I am turning to all of you budget board members for some help. I am looking for a male angel ornament or figure.

This summer my 17 year old son passed away and I am looking for a angel gift for my wife and for his younger brother.

I have searched everywhere I know and can only find female looking angels. If you can find a male looking angel or a male angel with a guitar, that could really help.

The holidays will be quite a challenge this year.

Thanks in advance.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son. My mother lost her son too, my brother, a few years ago. My brother died in November and I wanted to give my mother something for Christmas even though she was not into celebrating and I went to a Funeral Parlor that had a gift shop and I was able to find something there I wanted to give her. I'm sure if you live in NJ, gift shops exist in your funeral parlors (there wasn't one in my brothers place but I went to another one) but maybe you can call a few.

I got a pictuer of my brother etched onto a key chain holder for my mother but they also had hearts that you put on a neclace that they sold where you can have the picture etched on the heart? Also, they have angels that have birth stones in them and perhaps you can get one with your son's birthstone and put it on a neclace for your wife or are you looking for a figurine? I'm sorry, I know too many questions.

Also, have you looked on the internet? Maybe google male angel or male angel with a guitar?

I went to a support group with mother for parents that have lost children (Compassionate Friends) and while it was a sorrowful place for me since I have not been in your situation, she always came out thankful that she went. They were the ONLY people that understood how she felt. Although I am sure some used Angels as symbols for their children, Butterflies were option from Compassionate Friends. It was a symbol of their child and they wore them.

I hope you find the angel at a funeral parlor or on the internet.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. What a beautiful gift this will be.

You may want to try a Catholic or Christian bookstore or searching on-line. There seems to be fewer Christmas and religious symbols in-store this year.

My kids gave me the Willow Tree angel in your link, sayheyrenee, and it means a lot to me.

RobNJ, I'm so sorry for your loss.
