we are going to be away from home over 2 weeks doing other things than just the Fantasy cruise. So we will have iPad, laptop, iPhone, electronics with us. I don't plan on taking them on excursions. Is the safe big enough for them?

Thank you for your help!

Depends on the size of your laptop. i fit a 13" Macbook Pro, iPad, and Samsung Tab w/10.3" screen in it. Anything much bigger than my Mac would probably not fit.

The full size lap top no, the other items very likely they will.

There are rarely reports saying anything was stolen from the cabins, but every know and then someone will report a problem.

I would not leave these type of.items out laying around. I would put them away in drawers or locked in one of your bags.

Have a great cruise.

Is there a safe or something similar at guest services to accomodate larger laptops etc?

You could ask at Gs about a safe. I've left all sorts of things out in the cabin without a problem. iPod iPad phones etc. the only tjong we use safe for is wallets, passports and good jewelry. If you're that worried just put it one of the bags that you push under the bed.

My autistic daughter would flip out if they went missing and I couldn't replace it right away in the Carribean. Seriously I'd be upset too. It drives me crazy having to start all over with a new device.

I've always left my MacBook on the desk, never had a problem, and in fact have never even seen it moved by the stateroom host while they were cleaning!

I've left my tablet, and once I left a 5k diamond necklace out on the desk in the box....no issues.

if something was to get stolen, it would have to be a cast member I'd think and you would need to sign in to get on the ship even.

I am almost positive you could leave that in guest services' safe if it did not fit in your room safe. But we have also (like someone else suggested) locked things in our bags. Just make sure you remember a bag lock.

Get a Kensington lock cable for the laptop and loop in around an immovable object.

Not necessarily.... if the cleaner has their back turned to the door (example would be vacuuming or cleaning the window)..... someone can quickly grab something in the closet or the desk. I assume the cabin door is kept open during the cleaning process for the staff's safety.

It's been mentioned before that wave phones can mysteriously go missing.... but be found in another cabin.

I agree thefts are rare on a cruise... but I can't always blame the cast member.

That was my thought, too. You could even just secure it to the back of the TV with a PacSafe device like that.
