In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Hey Erika just texted
she is on her way HOME! she is sad that vacation is over! she expects to be online tonight!
Have a safe journey home !

The election is over, the friends have departed, and I am up 6.2 lbs from all my celebrating and partying. Yes, I weighed in. It was ugly!

But moving on - it's our exercise challenge week!

Ok, friends, we can do this!

So, correct me if I am wrong, but...

1. We are all posting out food every day
2. We are all posting out exercise
3. We are all trying to get to a regular exercise schedule and tracking

So since this is week one, let's make it small. Exercise 2 times this week. How's that? Too small? For you exercisers, you are focusing on tracking, tracking, tracking. Us trackers are focusing on moving.

Also, my friend Val from WW is reading us, so please welcome here when she pops in to say hi later today! Welcome Val!!! She is an awesome person and a totally motivational loser!!!

:goodvibes

Hey ladies. Guess who woke up with a massive headache this morning???:rolleyes1

Hope everyone is having a good day. Just got back from some outlet shopping. Found stuff at children's place and osh kosh for super cheap. The clothes portion of DD's xmas gifts is done. Although she'll be wearing alot of this stuff before then. Found myself 2 long sleeve UA shirts for running when it is cool.

I was super excited to get home and find that the twilight soundtrack and movie full color book had arrived from amazon. Also got these for my niece for xmas, so I've got the first of my xmas gifts all set!!:yay:

Will post my food later.

I have had a headache all day. Doesn't really feel like an "excess fermented grape" headache....more like a stress/tension headache. :headache: Either way - it's not makin' me happy! :sad2:

Me three. And the gloomy, rainy day mirrors my mood.

an Eeyore kinda day. :eeyore: It's not raining here - yet - but it has been cloudy and blah.

Post-Vacation let-down...never fun. But we'll be happy to have her back! :flower3:

WHOOPS! :scared: Oh well - back on the wagon. It's ok to have fun now and then, right? That's why we work so hard the rest of the time. :goodvibes

HI VAL! :wave2:

Mine was definitely an excess fermented something headache. :rolleyes1 It's rather unfortunate that the blueberry 8% beer goes down like water..:rolleyes1

Hi guys...

Baylor and I had a pretty good day today...he is usually the quiet one so I am learning lots about him...and he told me today all about his philosophy on the presidential debate...including his thoughts that Bush has been on drugs for 8 years...:lmao:

Now this is from a kid on a oxycodone high at the time so it was pretty funny because he was feeling loopy and talking in huge words and saying he should be a political analyst because he can tell the way the candidates really are...he liked "Mr Mack Cane" because he looked like an honest guy but he could tell he was annoyed by the lady he had to pick for vice president because she talked too much and was not quiet like his wife.:rotfl2:

He is going to try and go to school tom. for 1/2 a day...we shall see how that goes...Treyner is being his physical therapist and not letting him get away with wimping out...I told him he was being pretty good at it...showing Baylor his range of flexability in his good foot versus his burnt one so he can gague his progress and where he should be at when his pain is telling him to stop...then I heard Treyner getting frusterated with him...told him to "suck it up and stop being a pu$$y" and then Baylor told him to drop dead #*&%$#...but when I peeked in...he had Baylor doing more than what I can get him to do...so although I doubt that sort of doctoring would be taught at most med schools...it helped Baylor and he wants to please Treyner so I am going to let them two hammer it out...when crutches start swinging I will intervine...:3dglasses maybe...sometimes Treyner deserves it! He is a tough love brother for sure and carries Baylor to and from the car etc...but when it comes to rehab/working out...it's balls to the wall with Treyner...

I need to know what you guys want to do with Raglands...do we want to have cake for Treyner's B-day??? We will be going God willing and I just need to order it soon....

Val - welcome...:)

Food today
B- nada
Lunch - chicken casserole
D - beef tips and chow mein noodles - grilled veggies

At a coffee shop now and enoying a pomegranite/mango smoothie...no alchohol through this all and so for me this is a victory...:yay:

K- here's my daily log...

Exercise -

Admittedly it was kind of a lame workout....I was still a bit groggy from last nights wine consumption - I did no cardio, all strength work focusing on back, chest & shoulders...about 45 minutes total.

FOOD:

B - kashi go lean, dried blueberries, 1% milk
Sn - yogurt/banana/protein powder smoothie
L - salad with 3 oz. chicken breast, dried cranberries, ff rasp. ving; fiber one bar
Sn - 1/2 c. lowfat cottage cheese, 6 triscuits
D - 3 oz pork chop, 1/2 c. stuffing, steamed broccoli, roasted asparagus

Dessert - I just had a small sliver of a chocolate & peanut butter cake that some of my 4H kids surprised me with tonight. They are such awesome kiddos!

All in all, not bad. Definitely not enough water today - perhaps that's part of my headache issue - although one of my friends was just telling me that she has had a headache for several days now - maybe there is a *thing* going around? :confused3 I dunno - sounds better than "maybe I drank too much and am dehydrated" doesn't it

okey dokey - I need to do some costuming work tonight...

Baylor and I had a pretty good day today...

So glad to hear things are improving, Dawn! I know it's going to be a long road...but sounds like you have at least begun the trip! :goodvibes

LOVE Baylors sense of humor! I have found that the kids have had a lot of interesting, and insightful observations thru this political process. I can't say that I've *agreed* with all of the analysis that I've heard from them, but I am SO glad that they seem to be taking a real interest. By the time the next president is elected 2 of my kids will be eligible to vote :scared1: so it's nice to know they are at least paying attention! :thumbsup2

I'm baaaa-aaaack.

Hey team! Yes, having post-vacation depression. Yuck. But on the way home J said that he thought this was our best family vacation to date. And he made a point to thank me for doing everything for the vacation. He acknowledged that all he has to do is show up. So that is a bonus right there.

So, you all know about the Disney portion of the vacation, and eventually I post the rest of the trip report about Club Med....which was also awesome but in a totally different way. If you have never been to a Club Med, it is an experience. There is this whole Club Med Culture that we didn't know about, so at first we were really put off and like WTH?!?!? But once we got on board we totally freaking loved it.

Anyway, here are just a couple of photos to hold you over until I can write up the report. You can see how high the trapeze is here...and here are the kids on it. No, they don't lower it for them...same height for the kids and adults...and the professionals.

The resort was EMPTY. There might have been 10 families there total. It was so great...we just got tons of attention and every need met, etc. But again, those details will follow...

PS - Dawn, glad to hear that Baylor is making progress... even if he does have to yell at his brother to get there...

DAWN--hope Bay is on the mend. Yikes--burns are the absolute worst if you ask me. I'd take a broken bone over a serious burn any day.

STEPH--I am psyched that you voted. But why was this the first time?

NANCY--love that you are posting all over the place! And OMG, have I been laughing about your alcohol consumption! And yes, TOTALLY annoyed when J double- backs for me. Aargh. You just do your run and I will do mine.

I did not track while at Club Med. I ate a bit too much (but did very well considering), but the drinking. OMG. I easily had 12 drinks a day, plus wine with dinner. It was just non-stop. But I exercised every day. Quite a bit.

Remember when I won a Disney cruise?!?! Was that really only a week ago?

VAL--welcome! If you are friends with Liz, then you will fit in just fine around here! Can't wait to meet you!

Hi all...

Is it Friday yet??? This week is kicking my butt at work so I can't wait for it to be over...

I am SO out of whack! The kids had the day off yesterday (schools as polling locations) - felt like Sunday to me....so today has been like MONDAY. :headache: One Monday a week is bad enough...this week had TWO!

on the plus side, my back is feeling better and I made it to the pool tonight yeah!!!!

That IS good news! :goodvibes

NANCY--love that you are posting all over the place!

eh - just filling in for you while you were away! ;) and Welcome Home! pixiedust:

And OMG, have I been laughing about your alcohol consumption!

I am my own worst influence! God, do I hope my kids take after their father! :rotfl2:

I did not track while at Club Med. I ate a bit too much (but did very well considering), but the drinking. OMG. I easily had 12 drinks a day, plus wine with dinner.

:faint: I don't think I could keep up that pace for very long...:crazy2:

gotta get some sleep - so hopefully I can kick this headache...

STEPH--I am psyched that you voted. But why was this the first time?
?? I guess I didn't care to much about it! I registered to vote when clinton got elected the first time and them umm probably wasn't the second time I was for the last election and I figured why bother because my VOte didn't count! But this year I figured NO my VOTE WILL COUNT so I voted!

Here I am, waking up the thread once again!

Kids got off to school, but it was painful! Oh, they are so tired even though they got to bed early last night.

J is home today and tomorrow to catch up on work around the house, but he woke up feeling terrible.

I am supposed to run today, but the fatigue! Yikes! May ride instead.

Morning ladies and Dan quick a quick HELLO before I bring the kids to school!
I will be on later for a proper post!

hey ladies...I had hoped to make it back on here last night, but I fell asleep at 8pm....

Food yesterday:
B-skinny iced latte
L-Chinese at the outlet food court
D-Grilled chicken, small amount of rice
Drinks: diet pepsi, Diet dew, lots of water and G2 ( still not rehydrated from election night drinking..Mental note to self: drinking FIVE 8% beers is too many :rolleyes1 )

Exercise-just walking around the outlets.

I am getting kind of off track with my 1/2 training. While I am getting the runs in, I am slacking on the XT. Today I plan to double up to get back on track so I will do an easy run and pilates. Tomorrow I will be doing my LR on the TM. not thrilled about this AT ALL, but it won't get done this week otherwise. I usually do them on the weekends, but my plans for the next 2 weekends make that impossible, so I must do them friday AM.

Erika, glad you made it back safely and that you had fun. Can't wait to hear more.

Dawn, thanks for the update. So glad to hear Baylor is feeling a bit better.

 to everyone

Hey all!

Baylor - Dawn so glad things are looking up. Treynor sounds like he's doing great with Baylor and Baylor sounds amusing.

E - glad you are back to being regular. Missed knowing you were available. Can't wait to hear more. The trapeeze looks amazing and scary.

Liz - 6lbs. That'll melt right off. Thanks for making my drive easier yesterday. We talked for like an hour. And no, I didn't do what you told me too. Chicken. And yes, I have to focus on this challenge. I am really stagnet right now and that is such a waste.

Paula
- this week is kicking my butt too. To many fires for one person to put out, no?

Nancy - you are amusing me to no end. Hope you kicked the headache.

Amy - I am Christmas shopping too. Loving it. Found the 3 big gifts yesterday. 2 for my girls and I found a Wii for my sister to give to my nephew. Since I had to drive thru 14 different towns I did a Walmart/Target tour for us. So excited.

Steph - ha, I thought you were in trouble with EriKa, voting for the first time. Lol. Zac's levels ok? I know they were kinda wac on the 4th.

Kat - seriously girl, this is where you need to be. More posting from you little missy.

Sarah and Stacy - where the heck are you? And Sarah - I believe you owe us a trip report WITH pictures. My gosh woman, you went to DisneyLand. Pony up.

My girls are out of school Fri and Monday so I am mentally gearing up for the weekend.:scared1:

Busy day today, I pretty much have spent 3 total hours in my office the last 2 days. I've got to get busy. I have a folder full of things that need copied and I am just dreading it. Isn't that stupid. It's not hard.

Ok, off to shower.
