cant belive the cheek of some people today i had a man knock on the door saying he was from tesco home shopping demanding money he physically refused to budge inside my door he wedgrd his leg in the door frame wouldnt givehis name and tried to get me to give him money I refused and continued to ask for identification and for him to wait while i called tesco and he still refused to leave I had to call the police
and he eventually left I was really scared I cant belive the things people will do to try and get money:furious: hope they catch him

OMG that is awful :scared1: That must have been really scary, glad he left in the end.:grouphug: What did the police say?

the police said they would keep a note of it and inform tesco as they think it must be an employee with acess to peoples address etc i will not be using tesco home shopping anymore as they cannot guarantee who has access to your personal information:confused3

:scared1: hope you are ok Hun x x x

thanks Nat, Mandy and Jen
Im ok a bit shaken up but just relieved it didnt get any worse off to invest in a security chain for the door the area we live in used be nice but it is going down hiill rapidly

You did the right thing calling the police! I would definately get a security chain fitted after that. You must have been so scared.

awful experience, hope you get a restful night, at least you managed to scare him off

thats awful, ive got a security chain but dont use it- mind you these days i never answer the door as i have no friends and family live miles away so the only people that knock are kids for their football or salespeople.

thats so shocking

Oh Rachel-i hope your all right now,so sorry to hear that this has happened, take care  .x.

OMG thats awfull we have family who live in Earley Reading i think i will phone them to warn them. It is happening everywhere unfortunately we had a young girl knock on our door a few weeks ago wanting us to sponser her in a marathon she was doing the only marathon she was running was a scam. Have a couple of stiff drinks and try to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Goodness me, you must've been so scared.....I'd go to jelly if it happened to me. I'm sure he got the message and you did to right thing calling the police.
I have to say I have a female relative that lives alone and she recently got a few cold callers, nothing like you experienced but nevertheless she felt vulnerable. We looked into putting a double glazed porch on her doorway, she went ahead and she wishes she'd done it years ago, she can open the front door with the porch door locked when callers come to read meters etc and get a good look at their ID before letting them in.

Rachel, thats awful i'm so sorry to hear what happened. I hope they catch him. :grouphug:

Just sending you a hug Rachel - what a horrible experience

thanks soo much everbody:flower3:
feeling a bit calmer now Iwill just be more careful when answering the door
