In 2031, the NFL will NO LONGER be in Missouri.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be moving to the Kansas side of the metro in 2031! This is still subject to change. The STAR bonds were quite attractive for the franchise.

The cost? The state of Missouri and its fans.

Okay sure. 😂 😂 Throw a tantrum, but I'm sure the Chiefs have as many fans in Kansas as they do in Missouri. I'm a Chiefs and Mr Pfizer... AKA Mr Swift hater..... and unfortunately I think you will be fine as long as your quarterback recovers.....and that's is an unknown.

Nah, I agree with the poster. If a sports team leaves your town, bitter fans. I'm sure they'll keep 98% of their fan base but they'll lose some just b/c they moved.

Missouri had an opportunity to keep the team and they declined. By the time the new stadium opens Arrowhead will be nearly 70 years old. Seems like it's a little over the top to complain about this.
But I understand your point that there are always gonna be some bitter fans.

Lose some? Probably. According to OP, they'll lose all though.

When are communities going to stop giving money to Billionaire sports team owners who employ millionaire players? They can afford to built their own stadiums and arenas. Sacramento got caught up in that......."build it and we'll get an NBA Allstar game". 9 years later, still waiting. Seems the NBA requires 2,500 more hotel rooms than we have for a city to be considered for an Allstar game. And currently rooms are being taken out of service and turned into long term housing for the homeless.

Good grief. The KC Chiefs are moving a short distance across the border between the states.
Missouri had an opportunity to keep the team and they declined. Shrug.
An opportunity to give the Hunt Family billions in corporate welfare? What a deal. Missouri should have involved Brett Farve. He just worked with Mississippi state officials to redirect welfare funds that were for low income residents and used them to build an arena.

This movie just might be the nudge that Chicago ownership needs to go ahead and move to Northwest Indiana. Consider that, the founding NFL franchise leaving Illinois just because the Governor wants to look tough and presidential. Illinois's loss will be Indiana's gain. The location being considered is approx 20 min drive to downtown Chicago--just to give some an idea of location to the city.

Wouldn't Indiana taxpayers want their funds used for schools, roads, public safety? Do you really think they are ok with corporate welfare?

One area where California politicians are making he right call. They forced the team owners to fund their own stadiums.
