Here are some of the things I heard over and over growing up:
"Close that door--I'm not paying to air condition the neighborhood!"
"You make a better door than a window!" (to anyone blocking the TV)
"Favors extended become rights demanded!"
"Your mother is often wrong, but never in doubt."
(In response to the question "Where are we going now, Dad?")
"Where do we go when there's no place else to go?"
Our disappointed answer: HOME.
