Somehow my subscription to your thread didn't stick. Sorry! I'm back and caught up again.
I haven't eaten at Cali Grill, so I don't want to say too much about it, but I do think that if you loved it that much last time, it would be awfully nice to go back. I am kind of like your Mom though, in that I always hesitate to spend two meal credits at a restaurant. I'd have to be really sure it was worth it!
My own personal favourite 1 credit restaurant... hmm... at the moment Via Napoli is coming up first in my mind.
If I had to offer an opinion, I'd say if you're not sure about it, keep Cali Grill in your back pocket for a special meal on a future trip and find a nice 1 credit to replace it.
I am definitely leaning towards saving Cali Grill for another trip. My older son and I are hoping to run the Princess Marathon and even though I have no idea how I will finance it, I am already thinking of the Deluxe Dining Plan for the two of us. That would be pretty special dinner. I have heard so many great things about Via Napoli...it is definitely on my list of places to consider.
Hello! Joining in, I don't normally read TR but the title caught my attention so here I am!
Love California Grill but understand the 2 credits! Agree with^ Via Napoli is a favorite for my family. We also enjoy Whispering Canyon, Teppan Edo, Rainforest cafe and your title winner...Ohana! Lol
I also see your flying Southwest and wondering if total cost includes luggage. Price shopping for our Dec trip myself DH, DS14, DS12, DS2 (1st trip for his 3rd bday) and my mom. All previous trips we drove but DS2 will never make it so no choice. Don't like the idea of everyone split up and read Southwest will split up if not small child not sure if we can avoid this or not!
I am so glad that you are here! I definitely have Via Napoli on the short list. Teppan Edo also has my interest.
Southwest includes 2 pieces of luggage per person (one of the many reasons we love them). With your 2-year old you would be able to get family boarding with a child under 2. I did book Gabrian and I separately from everyone else. That way I only had to pay the Early Booking Fee for the 2 of us. Since he will be 5 when we travel, I was afraid we would be separated. I still think there prices and service makes it worth while to fly with them.
Sadly... I have only read your first post... I will be back to read the rest later... But I did get to read enough to know that our trips will be over-lapping ANNNNND... We are at the same resort.
Also... Your title caught my eye... I will be traveling with 3 (Yikes... THREE) teen-girls...
Looking forward to following along.
D~
I am so glad that you are here. I am reading your report too! I am only on page 23 though and trying to catch up. That is so exciting that we will be at the same resort. Maybe we can arrange a DisMeet!
