In less than 24 hours, i'll be at disneyland! UPDATED! thoughts, foodporn, Napa ROSE!

OMG YUM!!!!!!!! I want to do Napa Rose with DBF......that sounds and looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo delish!!!!!

May I ask how much your course ended up costing? I know they offer the prixe fixe menu (3 courses, 1 dessert), but it looks like you got more courses than that.

Actually, they charged me the same price for the Vintner's table - $80 or so but I think the experience is only available at the counter. It was well worth it.

Also, these entrees were all available on the regular menu; however, because I got more courses they were tasting portions (the regular pheasant entree came with three medallions, the regular short ribs came with three instead of two). I was absolutely stuffed, so don't worry about being hungry either.

What a fun report--thank you for sharing! That Napa Rose dinner looked DIVINE...oh, my mom would love that so much. How fun to let the chef choose for you!

(Re: Tiana's show, it was canceled Saturday because of a speaker problem, reportedly in the Mark Twain?)

I'm sorry about your candies. :( Did they look like they were from the store? I could imagine them getting re-shelved, or hopefully picked up by accident/taken to lost and found. That may be wishful thinking though. :( Did you bring it up with a clerk?

Oh, and yes, the abruptness of Snow White's Scary Adventures in particular makes me LOL! :) I suppose you know they were originally designed to be from the character's POV, so Snow White/etc. weren't even shown in the rides? I think that's kind of interesting...though it doesn't really explain the abruptness... I liked Snow White in WDW much more.

Thanks for reading! It was a Disneyland shopping bag from Main Street, so I don't think an employee reshelved them. I did ask a clerk, but they couldn't find them, and if they were picked up usually they throw away candies :(. Oh well, next time.

I haven't been on the WDW of Snow White but the DLR one makes me chuckle every time.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. :( Someone else somewhere was posting that her (?) camera had been lost/stolen. I'm always super-careful, but I hope Disneyland isn't getting to be a place where you can't trust anyone. :(

Oh thank you for giving such a detailed report on the Napa Rose. We're doing the Chef's Counter in 12 days and I can't wait. But I know that DH is a little apprehensive with the whole idea of letting someone else choose, so this will help tremendously!! :thumbsup2 Glad you had a great time!!

It's a great, amazing, spectacular experience. The chef asks you what foods you like and what foods you don't, so you will not be stuck with food to which you have an aversion.

Have a delicious time!

Thanks for the reviews! We have a PS for Napa Rose for next Friday. I'd love to sit at the counter but when I asked about that, Disney Dining said they couldn't specify seating. It sounds like that might not be the case?

Hmmm. Whoever you spoke with did not know what they were talking about - You can't request it through Disney Dining, but can request it through the restaurant. They should have directed you to the restaurants direct line (714) 956-6755. They have seatings at 5:30 and 8 pm, I believe. I don't know if many people know about it, so you might still be able to request. I went on a Friday night, and I was the only person seated at the counter.

Good luck and have a great meal.
