Subbing!

I'm late going to lunch today...and these yummy pictures are not helping!
Yet, I want more...

Great reviews! Yet another NKOTB fan here....my Dad just found a box of memrobilia...including a pillowcase. I'm going to Atlantic City to see them...maybe I should bring it!!!!

At this point in time, maybe you are wondering why I haven't even mentioned our snacks. Well, the truth is...up until this point we hadn't had any snacks. I know....it is shocking. But the DDP is SO MUCH FOOD. Plus we had ordered snack stuff for our room from Garden Grocer. But, this morning we got an idea...

This morning we headed out to DHS (oh that is so hard to type, I still want to say MGM) and after the Tweedles rode Rock n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Tower they were hungry. And a hungry Tweedle is not a happy Tweedle. We had only mere minutes until we started hearing "Feed Me Seymour," so we had to act fast. Plus, it was a good time for a break because we had 20 minutes to kill until we could get another set of FPs. Starring Rolls was the closest place, so that is where we went to sit, replenish, and prevent the emergency that is a grumpy Tweedle. Was it the most cost efficient use of our snacks? Probably not. A chocolate croissant is under $3. But we were hungry and we had snacks to burn (24 to be exact).

Seating at Starring Rolls is pretty limited. It became my job to get us a table, which meant aimlessly wandering close to other table and staring at people without seeming like I was staring or being pushy. Finally, a table opened up and I claimed it by planting my flag and declaring it one small step for disney-kind.

So while I was hunting tables, the boys were inside gathering our food.

I had a soda and a chocolate croissant.

As an aside, I really wish Disney would get Coke Zero and Cherry Coke Zero. I hate diet coke and am left drinking regular coke all during the trip. Ugh.
Anyways, the croissant was good. The chocolate on top did completely flaked off though and I couldn't really enjoy it without licking the plate. So I did what any red-blooded chocolate-loving girl would do....I licked the plate.

David had a cinnamon roll and a soda. He gave me a tiny bite of the cinnamon roll in exchange for a bite of my croissant. It was excellent. And I vowed that I would get a cinnamon roll the next time.

Tweedle Dee also got a cinnamon roll. To drink he had a chocolate milk. It is so strange, but he is seriously like a little kid when it comes to his chocolate milk. He would drink it every day!

Tweedle Dum got a chocolate muffin and a soda. And thank goodness for tide to go sticks. Poor Tweedle Dum got chocolate from his muffin ALL over his shirt. He is way too old for a bib, but I swear every time we ate somewhere he spilled something on his shirt.

Thanks to this breakfast of champions, we had now gathered the strength we needed to wage all out war with each other on Toy Story Mania. After that we planned to get more FPs, meet Mike Wazowski, and get pizza.

That cinnamon roll looks really really good! We've been thinking about trying this place one morning on our next trip and I think your pictures have sealed the deal as far as I'm concerned. Yummmmm! :lmao:

Will they make the chicken wrap at Pecos Bill without hte chicken or is it pre made. I am a vegatarian and it looks good I just do not eat the chicken. Thanks :cool2:

Well as if I didn't already have enough places at DHS that I missed last time and "must-do" this time....

Add Starring Rolls to that list!

I am drooling on my keyboard looking at that croissant....and the chocolate muffin....and the cinnamon roll....

Yum - O!

.

Mmm...can't wait to eat there even if it's only for a CS meal! We plan on eating lunch there there on our DHS day coming up because they have a great selection of pastries you can choose as dessert and have different sandwiches they make each day as well. Something different besides burgers and chicken fingers!

Please tell me you will write a complete trip report when you finish your dining report! I want to hear about your whole trip now!

Love, love your review. I needed a good laugh today. Thanks. Can't wait to hear more. I have a 5 yr. old picky eater but as long as there is bread he should be good. Your review is very helpful.

how come I can't see the pictures on this thread? I love me some luscious food porn...

Have no problem seeing pics on any other reviews:confused3

What a spaceport!

After having my butt soundly beat on TSM by a 15 year old (I swear its because he plays so many video games), getting my photo with Mike Wazowski, and riding Tower of Tower, I was hungry. Of course, just when hunger strikes...the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down. David and I dutifully pulled on our ponchos and made a run for Toy Story Pizza Planet. Which, for those familiar with the layout of DHS, is clear on the other side of the park from Tower of Terror. But we had made an agreement with the Tweedles and I would rather risk getting drenched in a torrential downpour than face the wrath of a grumpy, hungry Tweedle. The Tweedles had ponchos as well. But they were too cool for them. Cool people apparently don't mind getting drenched. I guess I stopped being cool when I hit 10 (if I was even cool then).

Anyways, after a mad dash we made it to Toy Story Pizza Planet. Tweedle Dee wanted pizza and he wanted to see one thing .... the claw. Unfortunately, there wasn't a giant claw for him to see. Which, as an aside...there should be! But there were many aliens hanging from the ceiling. OOOOOHHHHHH! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

And the place was packed. Everyone wanted to get out of the rain. And since it was 12:30ish, everyone was also hungry. I went upstairs and hunted down a table, yet again. Table safari was quickly becoming my forté. David and the Tweedles took care of ordering all of the food. Since I was sitting alone at a table, I was acutely aware of how long everything took. It was about 20 minutes from the time they got in line until the time the food got upstairs.

So what all do you get at Pizza Planet? Well I was thinking that it would just be pretty bad pizza and that yet again I would be sacrificing my palate for the sake of family harmony. Turned out I was wrong.

First, the meal came with a salad. And, while it wasn't a gourmet salad, it did give me an excuse to eat ranch. So of course I enjoyed it. Seriously though, the salad wasn't half bad, even though it looks blurry here.

As for the pizza, well everyone but Tweedle Dum got pepperoni. (He got plain cheese). And I was surprised because the pizza was actually pretty good.

IMG_1583.jpg

For dessert....well they had Mickey Rice Krispies, which are always popular. Unfortunately these did not come with chocolate ears like the ones at Liberty Tavern in Epcot. But they were still good. I wish I could get my rice krispies that light and airy.

IMG_1586.jpg

All in all, not a bad spot. And so much food!

IMG_1588.jpg

I would absolutely eat here again. David thought it was a nice change of pace from burgers for lunch and agreed that the pizza was actually pretty good.

And the Tweedles, well we tried to send them home with Sid...but he (like the claw) was no where to be found. Plus, the Tweedles actually ate all of their food. Well, not all. They aren't salad people. But I think they really liked it. Of course they didn't say that they liked it. So, how do I know? Well on our last day at WDW, we let the Tweedles pick whichever park they wanted to go to and told them to meet us later. They went back to DHS for some more TSM, RRC, and ToT (obviously this was their favorite park) and they went back to Pizza Planet for lunch.

So Pizza Planet = Tweedles pickey eater stamp of approval. :cool1:

We went to O'hana's once and he ate a portion of the salad, saltines and threw up in the bathroom.

He won't try the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier.

He's eaten PB&J's at Jiko's and Artist's Point. He ate applesauce and white bread rolls at Biergarten. He didn't even want the desserts!

My DH probably knows every restaurant in WDW that either serves burgers, chicken fingers or PB&J's. Hot dogs, mac and cheese and chicken strips are right out.

I'll keep reading and learning what my now 12 year old who might reasonably be expected to eat off the adult menu will find to be completely unacceptable.

Thanks!
