In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Ok - that last post was a really hard post for me...hard to focus. VERY hard. I'm an emotional nutcase right now!

I'm happy, I'm sad. I'm excited, and nervous. I'm relieved and scared. I'm elated and devestated.

WHY?

This is why.

The letter came in the mail today. The long anticipated letter. You know...the BIG envelope, not the dreaded small one.

Yes - he did it. My son was accepted at Norwich University.

(although, we are still waiting on the Army ROTC stuff - if the $$$ doesn't come thru, I don't know WHAT we are going to do....:scared: )

WHOO-HOO!!!! Yay!!! So excited for you all!!! :cool1:

It's so awesome to get those letters!

Yaay!!! How exciting is that! At least you can tell us.

:I don't know what cheese curds really are. In Quebec - they are white and irregular shape and squeak. :lmao: And have to be eaten quickly.

If they have to be eaten quickly, I say run.

Still digesting...lots of thoughts, lots of feelings....lots of things. :rolleyes1 Will discuss that *stuff* later....

But yes. Norwich is his first choice. He's thrilled. Obviously

Dawn - it's in Vermont. Cold, snowy, mountainous...;)

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: You are so flippin' funny.

So (not to be totally stupid here...) but when I talk about "cheese curd"...that's the solid part of the cheese making process, vs. the whey which is the watery liquid that gets poured off. Think of cottage cheese. Cottage cheese is basically cheese curd in a milk/cream. Are you talking about solid chunks of a white, plain, "un-cured" cheese?

Cause THEM I love  My SIL makes the BEST goat milk cheese curd. OMG. I just eat it with a spoon....

Yep rubbery.

Yes, that's why they have to eaten as soon as possible right? Because they are not cured? Ie. must be fresh. I don't know. You're educating me. I don't like cottage cheese at all. But feel different about these. Although I only eat then once every two thousand years in Quebec - in poutine - so I can feel all connected to my university roots.

Do they squeak? :lmao:

Okay,

I just looked somehing up. Apparently, the US variety can be more orange/yellow. These are definitely white. The ones I've digested.

EDIT: New York/Quebec/Ontario - white - as in from white cheddar

Rest of US - orange/yellow - from regular cheddar

I like white cheddar better than yellow cheddar. And the sharper, the better. And goat cheese... mmm. Nancy, I would totally do your website for free in exchange for goat cheese.

Wow, what a day. I am finally getting a moment to breathe. We had a big demo today so the place was just craziness, and then after lunch D called and said hey, did you charge something on our debit card to Yahoo? The answer was, umm... NO. So, called the bank, had the card cancelled and reissued w/ new number, then called Yahoo billing and was like, WTH? Thankfully they had already flagged the charges as unauthorized and were in the process of refunding the money and going after the guy. The customer service person was glad I had already cancelled the card. So, crisis averted... but now I get to go and update some autopaid bills, whee.

And in the good news category, my wireless bill went down. Yay! And gas is $1.87 here!

Nancy, nooooo. Don't join them.

Too late. I have a container of them in my fridge...

Yep rubbery.

No, they don't squeak....and they are white. She makes it with goat milk. Now I'm going to have to find out from her if we are talking about the same thing....

Ok - off to drama club. Catch ya later

For the love of all that's good in this world, can we stop talking about cheese curd? CHEESE CURD is GOOD? Omg, next you'll be telling me you hate Vera Bradley. :rotfl2:

Even if you do, just don't tell me, okay? ;)

Nancy, again so excited!

Lisa, just not on board with this Frenchie Canadian food. But still love you!

Lyz, when you said "on top" I thought of ANTM. "Wanna be on top..."

I bought a new VB for the trip. Mini hipster in Yellow Bird. And new pj's. Because cute pj's are a must!

Oh, and weighed in. Up 1.2. Not bad, seeing as I lost so much last week. But still. The fat, it had better watch its back. I'm coming after it. Paula, can I borrow your angry eyes?

Also, I am 9.4 from goal. I need to shut up about the whining. I can do this! I have to be grateful for what I have done!

That's what I decided. Oh, and I also spent the day feeling bad about the economy, my child's wish for a sibling, that it's a bad time to have a baby, and do I even want one anyway, should I give away Em's baby stuff...

Crazy Town, pop. 1

If i see the words "cheese curd" one more time i think i'm gonna yak....

It's another cold frozen day out.. thats no fun. I'm trying to get my lazy butt up out of this chair to go work out, but my dog ate my headphones, so i have no music, oh yea, and did i mention i was lazy??? I'm so lame today

Kat - i'm glad you caught that renegade charge early, Bruce had someone open a Discover card in his name once, Discover sent one of those "preapproved" offers to an old school address and the little punk living there decided he was going to open a card and go on a spending spree :scared1:

Don't make me come there tear off your arm and hit you with it!!! - Jillian Micheals.

Or something like that!!!

It's snowing finally. Well, it's stopped. But a start. Yeah! Sorry Stacey. Does your husband hate snow too? Curious why you don't move.

And most Canadians, a lot, hate snow and complain about winter too.

I just happen to like snow.

Lisa -

1 - we don't move b/c all of our close family is in new york (this isn't actually as bad as it could be, his family lives up in the Adirondacks!)

2 - i actually LOVE the snow, however i HATE driving in it, and since i have to drive everyday....welll.... boo for snow:goodvibes
