Well some questions were asked.
Most of important, what we bought at the
Disney Store, Cinderella plush, minnie mouse pencils, minnie mouse book, and cinderella jigsaw. Also got a princess magazine.
2. She needs a MRI scan to try and confirm she has very mild cerebal palsay.
Well today got up a little late, i set the alarm for 6pm instead of 6am, never mind all showerd bathed and DH and i had a sly breakfast.
Off to hospital, checks in at the day unit, Chloe of weighed and checked over, DR did find that chloe has spots on her tonsils, just a virus, nothing else, so on with the oral sedation.
Nurse says we can give it to her early and she can have an early scan,
Well her appointment was at 10am, 10am passes and chloe still wide wake, starting to get a little drowsy, quite funny, both of us were laughing, she seemed to be a little drunk. Then onto the the irrate stage, finally at 1040ish she falls asleep.
10 mins later the nurse says we have to make our way to the MRI unit, either by us carrying her or us to sit in a wheelchair and have a porter push us. So my thinking was she was sedated i would carry her, this is where it goes a little wrong.
Not sedated enough she woke up, so in the MRI unit we place her on a bed and try to get her asleep again, ZZZZ so then they move her again from the bed to another bed then place earmuffs on, starting to stir again.
eyes close and into the scanner she goes, of course i am standing at the end fo the scanner, Chloe starts to wake and cry, starts to shout for me "mammy i want out get me off the bed" Of course i start to get upset, and nurse attends to me whilst DH was with Chloe, (WHO STUPID DO I FEEL NOW!!!!)
Any way the scanner man comes in and says she is miving to much and pull chloe out of the scanner, only to find the earmuffs are not on her ear so she could hear the noises.
Back up to the ward for her to fall asleep into a deep sleep.
Back onto the ward, i lie on the bed with a very upset and angry little girl who did not want to go asleep, yep you guessed it she starts to come around from the sedation.
So we have to go back in May for the injection version apparently this will definately knock her out (yeah right)
Back home now with a little girl who is in and out of dopeyness, bless her.
She had her funny moments, trying to lose her temper when she has no control over her limbs, she was drunk
It must be very worrying for you (and your DD) - I remember when my DD had to have a general at 6 weeks old and I couldn't even go down with her for the anaesthetic. I have never been more relieved in my life than when they brought her back up to the ward and she started to come round
