Well, I thought you'd figure it out! I'm pregnant.

You scared the crap out of me![]()
Nancy you are on fire! Cracking me up! And I just don't have the energy to explain the buddy list. You've been here since like 2001!
We are going to get together on Saturday morning for coffee and to see what happens. Pictures have been exchanged and so far we both like what we see so keep your fingers crossed that the chemistry is there.
Well dinner was great... Got suckered in to going to San Diego on the 20th through the 21st... My best friend is in an organization called Job's Daughters (I was a part of it too at one point) and she is having a reception also her bf is proposing!! I sold him the diamond... hehe! So both want me out there for different reasons and she doesn't know yet that she is getting proposed to! It will be great!
Lyz/Sarah--the coyotes are not a big deal. We live in the woods, so they are way, way back there and never come out during the day...only at night.
Huh. Who knewGuess I'll have to look into that, now won't I

Sounds like fun! Enjoy![]()
We have 'em too. Sit right at the top of our hill and howl. It can be kinda creepy. Amazingly, they don't bother the goats at all.![]()
Had my "session" this morning.Tested a new pair of running shoes
and now I've gotta go to work! Catch you all later this afternoon!
Paula, that is great. As far as clothes, I was reading in a magazine JUST this week. When meeting someone for the first time, wear what you'd normally wear. If it's jeans and flats, wear that. If you wear something you don't normally, you'll be uncomfortable and give off a false impression.
EriKa - hahahaha - Amy is going to be stealing off of you.
You just crack me up....![]()
um hello... I am the one waking the thread up this morning.... What is up with that?
Wakey wakey people... time to get up and head out into this wonderful cold weather that I think we are stuck in (even poor Amy in Florida is frigid this morning).
Make today a good one and make good choices.
Paula
Morning!
Lyz/Sarah--the coyotes are not a big deal. We live in the woods, so they are way, way back there and never come out during the day...only at night.
Lyz--I know! I can believe Amy isn't here yet to see it!
Paula--SO exciting. I can't wait to hear all about it. You will post here first, right? No calling Donna or anyone else. Us first, m-kay?
FREEZING here today. -15 or something awful earlier and just now heading toward 0. It is a non-running day for me, so at least that is something. I will definitely bike, and not yet sure about the pool. In order to swim, I have to join the Y. Which I don't want to do. I already have a gym membership and the Y just plain ol' skeeves me out!
I agree with Lyz. Comfortable, stylish, something that you feel good in.
Wow, good almost afternoon everyone. I am just so unable to keep up. I spent so much time reading in between trying to work, the day is nearly gone.
David started pee wee hockey last night. How cute in all of his pads!! He did really well after initially being really discouraged about falling all the time. So, back we go tonight for evening #2 of freezing the bejeezus out of ourselves supporting my little trooper at the outdoor rink!!
Paula, the girls are doing well. They do their typical teen rolly eye and noise when I up their weights or switch something up for them because it is looking too easy. Shelby is now benching and military pressing with the bar and some added weight because the machines are giving her a false sense. She does the one arm up before the other thing and it is far more obvious now. I love machines for their ease but you cannot beat free weights for their honesty in your progress.
Kat, Shelby would play hockey except that her BFF has been playing since she was 4 and Shelby is slightly intimidated. I am working on getting her out on the ice with her brother since she has all the gear in her field hockey goalie bag.
Erika, cold enough yet? I am going XC skiing in about 1.5 hours. Thankfully we have left the minus zone up here. When Mike left this morning at 3, it was -18 and wind howling. Again, glad to NOT have his job.
Everyone else, just a big wave from me. I am trying, really I am.
Right now, I am VERY frustrated with myself. My weight is going down but I did my body fat yesterday and it is 29%. Nauseating to myself. I should be down in the low to mid 20s right now. Clearly I need to change things up. Sad when you fit into a size 2 and you have body fat in the coronary risk stage. I also found a show called The Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp and I really like it. Kind of Biggest Loserish but only 1 person and not all the drama mixed in (unless you count rebellion as drama).
So anyway, I am headed out for 4 miles skiing this afternoon and then some core before dinner and hockey. Tomorrow is weigh in and I am looking like thisat the scales. Now instead of scale sanity I have developed scale anxiety!!

Lisa--yes, we are finally above zero as well. Holy crap about the outdoor rink! You are definitely braver than I am. I'll run in this and snowshoe...but I want sit around watching anythng! Yikes!
Tell me about the boot camp show. Is it On Demand? Or something else? I want it!
Kat--the Y here underwent a rehab recently, but it is still skeevy to me. Like resorts, I am a gym snob! (Remember when I was all bent out of shape at a MODERATE?) Plus, last year my dad got a NASTY staph infection from the locker room at the Y. Ga-ross! And for classes you end up doing those in a big ol gym basketball court or something. Again, no thanks. If I am going to do aerobics or pilates or whatever, I want an appropriate room. (See? Snobbery. I own it. Whatev.) And yes, it IS expensive. Can be a good deal if you get a whole family membership (as it is only a few dollars more than an individual adult membership), but my kids won't use it. We have our pool club (snob effect, yet again) so they don't need that. And they are already on all of their sports teams and in activities, so they wouldn't use that part of the Y either. And it is 20 minutes away to boot.
BUT, the Y is the only place in the county with a full length pool. Our pool club is tiny...especially the indoor pool. Even all of the local HS swim teams practice there. So, if I want to swim it is my only option. And can you tell that I am not happy about it?
Ok, back to work. Then off to the bike.

Well here I am again... Seems like I am bad about being a regular here... LOL... Where to start... Well from the time I went to Disneyland in Oct/November until January 1st I gained about 20 lbs!!! I couldn't believe it but I know I ate well... lol... Holidays were tough... It was my first holiday without my dad, work is still stressing me out and my mom put her dog down... The last was the real kicker... We got Max when I was in 8th grade and he helped my mom through the past 6 months... She put him down the week of Xmas because he had a torn rectal wall and the surgery was going to cost 4000 bucks and wasn't guaranteed to fix everything. He was 11 and a very good dog. By the way did anyone I sent Xmas cards to get them?
Now to the present... I'm mostly back on track... started working out this week... gained half a lb this morning and flipped.... I hate working out hard and eating well then gaining... I've since calmed myself...

DH and I decided that in May we are doing a 5k for the Zoo here! We are going to start getting ready on the 16th which is when he goes back to DAYS!!!! Thats right in less than 2 weeks I will no longer have the stupid hellish sleep schedule...We also have gone hiking the past 2 weekends (won't this weekend because of weather) and plan to continue to hike every weekend. I will put pics up if anyone wants to see.
I decided after talking to Kat that I should also have some monthly goals... They are as follows:
1. Work out at least 3 days a week.
2. Hike at least once a week (weather and husband permitting)
3. Not beat myself up for falling off the wagon and not let it derail the rest of my week.
4. Drink at least 10 cups of water a day.
5. Cheat only once a week... not the whole weekend.
I think that should be about all for now... I am kind of at a loss as to what else to tell ya...
My name is Heather. I am 5' 2" and I weigh 138 lbs. I have been married to a sailor for eight years. We have a 6 year old (he will be 7 on the 28th!) and a 4 year old daughter. We live in San Antonio right now. Anything I am leaving out??
Kelly - if I could afford the airfare I would come and stalk you. A visit to the UK would be lovely.
Just curious, that's me.
Yaay for the 14's!!!! I don't understand. I don't want my bummocks! I'm all bummocks!
KELLY--thank you so much for sharing your story. I really appreciate that you have enough trust in this group to tell us something that you have never before told anyone other than your mom.You are making SUCH great progress!
LisaV - this one is for you...
The phone call went well. We are meeting on Saturday morning for coffee (well, tea for me). Now I have two days to stress about what to wear... Where's Liz?
Paula
I get my hair cut at a hairdressing school in the city. Aveda Institute. Aveda is international, right?
Anyway, it's great. There are two levels - the academy and the institure (which is the beginners). Today I was upstairs with the beginners. $18 buckaroos!!!!!
And I find the whole process, teacher guiding them, so flippin' fascinating. So it's like I'm entertained as well.
