In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Lisa - Seriously, TMI or not, I am HOPING that's what it is. Like, I'll take it. Be gone! Be gone!

I'm focusing on green things. And water. To pull out this junk!

How could it be up that high??? Argh.

Lyz - I did. And Twilight. Call me. Home today. Kept Em home. She spent two night waking up with an earache, but no sign of it in the morning. I think she might be getting a big girl tooth. But I didn't want to infect the school if she was actually sick.

I still have a cold. I have to go run this week. Yes, run. I need to. So sick in the head.

I think she might be getting a big girl tooth.

Aww.

I sent you an email on Twilight.

Ok, so go run. That will help with the extra poundage. Gotta lose that before the making of 300 perogies. (Was it perogies?)

Where is everyone at today? And I'm concerned that E hasn't checked it. Totally not like her.

Hi Everyone....

OK - so I am back from vacation for almost a week now and still don't want to get back into the swing of things... Is that wrong???

Anyways - realized this morning that Christmas is next week and I have done nothing to prepare... no shopping, no decorating, no cards, no baking, no nothing... yes, I am totally screwed since I have to shop for gifts, clean and decorate the house, write and address about 70 cards and bake about 50 dozen cookies all this weekend... yup, I'm screwed... gotta love the holidays right? Oh and you all are peer pressuring me into reading Twilight so there is no way I am buying that book until after the holidays since I can't afford to get sucked into that as well this weekend.

On the plus side, I am slowly getting back into my regular thing with JC and swimming. I head back to the pool tonight after two weeks off so that is a good thing. I am asking 'Santa' for a Gift Certificate to my gym for some personal training sessions. I need to start stepping up the workouts and doing some toning. The upper arm wings I have developed are getting kind of scary and I really need to start working on getting rid of the tire around my hips. That is a little out of proportion to the rest of me and is really starting to bug me.

So as for what you all are up to:

to those of you reading the Twilight series - stop, put the book down (only for a little while) and reintroduce yourselves to your families. I'm sure they miss talking to you. Not to mention the fact that your eyes could use the break...

Liz - hang in there and keep drinking lots of water. Remember the week I gained a ridiculous amount of pounds when I thought I did so well. I drank a ton of water after that and it came right off.

Lyz - have fun in Disney and tell Goofy that I miss him... you are going to have so much fun... safe travels my friend

Lisa - I love the yard of the bungalow you are looking at. Very cool. Transitions like this are never easy, but you are doing the responsible thing and going with what you can afford. Kudos to you!!!!

Stacey - hang in there... open enrollment is almost over... you will get back on track... you have some very good incentives in front of you now... we are here for you...

Steph - how goes things up north??? Hope all is well...

Erika - How was game night? What did you all play?

Kat - I am impressed that you made it through Twilight so quickly, but then again you are one of the resident superwomen... Oh - and how many drinks were in you when you agreed to run the 5K? I so need to know that so I can stop before I hit that point the next time I go drinking with Erika...

Amy - Glad your time at WDW with your parents was so fun. I know one of the best memories from my trip was seeing my parents be so happy. That was truly priceless to me.

Dawn - are you back yet?

Nancy - How is your Christmas baking going? Feel like adding some more cookies to your list of things to do (hint...) lol... kidding..

I think I got everyone... (hope I didn't forget anyone and if I did, just slap me upside the head... you have my permission..)

ciao for now...
Paula

I am still not wanting to get back into the swing of things, either. Did some of my xmas shopping online today. Luckily, xmas is at BIL's this year so no cleaning or cooking required.

I chew through books, so not really a superwoman. I have also read the midnight sun excerpts that are online and am planning on starting twilight again, I think.

And, I was stone cold sober. Although, I think I can claim temporary insanity from the 1900 Park Fare breakfast...

yikes... you agreed to run a 5K while sober... granted, the 1900 Park Fare breakfast is intoxicating, but still....

Makes me wonder what I agreed to after that tequila shot...

Paula

I am here...thanks for your concern. And I will respond to everyone later tonight once I get the kids in bed.

But yes, Kat did agree to a 5k and I will hold her to it. There is a funny story there that I will share. But um, Kat....start training. kay?

Lisa--love the house options.

Lyz--got your text. Thanks. Fine.

Liz--I am still angry.

Stacey--good to see you back.

Paula--word. I am not back in the swing yet either.

Ok, I have 212 e-mails in my in box. No lie. End of the semester, you know.

Glad that you are okay, E.

I will start training in Jan. Marathon weekend, here I come. :) And yes, my mind is still in the parking lot of the Grand Floridian.

I have invited a few folks over from the other thread, so be nice to them if they wind up over here, okay? :goodvibes

I'm home from my rather successful shopping day.

<sniff, sniff>....ahhhh...the smell of burning plastic. It is intoxicating, is it not?

Checked the weather in Orlando for this next week. 78-81. Good swimming weather, a little warm for park touring.[/B][/COLOR]

Lyz...have a SUPER trip....today...I was at WDW in my mind....

I'm very stressed.

 going to check out your photos now...

Hells no. I'll wire my mouth shut first!

 I remember in High School, telling my BFF...if I ever get *THAT* fat, lock me in my closet until I'm thin again, 'k?

I'm sure weight that went ON that fast, will certainly come OFF fast as well. My body does weird things too...and usually I panic, and usually it's really not as big of a deal as I make of it...:confused3 ..just keep doin' the right things...it'll be ok...

OK - so I am back from vacation for almost a week now and still don't want to get back into the swing of things... Is that wrong???

If it is, I'm wrong too!

Nancy - How is your Christmas baking going? Feel like adding some more cookies to your list of things to do (hint...) lol... kidding..

:rotfl: Oh sure! I'd be glad to!

I'm about where you are with the whole "getting ready for Christmas" thing. My tree is UP...and, actually has lights on it. Tonight hopefully the decorations will go up. The advent calendar....yeah, well, little late for that one...gifts - I did some damage today. Now I have to do an "inventory" to see where I'm at....tonight is also "on-line shopping night" for me. click, spend, click, spend....:rotfl2: I love me that big brown UPS truck

TWILIGHT - all you persistant fans....I was at Target today, and thought maybe, just MAYBE, I'd buy that book for DD's stocking....yeah. Do you know I couldn't even FIND it? :confused3 Guess that's a sign that I'm not meant to read it....

Thanks for the support, gang. I can always count on you!

I don't want to struggle anymore. Wouldn't that be nice? :lmao:

I should be around tonight if anyone wants to chat. Em seems to have an ear ache, still. Trying Tylenol and oil, as per E. And feeding her comfort food.

Yes, 300 pierogis tomorrow! Whee! I do love making them. Fun, fun.

So true Nancy. So true.

Thanks for all the thoughts on both the places. It's a shame the little red door one sold. It was precious. Thanks guys.

Just clearing things up. I am not angry at Liz. Liz and I were on the phone earlier and I was raging at her about something completely different. And when I posted here I was letting her know that I was still mad about it. No one here and nothing related to this.

Hey Ladies,

Busy day here. I got a new VB bag and some jeans at Kohl's. (Elle, flare style, low waisted, highly recommend for any ladies with long legs like me)

I won a crackberry off of ebay last week, so I got that set up today. I will be able to keep in touch while I am in NC for 2 weeks. inlaws have no DSL, no cable, only dial up :scared1: :scared1: .

Feeling a little bit unmotivated running wise. I look at the last 2 weeks, one of which I completely rested after the 1/2 and last week when I did some running but not as much, but added the shred in too. I lost more weight those 2 weeks, than I did in the 5 weeks prior when I was totally racking up the running miles. :confused3 I hope to get in a 8-9 mile LR in NC and then some smaller runs and hikes. I know I'll be able to finish the 1/2, it's just that I feel like I HAVE to beat my previous time.

Kat, are you doing the 5K on marathon weekend 2010?? Cool. You will totally kick butt.

Lyz, your trip plans sounds great. The discounts didn't seem to have an end date that I saw. Even the super nice ornaments in germany were 50% off. I bought a deadliest catch shirt in Norway. I :lovestruc :lovestruc that show and one of the boat captains was there signing autographs yesterday. Line was long, so I did not wait, but that non-disney shirt was 40% off too.

Liz. :confused3 about that gain. I bet it might be gone tomorrow.

Kind of dark one of us, but lights look good

I think that would be the plan, I guess. Not sure yet. Still have to clear it w/ Mr Kat and work out the details... since I have no frackin' idea how the whole thing works!

Amy, let me know if you get anywhere close to me. I think Asheville is about 3 hours west of here. I would drive as far as Greensboro or so? I am in Charlotte on the 25th, in PA from Dec 26-30 but the rest of the time I am around.

E, too funny.

Nancy, Twilight is EVERYWHERE around here. I could have bought it at the grocery store! However, the used bookstore of course does not have the series. Tomorrow I am likely to go looking for the rest somewhere and pony up the cash, sigh.

And that burning plastic smell, yeah, here too -- I wondered what that was!

Mornin'! I'm going to Disney World Tomorrow:banana:

Hi Everyone....

OK - so I am back from vacation for almost a week now and still don't want to get back into the swing of things... Is that wrong???

No. It's so natural.

Goof! I feel for you. You are going to be exhausted.

Oh and you all are peer pressuring me into reading Twilight so there is no way I am buying that book until after the holidays since I can't afford to get sucked into that as well this weekend.

Yes! Don't do it. Wait till you have time. Or you'll be making deals with the devil like me.

On the plus side, I am slowly getting back into my regular thing with JC and swimming. I head back to the pool tonight after two weeks off so that is a good thing.

Anxious to hear how weigh in went.

Don't think I'm forgetting that you need to post an updated pic with Goofy. I'll let you get thru the holidays.

I don't want to struggle anymore. Wouldn't that be nice? :lmao:

Yes!

I won a crackberry off of ebay last week, so I got that set up today. I will be able to keep in touch while I am in NC for 2 weeks. inlaws have no DSL, no cable, only dial up :scared1: :scared1:

Ohhh, exciting. I just checked in on my phone to test it out. I'm not taking a laptop, I think.

Lyz, your trip plans sounds great. The discounts didn't seem to have an end date that I saw.

Awesome.

What did Delena think of the lights?

I am doing well time wise. Not stressed about leaving town. Paychecks done.

Last night I made buckeyes and cut out cookies and put in the freezer. I have thumbprints in the freezer too. When I get home, all I'll have to do is ice the cutouts and make peanut butter blossoms. I'm feeling pretty good. Now if the snow storm will just stay away tonight I can rest easy.

Oh, except hubs grandpa is in the hospital. He's been sickly for a while.

Gotta go find Nancy's post, that escaped.

No, it just means you have to look somewhere else.;)

Glad you had a successful shopping day. I love Christmas shopping. I love spending 2 hours in Toys R Us checking out all the toys. And making lists and checking them twice.

EriKa - not enough posting on Monday. I was going thru withdrawal.

Amy - Great pictures. Tell us more about your VB.

Nancy - you are funny! You make me laugh. :rotfl:

Kat - Sorry to wig out re the book. I am so all about Lyz not getting spoiled.

BTW, if one of us says we are mad in the future, it is probably book related. We have more Kool-Aid if you get thirsty. :lmao:

So, I have a semi-sick kid, a desire to eat everything in sight, and 300 pierogi to make. Good times. I might not be on again until tomorrow. Heading down to my mom's house in a few.

Also, I can so tell I am retaining water. Is it cheating to take a water pill? Tell me the truth.
