In room coffee at RP was great! I know you were all worried about my caffeine fix!

I was so worried about something as ding dong as how i was going to get a good cup (pot) of coffee in the morning when the RP went to the single cup makers, the Keuring (not sure I have the spelling right). Without spending $4 a cup....
The coffee in the room was great. It was Emerils brand, and I found out why I did not like it when I have tried it here at home. The first cup is too strong for me, bitter even. So I re-used the same cup and loved the second cup from the pod cups. My hubby did not mind the first cup, so it worked out well. I find that odd, because I really consider myself to like strong coffee.
I was also worried that we would only get enough for one cup each, but house keeping figured out we only drank the regular and left plenty for us the rest of the stay.
The final "yeah" was that they had liquid creamer in the room. I cannot handle the powdered, and I had brought some little cups of liquid creamer with me and that was unecessary.

Thanks for that. Hubby is the cofee fiend so I will make sure he gets the first cup and I get the second when we go next month.

Did you also have tea and hot cocoa cups available? We have a Keuring at home and we are spoiled!

Yes they had tea. I don't remember seeing the hot cocoa though.

I am now looking into getting one of these Keuring machines . Maybe It will keep me out of Starbucks ..:rotfl2: :lmao: ...Ok Maybe not

The Keurig's are the best -- I made fun of my dh for wanting one, but now I am addicted. It used to be too much trouble to make an after dinner or pre-bed cup of tea. Now I have mint tea after dinner which totally curbs my appetite, and a soothing herbal blend before bed. I start my morning with Earl Grey or hot cocoa, and it's just so quick and easy, and no mess to clean up.

I am spoiled, but I love it! There are so many varieties of coffee and tea available, pretty much anything you can imagine or already enjoy. It's the best beverage investment we've ever made!

The little cup things are all a standard size, right?

I don't drink coffee but enjoy cocoa, so I was thinking that I could go buy a few cocoa cups and bring them with me. Would that work?

Yep, unless someone else can correct me, they are all the same size.

I don't like coffee, either, and I usually don't like making tea in hotels because there is always a coffee aftertaste. The beauty of the Keurig is you don't get that since there aren't any free floating grounds.

Yes, you could use any brand for the cups, I believe. bed Bath and Beyond sold all kinds of brands. Just make sure it is the cups, not the pods (which are little filter disks)

They did not have hot cocoa, which I was bummed when I saw there was a selection. You could ask ahead if time if they have it, or could provide it. Would not hurt to ask.

They had a black tea, green tea, decaf and regular coffee. We wanted more regular cups, so the service staff noticed that is what we were using, so that is what they ended up leaving us extras of.

We also stayed at RP recently and i fell in love with the Keuring.Got one for fathers day:cool1: Bed bath and beyond is always sending coupons so we bought the coffeemaker and they have a big selection of coffee
