I just got back from VOTING! I was so excited to vote. probably the most excited since 1996 which was the first big deal election I could vote in. here's to hoping Florida doesn't screw up this time and that we'll know who won tonight.
Also got the windows tinted in the corolla, found some great sales on shoes for DD and got a couple things at target while I waited for the car. we walked from the tinting place to the stores so that was some exercise, and I also got my butt out of bed this morning and did 3 miles on the dreadmill. I was supposed to do 45 minutes of run/walk intervals, but the DM seems to be really aggravating my shin pain, so I ended up walking alot, which made me mad. But it's still a WO, it's another 3 miles, and more calories burned. I wish I could bottle some of the race day adrenaline for use on non race days.
So, I am just chillin' for awhile.

Resident Boozer checking in here....Just got back from a beer run, and ended up with some blueberry beer. So Yummy.
I am still on a high from voting. Everytime I think about how lucky we are to be able to vote (especially as a woman), I totally get chills. So awesome.

SO - I made a deal with myself. Which is much like saying I made a deal with the devil! 
I was going to have ONE SMALL glass of wine...(in exchange for Friday night, which was a *planned* night to indulge...)....ummm hmmmm.....
...the bottle is now empty. 
I didn't drink it ALL myself...we split it. So much for a SMALL GLASS! 
...so Amy....I beat you to the drunken posting...

It's a subtle, yet signifcant difference...don't you think? I am HAPPY that I don't weigh as much I used to, but when I put on 5 pounds...well...I guess that I'm not really UNHAPPY...but...dis-satisfied? The 5 pounds is enough that my clothes don't fit the same, so I don't FEEL the same and I think that becomes reflected in my moods & attitudes
Either way - there is history in the making here in the U.S....either the first black male President or the first female Vice...

Hey all! I'd love to AIM, but guess what I am doing? Combing thru Mad's hair. Every little one. For NITS!!! I know!!! The teacher called today. They found 2! I am freaking out! I/we can't have lice!!! Period. Not up for debate.
I am checking in - between putting loads of laundry into hot water.
I just found this out today. Tee Tree Shampoo is a preventative lice thing. If you use it every whip stich, the nits won't find your head hospitable. FYI for you mommies of elementary school agers.
Dawn - we are praying for Baylor and you. Hang in there. Right now it's agony. I am sure you feel so helpless.

No, I don't recall you sharing that info previously...and Yeah. I've run 2 half's and a whole. As much as I love my liquor...I would totally and completely recommend that you abstain until your race is over. It can have such a negative impact on your training

Finally - a task that I am totally up to! 
We did the 1/2 and full at Disney...so I can sympathize with the "dry" holiday season. It made it easier for me that hubby and I did it together...so we were both sober...made for an interesting Christmas with my family...and NYE without shots? weird.
But, it was indeed worth it. Loved those races. As a matter of fact - today when we were running I was wondering to myself if DS would be interested in running a 1/2....for me...ANYTHING to get myself to Disney again! Night all....got a few "kid" things to take care of before it's "lights out"...

SO I voted for the VERY FIRST TIME yesterday! I was pretty excited!
I felt kinda stupid because I had to have them show me a few times how to work that machine .... it's kinda complicated!
AS for food!
Breakfast - skipped because of field trip
Lunch- Grilled cheese small bag of mini pringles 11 points
Dinner- a bowl (1 cup) of beef stew (home made) a glass of milk and two popovers. 11 points
snack a BIGGY IGGY ( ice cream sandwich) 14 points
Over in Points by 6! Still have 26. points still extra for the week!
OH exercise I raked the side yard and carried all the leaves and dumped them in the back! My arms are sore along with my back.
As yesterday we went to get my mothers lawn mower and sweeper and stephen (in a Hurry) was trying to load the riding lawn mower and the sweeper on to the trailer all at once and of course he never tightened the ramps and guess what! Him the lawn tractor and the sweeper took a dive off the trailer! It was only a two foot drop three at the most but when you are on a lawn tractor that weighs about 600 pounds It is HUGE. He managed to push it as they fell and didn't break anything on him or the tractor. He is sore from his groin to his back! But he went hunting after so I think he will be fine!
Ok off to eat breakfast!

In Connecticut we now have Optical scanners - so you fill in little circles on your ballot - like taking the SAT's...then slide the paper into the machine...it sucks it in and reads it...(I *think* it must be magic....
