each and everyone a  - use it as you see fit!!

:hippie:

Hey babes! Can't believe that I am just getting around to posting and it is like 2pm!

I am just throiwng thisout here cause E - you may be able to give me some suggestions...

Treyner took 2 years of math that his High School course book said were NCAA approved...in fact although the names have changed since 9/10th grade year...it still is showing as of this year as NCAA approved. Now, his counselor and the NCAA website, are saying/showing it is not approved. This could completley screw his chances for playing at Fort Lewis next year.

I had a response all prepared to type out then I saw your follow-up and noticed that it has already been resolved! Great!

Is it strange that I sang along :confused3

Um, not to us. :rotfl2:

Guess what...I have heat!!! :woohoo:
It took him about 10 minutes to fix. Less said about that the better I think!

Finally! So happy for you!

I'm sad but I'll get over it.

The place is up for sale.

 Lisa. I know this must be hard for you and I am sorry. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that an awesome new place comes your way. :goodvibes

HI JENA! Great to have you here! I am training for a tri as well, so join on in! (And I am secretly working on getting Nancy to do one with me, but shhhh, she doesn't know it yet! :rotfl2: )

Liz (SeptemberGirl) is the Goddess of Weight Watchers and has lost 75 pounds on it! I brag about her all the time, can you tell? :lmao: Feel free to ask and fitness and/or WW questions here!

Lyz...treadmill. Noted. :rotfl2: (Again, a PODCAST joke, people!) And I understand about your schedule. You know I am here for you.

STEPH--OMG, that is one cute puppy! I have such a weakness for choclate labs! But in the BED?!?! OMG, never here! :rotfl2: Our little dog is not allowed on any furniture...and she is not even allowed upstairs because that is where the bedrooms are! (Again, my husband is OCD in the extreme.)

As for me....I have been busy. Mostly with working out. You see, like Lisa/PR this week-end really hit me hard. I hated not being at the marathon this week-end. And since I have already READ Twilight, I didn't have that to fall back on! :rotfl2:

So instead, I did my own little version of the Goofy! Yes, I did 39.3 miles in 2 days...thought not all running like the real Goofy.

Sunday - biked 26.2, snowshoe trek for 2 miles, run for 2.1 miles.
Today - 9 mile run. It was a stonker of a run at a SLOW pace (like 11:30 pace, which is about a minute per mile slower than my normal pace, but it has been weeks since I have done a long run, so I had to shift into low gear to get through it).

So, I definitely feel good about that. But it wiped me out, for sure.

Oh, and the run with Cammie (that is my 7 year old daughter, for those new here...on her own, she decided that she wanted to start running with me!), it was a run/walk combo. It is not like she just got out there and ran for 2 miles right out of the gate. But she kept up a GREAT little pace for herself, considering that her legs are so very short. :lovestruc

Ok, more later.

Hey Melissa--

Multi-quoting is a snap. Look in the bottom right hand corner of this post...see the little quotation marks? Just click on it, and it will turn red. Then you click on that symbol for every other post you want to quote and when you go to "reply" then viola! All of the posts you want to quote are there! :goodvibes

Ok, now I have to respond to the rest of this because you said some great stuff!

First, I almost never have a perfect day. OMG, I love to eat! And drink alcoholic beverages. I do eat healthy as a general rule (vegetarian, no fast food, no soda, etc.), but I just eat A LOT. So that is why I am back to tracking right now. And chocolate. Love it.

So please don't ever feel like you have to be perfect around us. OMG, no. So not what we are about.

Extreme Home Makeover--I don't watch it, except for once. When it was done to a house a mile up the road from me. I run by it almost every day on my running route. But our street was all blocked off because it was the "staging area" etc. And I saw Ty (though from a distance), and my good friend's husband did all of the tile work on the house, etc. And for anyone who went within "the perimeter," we had to turn over our cameras (if we had one) and our cell phones, because most of those have a camera on them now as well.

Let me start with:

WELCOME JENA! :cheer2:

Oh and Yaay for me, I actually had a date with the treadmill today. (EriKa - do you see this.) And the weight bench. Liz - I put a star on the calendar. Wooooohoooooo.

A date with the TM. AND the weight bench? A DOUBLE date :rotfl2: Good for you :thumbsup2

Someone has to give me a lesson in multi-quoting!

OMG. I think we were separated at birth :rotfl2:

I am training for a tri as well, so join on in! (And I am secretly working on getting Nancy to do one with me, but shhhh, she doesn't know it yet! :rotfl2: )

:scared1: Only if I get to swim with the little orange "water wings"...or a noodle. Can I use a noodle? :confused3

I have such a weakness for choclate

Me too. Oh wait. You were talking about chocolate LABS. never mind....:rolleyes1

So instead, I did my own little version of the Goofy! Yes, I did 39.3 miles in 2 days...thought not all running like the real Goofy.

Anyone who is shocked, please raise your hands. Anyone? Anyone? :rolleyes1

And chocolate. Love it.

So. I had this really random thought. You, me and Steph all got CHOCOLATE this weekend.

Steph got a chocolate lab
I got a "chocolate" phone
and...You - got a big ol' tin o' sin (thanks Kel - I LOVE that name:lovestruc )

Perfect! I am so far from perfect that it isn't funny. Remember when I put on 25 lbs in 6 months? Yeah, that was the 2nd half of my 2008. Let me tell you, that is a TON of not-perfect days!! :rotfl:

And unlike Erika, my not-perfect days do NOT consists of eating too much healthy food!

As to the multi-quote, what she said.

39.2, not surprised at all. Erika, you are a MACHINE.

Nancy, I so see you doing a tri with a noodle. :lmao:

Hey Kelly, I did your couch to CSI plan last night. Put on a CSI:NY from the DVR and did 30 min on the min-stepper. Ah, Flack. :lovestruc

yup...a puppy...we are getting a golden retriever

Here is our Golden!
ShowEMailImage-1.jpg

Her name is Chloe - her birthday is Christmas Day and she is 7! She's registered - but we got her as a "rescue"... kinda sorta... some "friends" approached us and said - we know how Kevin has always liked Chloe - we are going to sell her, but thought we would let you have a chance first. This was 2006 and they had her since she was a puppy and she was a much coveted birthday present! :scared1: After 4 years you would think Chloe would have been part of the family! They need her pen because they were getting another dog. Okay?!?! So, we paid them $80 (not sure how that was arrived at? What they owed the vet?) And she's OURS!! I wouldn't trade her for anything - well... I might trade her for a non-shedding dog! I swear I have swept up enough hair to make about 10 more dogs!!

At my house there are actually 3 dogs and 7 cats! I mentioned before that we bought my parents house this past year and we all live there together - well, we had two dogs (Chloe and a mini-doxie - Spencer) -
Spencer.jpg
(This is a bad picture - only one I had here at work - it look like he's wearing his ANGRY EYES!!) and 3 cats! Mom and Dad had one dog, and 4 cats! So, now, we are just one big happy ANIMAL family!
