In feverish planning stage...

Well, here we are in the throws of planning...

Looks like we are going in...drum roll please...May! I guess my son and I will be celebrating our birthdays on our trip.

We looked at booking packages through American Airlines Vacations, Virgin, and several others (Virgin was the only one that had a convenient London/Paris package), but we found that when travelling with children, it's just best to diy!

So we will be spending 3 nights in London and 4 in Paris. We decided to just stay at the Movenpick Hotel at the Disney resort while in Paris since it's so difficult to find lodging to accomodate the 4 of us (they have those cool rooms with the big king bed for us and the bunk beds for the kids)! I imagine it will be a pain to go in and out of Paris from there...but my kids travel well, so we will manage.

Anyway, I can't wait!

You can get to Paris fairly easily on the RER.It takes about 40 mins. You can get a train/bus /tube ticket that will last you 1/2/3 days.

Oh, wonderful! That is what we will do then...a 3-day pass should do it then.

Just received my brand new used 2004-2005 Simon. It is great not only for the parks but so much on how to get about. In the Deep South we have no concept of "mass transportation". The Board is so helpful but I fele like a complete idiot when I ask the SAME question over and over. Now no one will ever know how many times I have to look up that bit of info.. Thanks to all for leading me to this book. Grannywishes

I know you weren't talking to me...but thanks so much for saying that! I, too, feel a bit "idiotic" and have a lot of questions I want to ask, but, well, feel a little silly asking. My first trip to Europe was just two months ago, and there is so much to learn when visiting another country--or two (especially another continent!).

Kit, it is A Brits Guide to Disneyland Paris written by Simon Veness. Us Brits all swear by the version for Orlando and WDW and this is the Disneyland Paris book. If you scroll to the bottom of Simon's post here you will see a picture of the book and a link. There is an updated version due out next month. I personally think it is the best guide book for DLP and a "must-have".
