In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Does anyone else want Amy's week-end????

Um, drinking, followed by some drinking, followed by lounging by the pool while drinking... :lmao: :rotfl2:

Hey ladies!
Happy Friday!! Hope everyones week is going well... I worked out everyday this week!!! My challenge loss is now 4.4 lbs total... I'm at 188.8 today :) I have plans to do my power sculpt dvd and some form of cardio today when I get home from work... Tomorrow I'd like to go on a hike since the weather is cool tomorrow... We'll see if DH gets up tho... I have a great 100 calorie per serving cookbook (everything is 100 calories or less per serving) so I am making breakfast and dinner from it. We are going to have banana shakes for breakfast, subway for lunch, seared scallops for dinner, and oat buns for snacks and dessert. I am really looking forward to it :) I hope everyone is doing well :)

I tried a complete drink around the world at F&W two years back... I must say, when they more than double the amt of beer stands, well, not only did I not really make it, I passed out on SE...

And I will take Amy's weekend as well.

Erika, YOU GO!!

I have fallen completely back off the wagon. Fatty McFatster reporting in here. Don't hate me.

 No one hates you! We all fall off the wagon... The whole month of May and half of April I was no where near the wagon... lol... You will be back on when YOU are ready...

Ok I jumped on the trampoline for a good 15 minutes today WOW what a work out that is. I am not talking a mini one a full size one in my back yard. Off to make cold veggie pizza for Zac's snack day! Then off to work! YUCK

hey gas prices are falling I only paid 3.33 here in town Didn't have to drive to VT. But I can imagine it is only about $3.00 there! OH WELL better than the $3.90 that I had see a few weeks ago!
Later Girls!

Hey Honey, I'm Home!

And look, Steph is back too.

I have to go catch up.

Could you hurry it up please.... things haven't been the same around here without you....:rotfl:

Ugh... this day is just moving at a snail's pace.... I don't want to be at work today at all and I have to find a way to get through the next 2-1/2 hours...

hope everyone else is having a better day...

Paula

So that took 45 minutes!

Ok, I am giving myself a goddess crown today. I need one, k?

I didn't do a 10-mile run, but dammit, I got out there and did it and today that is a victory for me. I did 4 miles, then a complete leg workout, followed by a complete core workout for 90 minutes of exercise.

E, you definately get a goddess crown. (But I think you have one permanently, ya freakshow.)

I LOVE that you have this super secret competition. I am ultra competitive (in case you haven't picked up on that :lmao: ) and that is just SO something I would do. Yeah, kick her a$$!

Ha, I love it too Amy. Yeah, kick it!

And can I just say that I love it that we have Liz and Lyz and Amy and Aimee. Makes life so much easier! Now we just need an Erica and a Pauline and a Cat and we will be all set.

Ha, yes.

Does it count that I once worked in an office that had the following:
2 - Mikes
2 - Johns
2 - Pauls
2 - Paulas
2 - Erics

We used to joke that you had to have a variation on one of those names to join the firm...

That's funny.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

I am about 5'11" so I guess maybe it sort of masks how much I really weigh. During my last weight loss adventure in 2004 I got down to 178, which I thought was good, but another 10 pounds would have been perfect. I've had a baby since then though and my whole shape has changed. I've got some pre PG pants that are size 16's that I will never ever get back into no matter what I lose due to my hips. Most of the new stuff I am wearing now are 12's and 14's.Weird.

That is very weird. Must be the jeans.

I also found out she is doing the TOT race...I told myself I was just going to walk that one and have fun with it since it is at WDW and all, but that's not an option now!!

Oh man!

No matter how many times I want to have a scowl on my face when I am around them, I refuse to have anything less than a grin. If they think I am hurting, then they win. And I am very competitive. :goodvibes I might even blog about that entire situation sometime.

Amiee

Good for you!

I am wearing jeans today, size 6 that are a bit too loose, and wearing a shirt tucked in. This is HUGE.

OMG! That is awesome. You tiny little woman. I'm so green.

Yeah, I went out on a limb and just ordered these jeans (my absolute favs and the only make and fit I will ever buy now) in a size 4! Yikes! They will definitely be too tight and cause the dreaded muffin top...but the 6s are loose and I keep having to yank 'em up all the time, so I am going for the 4s!

Ohhh, good for you. Did the jeans come in? And Amy asked this later, but what brand are they?

... on the other hand, I hate having to shop for new clothes every four months or so....

Bite your tongue!

:And that many men say it isn't about sex, sexual positions, prettier women, slimmer women. Not at all. That it is about the attention they crave and need. About feeling "needed" so to speak. So it's about them. Not about her not being able to "keep him" at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! She mentioned those words and they make me feel sick and sad. I hate that she has any moments of thinking it's about anything she's lacking. I hate that. It's makes me so sad and angry.

OMG. Did you guys see Oprah had on some "Dr." who wrote a book. "Why men cheat." (I think). Anyway, he said it's because men don't feel appreciated and the "other woman" makes them feel appreciated.

Well, let me tell you, I and 5 million other american women say, Who The F Cares?

"Oh, big man, you go out and do big work today. Good for you. Here, have some sgetti, I cut it up into little pieces for you."

BURNS me up. Like I don't have enough to do. I have to "mother" my husband. Who the heck appreciates me. No one. But that doens't make me want to go bed a stranger that might "appreciate" me.

Ok, off my soapbox. Bloodpressure is stabilizing.

For anyone who might be somewhere a little chilly right now..Pics of the sunset over the gulf of mexico from last weekend.

Amy, that picture. Breathless. Is this from your home? If so, you are livin the dream my friend. Livin the dream.

.... to make a long story short, my very best friend is this guy I met back in college.

Paula, is this the same guy you had stay at your house about a month ago? (and yes, I still have to catch up on email too!)

Hi all

Sorry for not posting....life is busy and Dawn still has no internet at her house.

This is just a flyby to let you know we are still here and BTW Dawn has lost more weight...she is such a trooper...I am soo proud of her !!!

Ok will check back later.

Dan

Dan, thanks for the update. How bout an update on you buddy?

Good Morning all! I hope everyones week is going well... I had 2 sales yesterday which is a nice change of pace... Been working out hard this week... had a gain today from yesterday which is odd... no cheating but I think I am at that weight point where muscle gain will start reflecting in my weight... So we'll see... I've been using Biggest Loser:Cardio Max and Biggest Loser: Power Sculpt for the past 2 days and boy am I sore... The night before last hub did the sweetest thing! I told him I needed new free weights for my Power Sculpt dvd since the 7 lbers were too heavy... Well he came home with a dozen roses, 2 lbers, 3 lbers, and 5 lbers for me :) He can be so sweet Anywho thats about all here...

Sarah, you are on it! And the hubs, so sweet.

It's about freaking time!

WELCOME BACK, Steph!

We want all the details about the new house! And no claiming thread bankruptcy! Oh no, missy...you go back and read all of those pages that you missed! :rotfl2:

Amen! That's right Steph. Go back. Now.

I am having a GREAT day! Which is really good b/c it has been a while since I have had one.

:flower3: EriKa, I'm so glad.

And by saying that - I've recognized that all relationships have their journey.

Lisa, I understood what you meant by this. And it's a good thought.

Small victory, no make that HUGE. I am down .2 lbs, which means that the 4lbs that has been on and off is GONE and the 6 week dance of lose and gain is OVER. Bye, bye weight! I am down 75lbs for good, forever! Two weeks in a row losing! Whoo-whee!

3lbs more to meet the challenge!

Only 12 to go and I am at goal!

:cool1:

Liz! Yaaay! You ROCK!

So - anyone want to try and help me explain my 3 pound OVERNIGHT weight change? :confused3 yeah. UP not down :scared: Not sure what I ate yesterday that would cause such a freakish reaction by my body....but it's tickin' me off!

Time to run before I go to work....

Ok, that sucks! I weigh in daily too. blah, blah, blah. I have to.

And Nancy, I must say, I am not ignoring you. I don't quote you as much as the others, simply due to the fact, most of your responses are "in" someone else's quote. And it's too much work to go grab what clever ditty you put in there. I'm missing alot of good stuff here. Stop it.

Hey everyone!

1 pound LOSS to report here. :woohoo: Finally. I really hope this is the beginning of the drop off my plateau. The last time I hit a plateau I dropped 5-6 pounds in 2 days all of a sudden. I am hoping that will happen this time too.

Off to catch up! Later everyone! :surfweb:

Whoo, I hope you get a post plateau big number loss too!

OMG I had a whole post written and it just disappeared brought me back to the Dis home page! Lets see if I can remember what I wrote.
UM house BIgger and smaller in weird ways. More rooms but rooms are smaller.
Kitchen Bigger but not enough cabinet space or counter tops. The Kitchen has 5 windows so I have two whole walls that are just windows. So I have stuffed stored in the basement ( there are built ins down there).
Bedrooms I have now 4 instead of three. BUT ( yes there is always a BUT) the rooms are half the size my old bedroom was 18x24 and my closet was 18 feet long and about 3 feet deep NEW closet is about 3 feet wide and about 20 inches deep. Hangers just fit! New bedroom is about 10x12??? I am not good at figuring square footage.
Old HOUSES DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH OUTLETS!! I have three in my bedroom sounds good but I have one on a short wall and then two right above each other one is almost to the ceiling! We will be fixing this as we re do each room.
My mom came over and helped on friday and saturday!(she owed me right?)
She helped iron and put up my curtains and she even bought me some new ones. Not used to having neighbors so close needed some crochet half curtains to put so she bought those.

Good. Glad things are on the mend. Mama's are important.

So over all I do really LOVE my house just some things that need to be fixed. But Hey it is an old house we did expect things like this. I think:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
As for everything else Sam is doing wonderfully in school I am so glad she stayed back and she is now getting her self confidence back. No bad reports home only good one!:woohoo: Her knee I think I told you she may have a torn ACL we head for the orthopedist on tuesday to hear what he says. I am trying to keep her off the trampoline I finally told her therapist what she was doing and she told her and showed her what her knee was doing on there when she jumped. I think she got it, this time!!:rolleyes1
Tyler is doing great in school but his asthma and Eczema are flared up! Doc wants us to go see a specialist in Saranac lake (paula we could have done lunch if you were there) This specialist is a pediatric allergist.
Zac's teacher LOVES him to bits this year a big change from last year. Last year I always got negative comments from the teacher every week on weekly reports and this year total opposite! All good remarks, all good grade except in math I thought boys excelled in math??:confused3
HE was helping stephen mow the lawn on Saturday and ran over a bee's nest. He got 6 stings. Four up his pant leg and two across his hand. He didn't swell or anything but then his sugar went sky high! they were in the 200-300 for two days. Now he is back to normal.
Nathan (my step son) helped us move he stayed the whole week almost. I think he like having his own room! He is coming tonight too and I guess staying till saturday or something like that! I don't mind anymore I used to hate it when he came it caused disruption in MY schedule but now he is older and takes care of his own things like shots and breakfast and everything else I just wake him up and tell him to get in the shower and Heck I am already up! So it is no BIG deal anymore!
Ok I NEED TO GO UNPACK
see this is why I didn't plug in the computer!!!!:rotfl2:

Steph - sounds like things are very good. I'm happy for you. It's an exciting time.

Have you made any declarations. Like you do with new situations. For instance, "I will not eat while sitting infront of the computer in this house?" I do that.

Hey team....would you believe that this is my first post of the day??? I am in the weeds, I tell ya!

No, I can't! lol.

LYZ--I am in total withdrawal without your posts! Aren't you due back today???

Yes, but not until midnight. Thanks for missing me.

AS FOR ME....aside from being in the weeds, life is good. I am in a better place, have had 5, count 'em 5 perfect days of food and exercise both, and catch this....

For the challenge, I am down TWO POUNDS! (total....not just this week, I mean, this is ME after all! :rotfl2: ) I was down .5 last week which I didn't even count as I figured it was regular fluctuation, etc. But I was down another 1.5 today, so :cool1:

I have to work all night, but I will be on and reading! Missed you guys all day.

E! Wowzers! That is great! Totally!

I was in the hospital for 10 days for an unexpected vaycay - just got out last Thursady - had a stint put in my kidney - taken out due to rejection and then had an eppidural put in for 3 days to give my body a rest from the pain and the spasms...

Dawn, glad you are back to the real world.

The giant turd took care of the kids at my house...without buying any groceries...(it is convenient I had just spent $400 on groceries which he and the kids used) or cleaning at all including laundry...

It ticks me off that he is supposed to heve the kids anyway...and that means payindg for food etc...not stealing from my house....

Do you have any idea what I walked into that Thursday afternoon...on top of him being beind in child support and trying to get all the bills together he left overdue when he moved out....could just bop him in the head I tell ya...

This is why he is the "giant turd". Argh

I have lost almost 20 pounds total though...that is my good news!

Dawn!!!! You ROCK TOO!

I am still going to try and beat her 5K PR though.:) She's not completely off irker status.

:lmao:

Great price for the third night. I keep trying to put some kinda family trip together with my free dining pin.

Thanks everyone!

And for the new folks who don't know...I NEVER lose. I do everything right...I mean, I am an exercise freakshow (Lyz will tell you)

Not sure if freakshow is really strong enough.

So I am totally going to be rude and invite myself, but I would definitely be interested in a drinking around the world GTG.

NOT rude at all. It would be a shame! if you were that close and didn't come.

House is starting to come together! I got home tonight and Stephen had cleaned up the foyer ... not sure where he hid the stuff because I know he didn't put it away! But it looks good!

Ha! At least he put forth the effort.

you got it right Nathan is his name, He was supposed to spend the night but he didn't some type of report due tomorrow and he needed to go home and finish... but if he were her I Wouldn't be on the puter due to it is in his room for now!!!

Get that puter out of there. We can't be having any excuses.

Morning! Just sitting here checking my e-mails in jeans that are too loose...

Crowning you right now.

Sarah! Everyday is BIG! Whoo hoo! And tell me how the 100 calorie meals go, mkay?

I have fallen completely back off the wagon. Fatty McFatster reporting in here. Don't hate me.

Kat! Quit hiding. Not enough posting here and now I see why. Do your thing. Get it out of your system and then get your "ask" to the gym.

Ok I jumped on the trampoline for a good 15 minutes today WOW what a work out that is.

Jumping on the trampoline is exausting. Steph, have you ever? I have. :rotfl:

Thank GOD! What took ya so long?

I was kinda reading, but between working and being with hubs, no time for posting.

So that took 45 minutes! That's it.... you are a fast reader....

Paula, is this the same guy you had stay at your house about a month ago? (and yes, I still have to catch up on email too!)

yes - that is the one... good memory...

Lisa, I understood what you meant by this. And it's a good thought.

I am starting to understand this .... it just took a little bit more time spent pondering to get there...

I was kinda reading, but between working and being with hubs, no time for posting.

Like that is an excuse.... :rotfl: welcome back girl.... we missed you....

Paula

So, I went to Texas to put some final touches on the project there.

I did something I'm alittle ashamed of.

We got into Plano, (Hey Believen, I thought of you) to an area with multiple hotels. Hubs says "lets stay at Motel 6, it's only $50."

Ok, $50 is a great price, but that is probably indicative of the state of affairs at that hotel.

I, being the snob I am, said, ummm, I don't wanna.

He says, it's not a big deal.

I am agast.

He pulls up.

I threw out the ultimatium. "If we get in there and it's filthy with matted carpet and spooge on the walls, I am leaving."

He said, go in and look at a room.

I said, "I can't do that!"

Guess what. I did. I asked the clerk if I could "see" a room. It was disgusting. I wish I had taken a picture. The floors were all wood laminate (odd, but probably a good idea). The room was "non smoking", even had a sign, but it reeked and had an ashtray on the vanity. The bedspread had to have come from a yard sale (in the 80's, it was "swatch watch" cool) and was askew. The shower was, blech.

I decided, no go. But then I had to go tell the clerk. I'm such a witch. I said, "thanks, but we aren't staying here." Walk of shame.

We ended up staying at La Quinta. Good compromise don't you think. Very clean and oh so Mexicano sheik. And I didn't bring home any bedbugs.

We ate so much food this trip. He had lots of places to take me. And they all were good.

Erika, we went to Texas de Brazil. (you know what I'm talking about, but I know you'd never go there.) It was so good. O.M.G. Kat, you'd LOVE, L.O.V.E. it. It's an all you can eat meat orgy. The servers come to your table with spears of meat and just keep bringing it. You have a little sign, green means, "bring it", red means, "I'm good." Every kind of meat.

Anyway, all we did was work, eat and sleep. I didn't even get to shop.:headache: I had to get "something" for the girls. At the airport last night, I got them a sucker shaped like a steer.:rotfl: And some Texas pens, that upon testing this morning, so even write.:lmao: Oh well.

I'm home and back in rotation. Oh, and strangely enough, I didn't gain a lb. Probably cause I was working and usually my butt is planted at my desk. That helped offset all the food.

Ultimatly that means, I am a challenge loser. Again.

The only motel 6 I trust is the one across from Disneyland... LOL... they have to stay clean otherwise no one will stay there... LOL!

Love that you are back and thanks for the report! Glad you loved Texas de Brazil! And no, I would never eat there, but I swear "the crew" makes it sound so good I just want to go with people who DO eat meat! :rotfl2:

Have to get the kids off the bus, so no time for a real post. Just came in from a crap-tastic mile run. It seems to have been ages since I have had a good run!

I'm surprised you even walked into the Motel 6 to look at a room... that is something I would not have done.... I do have my standards after all.... :rotfl:

I know!

Well, when they go out of town to work, they stay at an InTown Suites. Which is $199 for 7 days. And it is an efficency studio with kitchenette. It is bare bones. No hangers, no alarm clock even. But, really that is our only option when 4 guys are staying for 6 weeks. So, his standards aren't too high, regarding work hotels.

Now, vacation, is a whole other story, thank goodness.

I have been to a Brazilian steakhouse before. And yes, I do love them. Yumm. I usually love the cold bar as much as the meat... I am sucker for great cheese.

BURNS me up. Like I don't have enough to do. I have to "mother" my husband. Who the heck appreciates me. No one. But that doens't make me want to go bed a stranger that might "appreciate" me.

Speak for yourself.

Ooooo, me too. Loved the cheese. Sundried tomatos and mottz. Grilled provalone wedges. Yummy bread. It was gooood. Oh and I had the creme brulee too. Citrus vanilla. YUM O. And all those male Brazilian models, er, I mean servers. Mmmm.

Speak for yourself.

:rotfl: Sorry. I was profiling wasn't I.
