Be back later with xmas pics and maybe a pic of Edward!! :lovestruc Swoon.

Awesome Pictures Amy!!! of you, Marathoning.

Edward and I haven't met yet, so his appeal is visual only. Not emotional like you three/ or is it now four?

Hey Amiee!

How the heck are you? Well, I guess you just told us. ;) . I'm going to check on a new release - discount - for you. EDIT: There is a new room only, Jan-March, that might be close to the the 4/3. When are you going?

Congrats on the weight. I think many of us are experiencing the same thing - with the slow down. Do you do any intervals? If not, that might shake things up Amiee.

Sorry about the boy. I'm not laughing about your frustration. I'm laughing that I call men - boys. I guess I forget I'm 41. Forget I'm not 16. :lmao:

Good to see you. Come around more missy.

Lisa

We are going in late June now, which is ok. I was shooting for late July.

The exercise part ~ well, I am walking for now. I need to get off my lazy butt and do something more. But not today, I'm taking a me day today.

Our "mantle". The stockings only stay up there until we put stuff in them. The letters don't hold up anything!!

Our nativity. The manger itself is from the nativity set my mom bought MY first xmas. The people that came with that set need some TLC (painting touch ups), so I am using this set for now.

Hint Hint.

AMY--OMG, Edward. Yes. We are going to see the movie in DTD on Monday night. You have to drive over for it. HAVE to. Love it. And no, you fit right in drinking wise. We would not drink you under the table. Well, I might. I had A LOT last night. Like 11 drinks.
I WISH I would have seen this sooner!!!:sad: I probably could have made it over. Although, I am guessing it would have involved me driving through Tampa at rush hour (which means an 80 minute trip, turns into 3 hours!!:scared1: :scared1: ) I NEVER go through there at rush hour unless a Category 5 hurricane is chasing me!!:lmao: 11 drinks?? OMG.:worship: At most these days, I can do 5 without becoming completely ridiculous. I had 6 saturday and that was just bad.

Ok....a little at a time, 'cause that's all I can do.

also - please note - that I am not quite the photographer that some of you are. and...I don't know how to post my pic's yet. (that's my new years resolution, so it'll have to wait! )

We left early last Saturday (as in headed for the airport at 6:15 am)...it was really weird having my own son drop us off at the airport.

Anywhoo...yes. We left early. Which means I had eaten breakfast early - like 6-ish. And the planes - well, unless you are in 1st class, no meal - just snacks. I brought a banana with me.....so...yeah. Not much to eat. After an uneventful flight, we landed & breezed thru customs (after all. who wants to bother TOURISTS who are coming to spend $$$$ in a country that really needs it??:confused3 )

HOLY CRAP is all I could say. NEVER did I expect the ....ummm...harrassment?.. to start so soon. In the airport there was a MAJOR "time share promotional" squad verbally assulting us relentlessly trying to get our attention (I did speak briefly with one gal, who SEEMED helpful with tour tips & info, etc). Finally made it to the rental car place....where it took FOREVER to get our car. They were extremely busy when we arrived. Everyone was really nice though - and helpful....just...busy. So by the time we actually reached our resort, it was 3:30 pm our time (2:30 locally, but I hadn't changed my watch). Remember how I said I ate breakfast really early? Yeah. I was ravenous. Of course, the first thing they do at the resort is connect you with a "vacation consultant" (I think that was what her title was) ...you know, someone to assist you with the whole "being in a foreign country" thing. Really - a nice touch. (remember though...I'm STARVING). She sits us down in the BAR off the lobby...and they bring us our first of the very, very many complimentary margaritas we would have during our visit.

Twice.

I was SO hungry. That alcohol hit me like...well...fast. I didn't care though - I was on vacation! We went to the restaurant out at the beach and had lunch. Fajitas. YUM. and more margaritas, of course. :goodvibes

Went to our room after we ate - the view was AMAZING. Ocean & beach. Technically SEA and beach. White sands, crystal blue Carribean sea water.

(aw crap. Now I HAVE to figure out the whole picture thing...you have to see our view...)

the area of Cancun where the hotels are is actually an island. a really narrow, but long, strip of land. There was our resort, road, and across the road a resturant, and then a huge lagoon. Very narrow. But up the side of the road that the resorts are on (the Carribean sea side) in addition to the regular sidewalk there is a bike/jogging path :thumbsup2 So we walked a long way. They don't refer to places as having "street numbers" but rather they tell you what "kilometer" it's at. The street is marked with a monument every 1/2 km. Our hotel was at KM 5. We walked down to a shopping area somewhere in the Km 9.5 area - so probably about 2.5 miles we walked. Looked at some of the open-air market booths (lots of lessons to be learned before we actually purchased anything. I was in NO hurry :rolleyes1 ) and then we took the bus back to the hotel.

The bus. What a trip. It costs 13 peso for the two of us...(roughly $1 total)...if any of you are Harry Potter fans....this was what I imagine the Night Bus to be! :scared1: We stuck out our arm - the bus that was whizzing down the road came to a screeching halt in front of us...and before we even paid the driver he took off like a rocket :scared1: Those bus drivers are complete maniacs! :rotfl2: The buses are not only fast, but frequent (we never waited more than 2-3 minutes. ever) and very clean. :thumbsup2

Ate in the bar (shocking, I know...) with a whole bottle of wine :rolleyes1 ...I knew I was going to love this place

Nancy, welcome back and can't wait to hear more!! :surfweb: I'm waiting....
GOOOD MORNING!
Well it's darn cold here -16 yes thats right MINUS 16 Steph just called to warn me to dress the kids up and make sure that I let the car run for a while this morning!
Amy up for a visit , I know how you LOVE the cold!:rotfl2: !
Ok off to get kids ready for school and then to READ!!!!

Make sure you check my picture of my lanai door WIDE open on December 8th!! no heat, no AC.
Steph! I wondered where in the heck you were. You were reading. I got the book, but it was pilfered by my 12 year old,(who also stole the poster inside Liz and Amy). I haven't had a chance to read it!

There's a Twilight book with a POSTER???I must go get it!!!:hyper:

I am just dying for the kids to go to school already so I can read! Forget the clean clothes forget clearing of the dining room table! (everyone walks in a dumps EVERYTHING on it!) I want to READ!!!!!! I think I am darn near close to page 300! maybe I will be able to finish it tonight or well can't working the school all day tomorrow! UUUHHHHHGGGGGG! It would be fine if I didn't need an Edward Fix!
So this officially makes 4 of us now (Me,Liz,Erika and Steph).:lmao: ..Hurry up and read it Nancy, Lyz!!!

Lyz, the tree is 7.5 feet tall!! Way taller than the real trees we usually get. Little D is such a perfect name for Delena. We still call her baby D sometimes, but she is growing up so fast, it just doesn't seem right sometimes. And, yes, she is pretty much a spitting image of her daddy. She came out looking like that and hasn't changed much. She makes certain faces that are totally me though.

I was totally productive today :woohoo: got in a little run finally, and pilates. got some more stuff done for my fundraising for the Disney 1/2. I am running for the children's tumor foundation. Also did some more xmas stuff.

I hope everyone had a good day.

Safe travels Erika, Kat, Liz, Paula, whenever you are coming back.

Cheers,
Amy

Listen there missy with the posting pics- if I figured it out its not that difficult, really.

Maybe why your weight stayed the same  Just kidding - that's wonderful Nancy.

Complimentary magaritas. Dream words.

Twice.

Fajitas and Margaritas. You're killling me. Did I actually ask for this trip report? :rotfl: More dream words. The envy is overwhelming me.

Went to our room after we ate - the view was AMAZING. Ocean & beach. Technically SEA and beach. White sands, crystal blue Carribean sea water.

(aw crap. Now I HAVE to figure out the whole picture thing...you have to see our view...)

Must see picture. Must.

Can't wait for more. The food and drinks. And the beach. It's been a difficult week. I should pay you mental health benefits. Good job. Good job.

Hey Amiee! :lovestruc Good to see ya.

Hey everyone,

Cutie - how are you doing?

Amy - loved the pics - race pics - thank you. And home pics too.

Steph - good to hear you. I was worried my anger at your husband :surfweb: scared the crap out of you. ;) ;)

Nancy - can't wait for more.

Master Stacey - where for art thou? Sarah - come and see us.

She'll be kicking my butt again tomorrow morning!:scared1: :scared1:

I was mostly sore in my arms which makes sense since I haven't done much with them as far as any targeted exercises. The only weight I lift is a 25 pound Delena!!!:rotfl: .The Ab stuff was actually pretty easy, but I've been doing crunches similar to what she does for awhile now.

I never do her abs part unless it's a challenging one. I usually use a pilates move during that time period of the DVD. I substitute. So if you have a move or see one in level 2 or 3 - substitute it. Especially since it's easy for you. I also substitute because I have found that some floor ab work, with my body anyway, can actually push the ab muscles out if you're not careful. Sometimes non-fit people have flatter stomachs.

It's really nice since it leaves you feeling worked, eh?

Nancy, welcome back and can't wait to hear more!! ...I'm waiting....

Ok...a little more...

Sunday morning we had an absolutely incredible buffet breakfast. Not what we here in the states would expect to find at breakfast. Well, omlets, yes...with choices of onion, tomato, salsa, peppers...and fresh fruits - pineapple, papaya, watermelon....

but also refried beans, mollotos (like english muffins w/beans & cheese), chacitos (kind of like a baked nacho dish)....a pork thing that looked similar to a pulled pork....sweet breads....much more...and the quessidillas (I know I just spelled that wrong...but for the life of me I can't get it right tonight! :confused3 )...the chef had a bucket of...well...I'd call it corn mash. scooped out a ball, pressed it in a tortilla press, and cooked it on this kettle-drum shaped griddle. Cheese, chorrizo sausage, mushrooms..Oh. My. God. I wanted to take this woman home with me. ...actually - I tried to tell her that on Friday morning - sadly, she didn't speak English and had NO idea what I was talking about....;) ...the food was A-MAZING.

So. After eating ourselves silly....we toured the resort. Ok, so when I say "toured", I'm assuming you are all reading between the lines here....yes...we "purchased" (hee hee. I own CANCUN :woohoo: )....again...early breakfast (8-ish) and of course, this time I ate A LOT....but then downed a bottle of champagne around 1:30 to celebrate our "ownership" :drinking1 and since hubby doesn't really care for champagne...yeah...I drank nearly the whole bottle myself. :rolleyes1 ...so I napped on the beach

Then the real fun began. We took a trip to the local Walmart. :scared: We had seen a map...we had HAD a map...but where the heck it went was beyond me! :confused3 So we drove in the direction we thought we remembered....:rolleyes1 ...into the "city" of Cancun. Where very, very little is in English.

Wait...did I tell you that everything I know in Spanish I learned from Sesame Street? Agua. Cerrado. That's about it....:rolleyes1

Here we are...driving basically blindly. Amazingly, after a few...changes in direction? I spotted it. It was NOT easy to get there. And when we did :scared1: the parking lot was JAMMED. PACKED. Not a parking space to be found. Who knew that 6pm on a Sunday was "the" time to be at Walmart? :confused3

I wished I had my camera. I had NEVER seen so many pink bicycles in my life. Not kidding - there had to have been several hundred pink bicycles on the sidewalk (for sale....) rows and rows....hanging from an overhang...everywhere. And Christmas trees. They were selling Christmas trees. Reminded me of the Grinch, 'cause on the bottom of each live tree was nailed a criss-cross of wood.

Anyway...we go in. (I did tell you that I don't speak Spanish right? Well, Stephen speaks even less. He kept getting "hola" wrong :rotfl: ) So. Everything is in spanish. Oddly though - the grapes, apples & baby carrots that I looked at were all imported from the US.

We tried to buy cream cheese. I had NO IDEA what those packages said. They LOOKED like cream cheese packages. They were next to items like butter and other dairy-ish items...so...we finally decided to choose one. <phew> Granola bars. hmmmm....nothing looking familiar to me. Crackers...they had Ritz. Got those.

Now I'm having complete and total empathy for anyone who is illiterate. All I could do was look at the pictures on the packages and try and determine if I was getting what I thought I wanted.

Peanuts....maybe? I'm not sure if they are peanuts (cause it's in a PACKAGE, not a jar or something you can see thru)....WAIT. I see something that says "PHILEDELPHIA". There was the cream cheese. What the heck did we have in our cart? The words didn't match...so we put it back. :confused3

Wine. a couple bottles....those I could figure out. Bagels. Stephen wanted bagels. Do you know, they don't HAVE bagels???? :headache: dang. return the Philly, we don't need it anymore. ;) Cheese. Hard cheese like cheddar? Nope. Ended up with the one and only thing I could recognize - Laughing Cow! :yay:

We were there for. ever. :sad2: ended up with almost nothing, because we couldn't figure out what anything was! Got Raisin Bran (Kelloggs...but they don't CALL it raisin bran there...I could tell that one by the picture). Milk. Leche. Got that one covered. They only had a very, very small refrigerator section - most of the milk is actually on the shelf "juice box" style :scared:

I was so traumatized by my shopping experience I needed...well...something familiar. So we ate at Applebees! :rotfl:

Oh - funny Applebee's story. We were "downtown". Not in the tourist area. Some spoke English, but not much. So here we are at Applebees, and another couple with a little one (maybe 18 months?) are sitting in the booth next to us. The little one gets restless - so the dad picks up the menu and "reads" her a story. He's pointing at a steak and says "once upon a time, there was a cow" (turn the page) That cow was very happy until one day it became a STEAK that I ate for dinner" :rotfl2: laughed right out loud. He was SO embarrassed because he didn't realize anyone else there spoke English! :rotfl2:

More margaritas....yep...they were a favored beverage....made our way back to the resort and to the hot tub...:thumbsup2 ....did I mention that I love that place :lovestruc

This is seriously my biggest crush since I was in love with Tom Cruise before he went nuts. He's even better in the book.

Tom Cruise - yeah, I had a major crush there too.......but not anymore. Scientology? Yeah. Not my style, thanks. :headache: And until you've pushed a bowling ball out from between your legs and dealt with all that pain & the hormonal aftermath you had better just shut up about pain meds & post-partum depression. :mic: (ok. Not trying to start a hate-fest here. ;) )

Sometimes non-fit people have flatter stomachs.

Flat stomach. :confused3 What is this foreign thing you speak of? :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

night all....tomorrow...I track. I promise.

Oh - one final thought. I just watched the Biggest Loser that we recorded from last week. I am SO HOPING that Vicky falls below the yellow line tomorrow, and WE THE PEOPLE get to vote her a$$ OFF. :yay: :yay:

Hi Lisa. I'm holding steady. Swinging between awesome and mental. The usual.

A Story.

Background first. My husband doensn't enjoy the holidays. They are just a pain in his a$$. I actually bought a slim tree for the specific purpose of him being able to see the tv without branch vision.

With this in mind, I had the following nightmare. I dreamed yesterday morning he took my beloved:lovestruc Christmas tree and threw, literally threw it to the basement cause he couldn't see the tv. I was ripping him up one side and down the other. I woke up in a sweat and hissing. I think I was really hissing outloud in my sleep  this is how passionate I felt.

He worked in the office with me yesterday and I was being snippy. He inquired as to why. I informed him of his dirty deed and that I was not happy. He found the whole thing Hi Lar Ious.

There is mental for you. Mmmkay.

YES! YES! and YES! I can't even look at him. He disgusts me. To the end! I wasn't a big follower before, but now I'm a Cruise Boycotter. And his wife. OMG. Such a VB poser.

Oh - one final thought. I just watched the Biggest Loser that we recorded from last week. I am SO HOPING that Vicky falls below the yellow line tomorrow, and WE THE PEOPLE get to vote her a$$ OFF. :yay: :yay:

Keep it coming. I know, I promised a picture tutorial. As mentioned, hubs was in the office yesterday, so I actually had to work, although I did fit in a little screwing around.

Wootwoot, waking up the thread. Off to the dreadmill.

This is seriously my biggest crush since I was in love with Tom Cruise before he went nuts. He's even better in the book.

I think I like the mental image that I have of Edward better than the one on the posters, but Amy's picture in her siggy gave me a little to go on for the mental picture. I haven't much more to read! maybe about 75 more pages, which I would finish in no time but I have volunteered my services at the school to work the Frosty's work shop! People donate new and used and unwanted things. And of course wrapping paper bows tape and the kids pay $1.00 for FOUR gifts! A few years ago my dad gave me all this lennox crap and I didn't want it so I sent it to Frosty's I made some MOM really happy! So I am off to go wrap presents for a couple of hours! FUN! Then hopefully be back in time to finish my book and then shower and go to work! Yes, Lyz I am not showering before I leave the house! I always shower right before work that way I am AWAKE for work!
OK MUST GO TO SCHOOL!
