In Search of my Body...Not The One I Ate.. #4 "Inspiring Others... 1 Tiara at a Time"

And the nice thing is, i actually feel really great today, it was a good day. Nothing particularly special happened, but i just feel good, so thats a plus :goodvibes

I sometimes think this is the best part of the whole "healthy living" thing -- you feel so much better. :cutie:

GOOD MORNING!I have tracked everyday, I have drank my water everyday, I have not killed any in-laws - so far so good on the challenge!

Cool that you didn't kill them -- maybe you could just rough 'em up a little? :lmao:

Back to filing hades for me. It should be done soon (I hope).

Still filing? You poor woman!!! I hope it's over soon.

I need to get my skates sharpened and want to at least log 30 min or so on them before the game Fri night. This is proving to be a difficult logistical thing as none of the rinks have weeknight skates, and I have a haircut appt at noon tomorrow. I may wind up doing an 8:15 open hockey practice tomorrow morning, which means leaving the house at 7:30AM... :scared:

I am so excited for you, Kat! Have a great time at the tournament! :thumbsup2

Things are going well here. Weather has been beautiful, which always gives me a little more energy. I did my aerobics class last night, so check on the exercise. And I did not have a glass of wine, even though my mean evil husband had one. I'm going to do the 30 day shred tonight -- gotta keep doing that stinkin' thing until I can do the overhead presses without dying (of course that means I may be doing them until I'm 65, but whatever....).

Have a great day! :flower3:

Are you on level 1 or 2? I am on level one and the only thing I have a real problem with is the push ups. I have like no upper body strength... Keep at it! Supposedly it gets easier  haha!

I tend to let things pile up and as if that weren't bad enough, I have been moving files around, dead filing, etc. It is so not fun. One more day and I should be good for a while.

Glad you are feeling better. It is in the 50's today and I so have spring fever now. I want the nice weather like now...

Lisa Z - I am going to try the shred this weekend in place of my training session since I am travelling. I absolutely hate my shoulder presses since I have very little strength in my shoulders. Thanks for the warning on those...

Sarah - keep at the pushups. They do get easier in time. I could barely do 8 when I started and can now do three sets of 15 from the floor (and yes, on my knees). I am dreading the day when Jesse tells me to get off my knees and do the traditional ones. That is not going to be a fun experience.

Enjoy the rest of the day,
Paula

Go you!! You are rockin the workouts!!! I keep trying but even on my knees they are rough. I am not sure even how many I can do because with the Shred dvd I am so focused on doing them I don't count and she doesn't count you off. Maybe next time I do Shred on Thursday I will count.

I'm on Level 1. That's why I asked yesterday what weights you were using.....by the second round of squats into overhead presses, the 5 lb weights feel like bowling balls. :rotfl: I'm able to do the pushups straight through.

(my husband, after explaining that he was in much better shape than me because he does weights at the Y, tried to do level 1 the other day using 8 lb weights -- let's just say I had to control myself when I saw the look on his face :lmao: )

I'm finding the Shred really interesting. I've been doing cardio forever so my endurance is fine, but this workout is pointing toward a need to focus on strength training. I need to get a lot stronger.

As a result, I'm making my aerobics class do a lot more compound weight moves (like Jillian's stuff) and pushups. They are not pleased. :cutie:

I only use 3 lb weights. I did it once with 5 lbers and only made it half way before switching. Kudos to you!

The board has been kinda quiet today. :confused3 <yawns> is everyone else napping like I was? :cloud9:

So true! It makes a huge difference in my attitude, which in turn has a positive effect on my program- it's a GOOD cycle :thumbsup2

Stick with it Sarah. Your body is indeed getting stronger every time you do it. (where's the bicep flexing smiley? We totally need one of those! )

Me too! It was in the low 50's here this afternoon, and the sun was shining. :sunny: I opened the french door in my family room to get some fresh air. It was wonderful :cloud9:

I am dreading the day when Jesse tells me to get off my knees and do the traditional ones. That is not going to be a fun experience.

I bet you'll surprise yourself, Paula. And what a wonderful moment that will be! :worship:

Nah, it was like 68 here and sunny. Also, you live there because the weather is nice. So why shouldn't it be nice 24/7? You're getting you know what when it's not.

I agree... They should make one!!!

So y'all are going to hate me when I say it was 74 today right?

I will hate you for that! Its like 60 degrees in ARIZONA!! *** CHUCK! Its supposed to be like 75 here in the winter. There is snow on the mountains that are about an hour from me!

:rotfl: :lmao: Too funny Lisa. Too funny.

Today was Em's Valentine's Party. So she came home with these projects she did. One was a book. She's four, if you're keeping track at home.

Page one, My Daddy likes to Ice Skate.

Page two, My mommy likes to work, with a stick figure me with a laptop in front of me.

Page three, I like to Ice Skate with my Daddy.

So much for the loving, nurturing SAHM thing, huh? :rotfl:

Also, why must the Wii Fit make me fat around the middle? Why can't it make me fat where I AM fat?

Cute.

Down with the Wii Fit. That tiny little waist! ?!?!? WTH? How could it? Blasphemy for sure.

Oh my little Twilight obsessed people. One, I haven't even started. :rolleyes1 Two, our ETalk ( Canadian Access Hollywood) had a segment on the Vancouver open casting call for New Moon on yesterday.

Amy!! The interview - so exciting that it was full of nice suprises. Nice.

Kat - 40 push ups. Wow eeee! I was down on myself with some envy. But I constantly have to remind myself that with all weight bearing exercises I have to actually lift MY weight. :lmao: ;)

Good for you Kat.:lovestruc That is a nice feeling to conquer the class, eh?

I have American Idol on. Please please say that dramatic girly is going tonight. She's something.

I have to tell you Canadian Idol is good. But we don't have quite as many crazies. We have them of course - but not quite the quantity. :lmao:

LOL! I was in my 200s when I made mine and I looked like Violet Beauregard from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory after she turned into a blueberry!! :scared1:

Just finished Cardio Max. I forgot how tough that workout is! Oh well! Another day another workout!
