In a half hour, one my kids will be happy and the other miserable!!

Today, our local middle school held their field day. The school is divided up into 2 teams, red and blue. In all the past years, the teams were decided by last name - my kids have always been on the blue team. This year, they divided the teams by classrooms and I have 1 child on red and the other on blue!! All I heard this morning is "Red will kick blue's butt!" "No way! Blue's gonna cream you!" When they come home, you can imagine what this house is going to sound like!! I miss the elementary level when all the kids are on the same side!

They will forget about it soon enough hopefully, with summer coming up!

Our field day puts siblings on the same team to avoid those rivalries at home.

This has been the first time this has ever happened! Don't know why they decided to change after all these years.........maybe they needed to raise more money selling Field Day t-shirts (I had to buy a new red one for my son since he couldn't wear the blue one )
