In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Love it Lyz. They look fantastic. Sometimes I just can't believe you have a child that age. But you probably can't some days, eh? Ie. Like wasn't it just yesterday when she was....

I can't either!

Just got home from a football game and on the way we got a speeding ticket. Yippee. While he was explaing how he was going to work the price down and demerits down in my head I was going, "blah blah blah blah ....BLAH". I was actually pinching myself not to utter a word. :lmao: Silence was best for the bills and the points.

That bites. How much is the damage?

Hey Lyz,

Your house looks purdy in the pics....

Can you tell I want to do ANYTHING but smoke or feel. :lmao: :rotfl: Or both. I'm actually checking out your house. But it does look pretty.

It's actually my mom and dads house. We frantically left my house without having time for pics. We did a trick or treat tour. My parents, then both of dh's grandparents. My goal was to NOT be frantic, and I'd say I was only 50% of my normal panic zone.

No smoking.

Aaahh. You see I'm downtown. And downtown living means I can not even go out of my condo to get junk or cigs. I could run down in PJs if I wanted to. Yes, I have back door entrance right in my building. :rotfl: :lmao:

I'm eating everything not to go down the elevator.

It's like it's in my blood somehow. Like the intensity suddenly out the blue says "Oh Lisa cigs will help". I don't know last time I just gave in and gave it its time. And I never went back to smoking - being a smoker. So who knows.

I'm sitting here watching "videos of the 80s". Thinking 1980 - 13!!!! I was thirteen. Hit it perfectly. Child of the seventies. But teenager of the 80s. Let your backbone slide.......hey I was already at university then. Oh Cyndi and Prince - how I loved thee. Still do.

What's up girl?

He stood me up again.

Yes, I love him. He's fine.

But what has he done for you lately?

The dancing has begun.

:lmao: :rotfl: Go Janet.

Thanks so much Lyz. :lovestruc

Oh the house. You did a tour? Oh geez Lyz. Adventurous.

As for the cigs - it's merely calling because I started in university - there - where I'm going for the funeral - so it's a huge association. Comfort.

David Lee Roth is serenading me now. David needs conditioner NOW!!!

Oh forgot $52 buckaroonies and no points. He tells Jean how it was supposed to be $240 or something and four points. Whatever.

Again - so much to catch up on!

ERIKA!!! I'm soooo green with envy right now! So nice you and the fam are having a fan-tab-ulous vaca! :woohoo:

I came home from Halloween last night with a message on my phone. Someone I loved has passed away. It was his time. And death is a part of life of course. But regardless.

I agree. But that doesn't make it an easy thing to cope with, does it. I truly am so very sorry for your loss...

In serious news, I got the scoup on Dawn's Baylor.

OMG! That's horrible! My eyes were all teary reading that. So freakin' scary.:scared: But Dawn is right - it could have been SO much worse.

Amy - snowwhite looks lovely. I espically like the bare little piggies. So cute.

Oh wait...you weren't talking about ME, were you....:confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl:

SO - I had a totally disappointing day. My SIL and I went to a craft/vendor day with our cheese and soap. It was a beautifully set up event - the vendors/crafters were all top-notch, they had food available, nice background music, perfect weather....couldn't have asked for much more. EXCEPT...for PEOPLE. :confused3 There were almost no attendees! :sad2: They advertised....the Tupperware ladies that were there sent out 1500 postcards themselves! 1500! That's a lot of postage!

I made a whopping $85 for the day. :headache:

Now I'm having a nice glass of red wine while I cook a non-fabulous dinner for my family... ....really hoping to take advantage of the *extra* hour for my workout tomorrow morning before church. Sunday is usually a "day off" but since I didn't workout today...and I ate PEPPERONI PIZZA last night  I think I have some catchin' up to do.

That stinks. I got my first ticket in 10 years back in March. So embarassing until I found out that like 6 other people from my work were pulled over that day on the same road.

Trick or Treating Pics:

Mol, masquerade ball dress. Mad a cat.

GREAT costumes! Love them!

Dawn, Prayers, PD and Good thoughts headed your way. :goodvibes That must have been so scary.

I found a pair of running tights at Target today on clearance. I am such a cold baby and about froze to death this morning on my 5 miler in 60 degree temps. I am going to try them out tomorrow during my 5K. Picked up my race number and packet today, the shirt is pretty cool.

Hope everyone is having a good evening!

Cheers!
Amy

Yeah a Nancy post.

Well after numbing with food (and every kind - salads, chocolate - I was an equal opportunity employer) and eighties videos I did go to the elevator.....

But I pressed up not down and went upstairs and did an hour long heavy interval workout. Yeah!!!!

Lyz - you pushed me through it the entire way! Thanks. And now I have my bball on. And how I love bball.

 Dawn  thinking of you and Baylor. Praying that things are as good as they can be in this instance. I'm so sorry Dawn. He must have been so scared. All of them.

Lisa

Nancy sorry about the day. That's bizarre, eh?

I was like, weather? Nope. Nancy said nice weather. Sometimes it has no rhyme or reason, eh?

So I did manage to work some exercise in this weekend ( the real kind) I walked well at a slower pace but walked two miles Friday night trick or treating with the boys! and Today I raked the whole front lawn and the worked out to be 16 huge garbage barrels of leaves!

OOPs need to go draw blood! I;m late late for an important date!

Oh Cyndi and Prince - how I loved thee. Still do.

Still love me some Cyndi.

Oh wait...you weren't talking about ME, were you....:confused3

ha. No I was not. Is snow white your favorite?

It's the economy I tell you. It flat out stinks!!!

But I pressed up not down and went upstairs and did an hour long heavy interval workout. Yeah!!!!

Lyz - you pushed me through it the entire way! Thanks.

Great Job!!!

Today I raked the whole front lawn and the worked out to be 16 huge garbage barrels of leaves!

Thats back/shoulder burning work!

Amy, it's going to be hard running a common 5k. No WDW excitement.

Hey all! I am here and catching up...

LYZ--loved the Halloween pics!

LISA--so sorry for your loss! Hang in there.

NANCY--sorry the fair was a bust.

DAWN--yikes! Hope Baylor is ok! Let us know.

I know that I have not hit all of the major points of the last few days...sorry! Just not enough time in the day.

Next installment of the trip report is on the way.

This is our last day at Disney! SO sad! But I have to admit, I am excited to hit Club Med. All the food and alcohol we can handle! Plus tons of activities. This particular resort focuses on sports, outdoor activities, and fitness. Perfect for my family, no?

So we woke up to clouds and about 65* weather. And today was supposed to be Blizzard. We slept in and hung around the villa…just relaxing since we haven’t done much of that during the past 3 park days.

Jeff went for his run, then I headed out for a 4-miler. It was tough, actually. Over-tired, etc. and just didn’t have a great run.

Finally, at about 10:45 we decided to head out. It was still overcast, but the sun was peeking through. And if nothing else, we figured that Blizzard would be empty. Boy, were we right! OMG, there were like….50 cars there? Something like that. Talk about having the place to ourselves! So glad we made the decision to go. I don’t have any of my own pics for this part of the trip report…sorry! We did get tons of Photopass pics, though.

Basically, we did everything as many time as we wanted. And yes, I did Summit Plummet. I was the only one, though. The girls are not tall enough and J and Riley were too chicken. We are family of water bugs, so any time we do a water park, we have a blast. We loved the family raft ride. And all of the slides for that matter. I don’t need to ever do Summit again. It was fine to do once. And it is not an issue of being scared. It just is so fast that it is really a rough ride and kind of beats you up, you know?

And OMG all of the stairs! J and I were both sorry that we ran earlier in the day. We must have climbed hundreds and thousands of stairs today.

It warmed up at about noon-ish. The sun was out and we were having a great ol time. By about 2, though, the clouds moved in and it was looking kind of scary. Since we had done literally everything about 20 times, we decided to change and head over to DownTown Disney for a late lunch/early dinner and souvenir shopping.

DSCF6424.jpg

We were famished when we got there, having eaten only breakfast at about 9am and it was now almost 3. Parking at the Marketplace was full, so we parked in the PI lot since PI is no more. This, of course, put us right smack in front of the new T-Rex restaurant. I had already decided that there was no way in hell we were going to eat there based on Kevin’s review from the Podcast.

However, we were right there, there was NO wait, and we were unbelievably hungry. So in we went. Let’s start with the theming….think Imagineers threw up dinosaurs. I mean, to theme something is one thing, but this place…wow. Over the top, totally. There are about 5 different rooms to the restaurant, and each one has a different dino-theme. The Ice Age, Underwater, The lush tropical dinosaurs, etc. There are animatronic dinos everywhere that are roaring and moving, etc. Volcanos are erupting, there are meteor showers, etc. Think Jurrasic Park on steroids during PMS with a bad hangover.

All of that being said, it was not nearly as loud as I had feared it would be. Of course, at 3pm the place was only half full. And again, we were seated immediately, brought our drinks, etc. and things were fine. The food. Now this came as a surprise. This was truly one of the best meals of the week! The food was GOOD. I mean really good. We all chowed.

The service—eh. At first, it was great. But the second half was not so good. Once our food was served, we didn’t see our sever for ages. I swear, I have never come so close to doing the Dine-n-Dash. I waited for 20 minutes to pay the bill. I had Jeff take the kids to bathroom and then to the store to look around, etc. And still nothing. I had just decided that I would give it 5 more minutes before just leaving. I mean, our table was empty except for me…a pile of dirty dishes…my credit card out, etc. And it still took that long. And while I didn’t stiff the waiter, the tip was less than 15% which I almost never do. But 20 minutes of my time is worth something, you know? It is not like he was in the weeds. And he didn’t apologize for taking so long to get to me, etc.

We spent the next two hours goofing around DTD and shopping, etc. Kids got their souvenirs and everyone was happy. And of course, I had to stop for the free chocolate!

Then it was back here to the Boardwalk. We hung out for a bit, had family game night, and then headed out to see the entertainment, take in the sights, get the kids a a funnel cake, and just end the Disney portion of our vacation.

Came back in and J and I watched a movie and packed up for Club Med. OMG, I can’t believe how long it took to pack us up! Jeez, the crap we have!

Ok, that is it for this part of the trip. Not sure what I will write about for the next portion , but we will see! We have never done an all-inclusive, so I am just not sure what to expect.

Sounds like another excellent vacation day! What a great vacation you've had.

Did you have to use an extra point for your daylight savings extra hour?

And thank goodness for that hour. I am so digging it tonight.

Night all.

Given that we are only here for 4 days and our kids are still pretty young, I don't see how we could have fit in even one more thing. As J said...we kicked this vacation's a$$! :rotfl:

Wake up everyone! I am supposed to be doing a 5K, but it is POURING Rain.:scared1: And cold, for this FL girl.:scared1: :scared1: I'll head out anyhow, and see what's going on.

Morning all!

AMY--do the 5k! I actually like running in a light rain now. Pouring, well, not so much. It is not raining here at all.

So we leave this morning. *sigh* Hard to believe that the Disney part of this vacation is over already. Lots of overall thoughts about it, but I will post those later when I have a bit more time.

J is our for his run right now and then I will head out for mine. Most things are all packed up already, but after my run I will have to take care of all of the last minute stuff.

Weather has been fine for park touring, though certainly not real pool weather. These next few days are supposed to be much warmer (about 80) but sun and clouds and rain are all part of the forecast, so we'll see.

Dawn--please post about Baylor (or text Lyz so she can post for you).

Steph--hope you head a great anniversary.

Kat and Liz--hope you are having fun with friends!

Lisa--so glad you are here and posting and getting it all out.

Paula--keep giving those mean ol guys at work your angry eyes! And just think....you will be here in a just a month!

Dawn - I hope baylor is doing ok!

Lisa - I'm so sorry

E - OMG, it seems like you are having so much fun, good for you! I hope you enjoy club med!

So, i'm considering wrapping myself in bubblewrap, i'm such a dork. On top of wrenching (or SOMETHING) my back (which still hurts like a b1tch, but mildly better than yesterday) I was walking through my kitchen last night and caught my toe (the one next to the pinky toe?) on Bruce's foot and yanked it sideways. Yes, thats right, i managed to crank my toe on my husbands foot, wth!!!! Now it's swollen up to twice its normal size, black and blue, and i'm limping b/c of it.

I'm not even upset anymore, i'm laughing hysterically. I mean, really, REALLY? am i 80? Backs out, foot's out. Am i gonna "fall and can't get up" in the bathtub next or something? TOO MUCH

Anyway, exercise is a bit sidetracked for the next day or so, so i'm going to try to make up for it in eating today. Planning on Oatmeal, huge salad, and maybe some chicken. We'll see.

I hope everyone had/is having a great weekend. I'm on cloud nine, the husband i never get to see has a 3.5 day weekend coming up in two weeks and we actually get to spend time together! :woohoo: :cloud9: :cool1: Nothing's going to get ME down :upsidedow

Time to tackle the mountain of laundry... :tiptoe: :laundy:

I did the race! It was a bit drizzly at the start, but it stopped. It was cool though and I was glad I had my running pant. it was also nice to not feel totally overheated and gross while running. No PR this time, but I did finish in 33:45 (garmin time), the same exact time as 2 weeks ago. I did better with pacing myself though. Other than 2 water stops and a bit of time to get rid of a side stitch, I didn't walk at all. The race was a bit disorganized (started a half hour late, start line was not clearly marked, there was also a half going on and it was unclear where the routes split). But I am really glad I did it. A good way to start my day. :yay: :yay:

Lyz- girls look great I loved mollies dress! I will post pics when I get hime or tomorrow after church but before work!

Yeah! Can't wait to see.

Great Job!!!

Thanks Lyz. And I did a workout this morning as well. Thanks to you. :lovestruc Well, and me!!!:rotfl: :lmao: ;)

And of course, I had to stop for the free chocolate!
.

A given. Last time they were giving out peanut butter ones. Yummy.

I have so enjoyed hearing about your trip Erika. I know I already said it but your kids look so happy. It makes me smile.

BB - I agree SP is a one time thing. Oh, the memories. Nothing like a bathing suit going up one's a$$. Once going down that simple one the tobaggan racers - I honestly thought I was going to go in the water unconscious - my head kept hitting the side all the way down. I have no idea why. :confused3

As J said...we kicked this vacation's a$$! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :lmao:

I hope everyone had/is having a great weekend. I'm on cloud nine, the husband i never get to see has a 3.5 day weekend coming up in two weeks

Nice Stacey. Hope everything heals quickly.

Yeah yeah for you Amy.

I'm off the airport soon. His grandaughter is coming in from Taiwan. And she has hours before off to Montreal. And she smokes. So she's had so many hours and hours without one. So maybe we'll go off property.

It's football day. Football - football and football. And then Monday football football football. I don't mind it at all. Don't love it like bball.

Well - I'm rambling again but it really has helped me to type about nothing and everything.

Dawn - thinking about you.

Erika - enjoy Club Med!!!!!
