In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

OMG, no, of course I do not have that accent. It is dreadful.

As for the gyno...it isn't like I haven't been to my regular doc and had an exam and testing. I have had cervical cancer testing 3x in the last 5 years...so I am covered on the big stuff. It is really just a time issue more than anything.

Before I said that I hadn't been since Kelly's 6 week post-partum appt. That isn't true. I didn't GO to that appt! Why? Because I had a 3 year old, a 1.5 year old, and a newborn! I didn't go ANYWHERE for like a year. And when I finally did start going places, I had a ton of stuff to catch up on. So it just sort of got away from me, you know?

Plus, I never get sick. I rarely have need to a doctor of any sort, so it just doesn't happen. Jeff has been fixed, so I don't get worried about getting knocked up (other than that little panic I had a few months ago...:rotfl2: ...and even then I knew it was nothing). So, I will get there eventually.

In the mean time, my GP is SMOKIN' HOT! OMG, he could totally be on TV on one of those doctor shows. (Now, I have always had women for both my GP and my gyno. But my GP moved and this guy took her place at the practice. And once I saw him...there was NO WAY I was gonna switch). Best part of having a male doc is that when I go for a check-up he has to feel me up! :lmao:

And don't get me started on my orthopedist! He is hotter than Dr. McCutie. OMG, I flirt shamelessly with him. In fact, it may be about time to have my knee checked on again...;)

Morning. Wow. Busy, busy day. Hope to check in later. Just waking up the thread. :goodvibes

Good Morning everyone....

Time to wakey wakey....

OK - so what is one thing that we are going to do for ourselves today???

so - what are you all going to do for yourselves today???

Have a magical day!!!!
Paula

and yes, I realize that I am way to chipper this morning.... not quite sure why, but I woke up this morning with a ton of energy... I think because its Friday...

:rotfl: You are something else!!!!

I am off to church for Bible Study. Thank heavans. They haven't done anything for the young adult women for 2 years. I need all the help I can get! And Paula, this is for me today.

I'll check in later.

The ice. Well, the princess owie pack helped, so yesterday I bought an ice bag, filled er up and iced my knee. Once in the evening, then in bed, before I got to my, need to turn over comfortable spot. I jumped out of bed this morning and my knee wasn't stiff and I didn't holler in pain. I am really just shocked. I've been going to heat and it was all wrong. Thanks for setting me straight guys.

Yeah Sam's Ortho is cute to but he is an a$$, I know these things because I work in a hospital and I hear all the dirty gossip! I swear it's just like working on Grey's! There are some dacotors that I will just stop at and stare at because they are so darn cute! There is a new one and I asked one of the RN's the other day whats his specialty because I think I am coming down with something he specializes in! LOL:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Would I stear you WRONG ICE for three days and then try the heat! Ice will reduce the swelling heat made it worse! Just like when kids get a shot and they get that big bunch under their skin heat that it will disperse it! AHH medical knowledge sometimes it grand!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok off to go help a friend put her patio furniture away! Then to work an early night tonight I only work till 8 even though they have already called me to work till 11 I said "NO" no excuses just NO!

Let's just say I'm living through you this morning. Good for you for flirting. I unfortunately would turn 12. :lmao:

Hi everyone,

I just had my BL weigh in. Thank God I do waist measurements every week. I'm weirdly up two pounds and down a full inch on my waist. Whatever.

I hate the scale. I added a stretching/pilates/ballet type back into my rotation about three weeks ago. And I always do six days on and two days off with exercising when I'm in weigh loss mode. I added it in on heavy rotation so it meant that my aerobic time got lessened.

So I bet there is good and bad. The program is fantastic. An inch on my waist is huge. I'm like a thick ruler. So that's the good. But of course your body absolutely gets used to what you do with food and exercise and it probably wants some more aerobic time back. So what to do? I don't know.

But I have to be very strict on my exercise because all this weight has come off from that. It's my thing. Food I just try to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. And it's worked perfectly. And this week wasn't any different.

So back to the drawing board trying to reinstate some of my DVDs and intervals.

Okay blabbering,

Lisa

Good Morning all but in the words of Eeyore... Good Morning, if it is a good morning which I doubt... The only thing I can say positively is that my weight is down 2.8 lbs this week... Thats 7.2 lbs for the challenge which means I met my goal of 7 lbs... Other than that things could be much much better... I know I should just get over it and move on and count my blessings that I still even HAVE a job... I am going to eventually going to get out of my funk... In other news my walk is tomorrow! Anywho gotta get to work... *grumbles*

Actually,

You've just brought me back a lovely doctor memory that I probably pushed out for good reasons. I had this doctor for about - geez at least nine months. Maybe more. He was a kidney specialist. I was fine. It wasn't me. Long story.

Anyway, because you have to do every test under the sun. It was agony for me to be around him so much. It was just as I was changing my thoughts on men. He was young. He was cute. And he was continually prodding everything. Everything under the sun had to be checked to make sure I was healthy 100%.

So everything was agony for me. Attraction and prodding. Not a good one for me.

Anyway I had to wear a blood pressure monitor for a day or couple of days. And the nurses told me, or he did and I've blocked that out, that you can't have sex. Nothing you can't do anything to make false readings. And over and over my readings would come up high in the night. And they'd send me back to square one excusing me of making the readings fly. And I'd say "no" over and over - I didn't do anything. How incredibly embarassing to have these conversations.

And they just passed me in the end because it was normal all day long but I don't think it ever went down overnight. Now I'm wondering if I was dreaming about the doctor!!!:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Nice memories around some not so nice. Thanks. Refreshing. Totally refreshing.

Sorry about work Sarah. It is frustrating. Sorry.

But....

Congratulations on your week. Fantastic. That's so wonderful. I know you've been working very hard on the exercising. Good for you.

It made my day to read good news on the scale for you. Yeah!!

Oh and have a good walk Sarah. That came fast. Will be thinking about you.

Hey, it's my Poppa's birthday. He's seventy three and still seems so young. Just thinking outloud. Again.

Stupidly,

I went back on the scale. Now I'm only up .5 for the week!!! What the heck. I so hate it.

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

I can't wait until the BL ends. I'm only doing the scale once a month. I never went on with all my weight loss and for my head, and my lovely head only, it works much better.

Erika - I smiled at at you last night. Someone on Grey's Anatomy talked about someone being a certain kind of crazy. Yes, I am. Yeah!!!:rotfl:

Thanks! I've been trying really hard so seeing a good weight loss makes it worthwhile... I am finding that 30 Day Shred level 1 is getting slightly easier... The pushups are still a bit tough but I hardly stop now... Either I am going to try moving to Level 2 next week sometime or start using 5 lb hand weights instead of 3 lb... Thoughts?

I did my thing for myself last night... fondue and martinis. :) Girls night out was a LOT of fun.

Today, I am having a good hair day. I had one last night too, well, the same one since I washed/flatironed it last night after work. I did take a pic last night so I might share at some point....

Lyz, glad your knee is feeling better.

Lisa, you are a nut! Love it! :yay:

E, my voice is NOT soft and sweet. Just sayin'.

Hey Ladies!

Re: 30 day shred, what do you need to use it? Weights? I know I could just google it, but why so that when there are total shred experts right here?

I broke my own once a week rule again ( about the scale). I "felt" skinnier this morning. I was in fact down another pound. So I am now 4/4 for the challenge. I am setting a mini goal of another 2 pounds by next friday, in time for TOT. That will bring me below 190. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I am off to buy new running shoes. I am trying to be super careful about purchases now, but I've got to have the shoes. The ones I have are 7 months old. I did find a 15 dollar off 100 dollars, so that's pretty good.

Lisa Scales are totally psycho.

Kat :woohoo: for girls night out. I am hoping for a girls weekend in west palm in a few weeks to visit an old coworker.

Sarah GL with your walk tomorrow! I definitely feel your pain about the job stuff. It sucks.

Erika So lucky to have hottie doctors!!

Stephanie My family sure would love it if I moved back up there!!! The thought of having to buy winter clothes though makes me shudder. I will be getting back into the clinical lab in some capacity. I am hoping that with my experience as a med tech and my masters degree, I might be able to get in as a senior tech. I loved blood bank. We had people who would use like 80 units of blood!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Talk about excitement.

Lyz Glad the ice is helping. I used to always go to heat as well.

Paula Your plans sound good for today. I am going to get my new shoes and continue the purge of too big clothes from my closet.

E, my voice is NOT soft and sweet. Just sayin'.

But it SO is! Sweet with a Southern lilt. Ask Liz, she'll confirm. :rotfl2:

GREAT job on the loss Amy! WOO HOO! And I am psyched to hear about the ToT race. We will just miss it. Right in between ToT and Race for the Taste, so no Disney race for us this time.

About the shoes...do you know about the WISH team discount (and this is for everyone here). If you know what make, model, and size you need, you can order from runningwarehouse.com and you can get 15% off plus free shipping as a member of the WISH racing team. You just enter the word WISH in the code box. :goodvibes

it looks like I am getting a 400 dollar a month pay decrease... So now at work I've been forced into a job I hate and I'm making less... Great day...
Soo sorry - hope you can find a place that you like and they appreciate you...

J/K - I only get poked with needles when I go...so you and E have me jealous...:yay:
