In memorial of my Grandfather who passed 25th March 1998

I know it may be odd putting this here(I didnt really know were to post it), but the last amazing memory I have with him is the happy & wonderful days I spent with him at Disney world Xmas 11 years ago . Tommorow is the anniversary of his passing and I wanted to remember him from those times and say hello if he's listening.

Thinking good thoughts for you and your wonderful memories of your Grandfather today! My Grandparents died when I was young (my Dad's parents died before I was born) and I miss that I didn't have much of a relationship with them. I make sure my kids spend as much time as possible with their Grandparents - we are fortunate that both sets are still alive. My parents are 78 & 83 and still play an active role in my kids lives (kids are 5 & 9).

So glad you have your happy memories of him! Have you written them down to remember???

Thats a good idea , I think I will write them down. He really made us all laugh. We have a lot of video of him & I havent been able to watch it since before he died. We even have our Disney holiday together on video . May it is time to have a look again. I think I will try and find some pictures of him.

Gracey - I just thought of something else....do you scrapbook? Perhaps you could put a book together of pictures of your beloved Grandfather and write your memories and feelings for him. It would be a wonderful way for your little one to get to know her Great-Grandfather! (Wish I had something like that about mine...all I have is their tombstones at the cemetery..)

Scrapbook idea is good to show my little girl when she is older. Will have to have a think , I might have to work out how to get pictures from the videos I have.
