Tuesday 10th June
In the park for 9am today, a little better! First we went on Pinnochio twice (DDs request). The carousel had a short wait today, so we all went on it once, and then DD and DH went on again. Then as EMH were ending DD and I made a mad dash for the teacups, which was nearly a walk-on well, a run-on. The mad dash through the queuing area with the zany music made a great addition to the ride!
Next we went into Frontierland to see what the queue and FastPass situation were like for Big Thunder Mountain. Queue was about 45 minutes and FPs were for a slot in just over half an hour, so we got those. We then tried to go on the riverboat, just missed it but decided to wait. The trip was quite nice, we got a good view of the playground, and also of the closed (sob!) Phantom Manor, including a chap renovating the porch.
By then our FastPass slot was open, so one we went. Brilliant! This is the kind of level of coaster I can cope with. DD squealed happily and demanded another go, so we got another batch of FastPasses. This time we spent the wait in Pocahontass Indian Village. As with Pirates Beach, theres almost nowhere for adults to sit, this is a real failure in the legendary Disney attention to detail though in some ways I think DLRP caters quite poorly for families, for instance in the actual hotel rooms.
After our second go on BTM we had lunch from the Cowboy Cookout, which was unremarkable, but perfectly edible (if a bit cold, the majority of our order having been left standing waiting for DDs burger).
Then we got another batch of FastPasses for BTM and had another wander round Adventure Island. This went horribly wrong when I got separated from the others and only found them when I thought to go back to BTM (I had the FastPasses). Words were had and I was not happy, but quickly discovered it is actually impossible to sulk on a rollercoaster, so we were all happy again.

DD wanted to go back on Buzz Lightyear, so we got FastPasses again (50 minute queuing time otherwise) and spent the wait eating some rather good ice creams. DHs gun worked this time and he got about two million points. I got 19,000 again. When we emerged we discovered our stroller had disappeared, so we had to go back to the rental place to get another one, but not before watching the parade again. DD was really into it this time, calling out all the names as everyone went past. We found ourselves unintentionally at the villains/Dreams of Power stop, which was cool. Its a good job DD has overcome her utter terror of Ursula in recent months!

After that we were pretty much done, so just used the stroller to return to the hotel. A bit of a rest, then off to the 6.30 Buffalo Bill show. I couldnt eat the chilli at the start of the meal (kidney beans again) which was a shame as it tasted very nice, but there were too many beans to pick out. I dipped my cornbread in it, and rather enjoyed the rest of the meal. The show itself was great, very slick, very impressive in places buffalo wandering about in an arena, mad!
