I was just looking over my plans and the day we're in HS, I made an ADR for dinner in Epcot. I know it's really easy to walk the mile down around the lake, or to take the boat and deal with all the stops, but would leave HS just to get lunch or would you eat in the park?

I personally would stay at the park (JMO) I don't like to hop that often unless It is something like going to Epcot for a late dinner and to see IllumiNations. Then I say go for it but if you are in HS and just go to EP to eat and then plan on going back to HS that is just alot of travel time and such that I would advise to skip. I would look into something like 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi for lunch and then if you wanted to eat dinner at Epcot if you are not planning on going to Fantasmic if offered that night then I would do that instead of jumping over there for lunch..

The only exception that I would make is if you have Le Cellier. That is a hard reservation to get and I would do the traveling for that one but if it something that you could change for another date or change it to a dinner and have lunch in HS I would go that route.

I would not hop for lunch and then go back to DHS. That gets very time consuming in my book. Now if you are talking about enjoying DHS for the day, then going over to Epcot for a meal and then staying there, that is different.

I like to park hop, but not to just eat if that makes sense.

If you really want to leave Studios just to eat, I suggest eating in the Boardwalk area (ESPN and Big River Grille are both tasty for lunch) or to one of the resort restaurants at Beach Club or Yacht Club. Any of those would be closer to Studios and also not involve the whole issue of getting into Epcot through a bag check and turnstile.

I know DHS isn't known for its dining, however there is enough there to find something for lunch. We enjoy Pizza Planet, Fairfax Fare (enjoy their salad and dh likes their bbq okay) and we love Sci Fi and Prime Time for a full serve meal. In my opinion the food at DHS is not so bad I have to go outside the park to eat. I may not make a special trip there just to dine like I do at Epcot but I find the food at DHS about as good as MK and AK.

I think that day we are going to be in HS, but I booked the Wishes Dessert Party for that night. So eventually we will be going to MK, but I got two lunch reservations for Le Cellier. One on that day and one on a Sunday and I want to see Fanstamic! All the packages are sold out as of right now. I've always wanted to eat at Prime Time. :headache: Augh! I hate being at work with out my Disney notebook and my plans of what parks we want to be in.

I never do the package because my two favorite places at DHS don't particiapte (Sci Fi and Prime Time). In fact, Sci Fi is about our favorite place to eat in WDW, we just love the atmosphere and stick to the burgers and shakes!

Its tough coordinating DHS now that Fantasmic only runs two days a week in the off season!

I say keep the Le Cellier reservation on that Sunday and just do DHS for Fantasmic.

I tour DHS that way now. Do the park and its rides and shows on a non Fantasmic day when its sure to be less crowded, then just go for Fantasmic only on the day its showing. Fantasmic makes DHS a nuthouse when it runs so I avoid it (DHS) during the day on F! days.

It depends... If you have another day at HS or you think that you can get everything you need done before you leave the park for dinner than i think Park Hopping is fine. But if you planned on going back into HS then i would try for an ADR at 50s PTC or Sci-Fi. (IMO, 50s is really good as far as food but the waiting area is packed with people and the tables are close together. Sci-Fi has one of the best atmospheres but the food is not as good. I am trying Sci-Fi again this trip so it may be better this time though :goodvibes)

I have wanted to try Prime Time since it opened. The added bonus would be if we got a server in character. I would love to see them get after my BF! :lmao: Maybe I'm just evil? I know we're spilting a couple days between two parks, like going to the Wishes! Dessert party, I don't mind the traveling from place to place as long as I get to be at Disney! I need to prove Disney is NOT just for kids to him, he just doesn't understand.

I would hop only because I never spend the whole day in a single park. And I can't find anything for a CS I enjoy at DHS.

If I had my kids with me, I'd definitely stay in the park. If it was just me and DH or we were with a group of adults, I wouldn't mind venturing out. It just seems like it'd eat up so much time.
