Hi CapeGirl!

I totally understand. I regularly review my list and remove players who have not been on in a month. Ahhhh, but there are some I have a difficult time removing.
I haven't had the heart to remove Surferrat, I keep hoping he will return someday soon. It took me a long time to remove PixieBella, I still miss her sense of humor. FrankieBoy is another that comes to mind although he has returned on occassion.
It like a friend who has move a few miles away. You want to be able to visit if they are in the neighborhood.

As a CL I add and remove players all the time. I think 200 on the friends list would still not be enough to keep everyone on that I have come in contact with. I have just been asked to be a sponser for the Beta Kids Club and take that request most seriuosly. I know I will want to add the kids to my list if they are not already there.
I see a serious list cleaning in my future as well. As IRL, friendships and interests ebb and flow. We ought to be adult enough to understand.

Well, you know CapeGirl, there have been many, many nights when I have cried myself to sleep because I've never been on your friends list. But now I see the bright side: I don't have to worry about making "the cut."

I have more than one character. My main character's friend list is full, and in fact has 99 requests outstanding for friends. If I interact with somebody and want to add them to my list, I ask them. I occasionally have to search through my friends list and see people who haven't played in a month and delete them. My secondary character will accept any and all friend requests, but with my primary I am more choosy.

Something just happened that bothered me. While I was waiting for a pirate game to start, I saw Guest-whatever number asking if anyone would be his friend. Then someone came into the lobby and started talking to me so I got distracted. Then I saw Guest-whatever number say "Please? Will anybody?" So quickly I clicked on him and clicked on "Ask to be Friend" and then I got the "You or the other person you're asking has a full friend list..." or whatever it says. Then the game started so I did not have a chance to clear someone off my list so I could add him. Immediately after the game, I went to every single Pirate lobby, looking for him, but to no avail

So here's where all of you come in: I am asking your understanding when I say that I will be deleting almost everyone from my friend list. In all honesty, out of 150 people on the list, I only talk to *maybe* 10 on a regular basis. Everyone else on the list is there simply because they're a DIS member. I wish our friend lists did not have a limit. But because they do, and because I really am feeling the need to befriend some of these kids, I am going to clear almost everyone off my list now.

If you have a problem with this, PLEASE send me a PM. And please, please do not be insulted if you get deleted from my list. Like I said, I am basically going to delete almost everyone at this point.

I'm sorry, and I hope that this does not hurt anyone's feelings. You know, maybe some of you have wanted to delete ME and thought it would hurt my feelings, well now is your chance to be rid of me off your lists

I bumped this old thread because this has been happening to me alot at the pirates game.

I find myself helping kids get through pirates everyday and they need a place on my list because of Pirates throwing you out to different rooms and disconnects.

Like Terry said I have a full list of which I hardly ever see alot of the people on my list so I too will be deleting most everyone from my main character, Too's, list effective today.

I do have several friends I see almost everyday or very often and of course my pirate buddies will all have to stay.

Also like Terry said please do not feel insulted if you are removed from my list and if you would really like to be put back on in the future you can just find me in the game. Should not be hard I am in Pirates most of the time.

I am not a CL but as some of you know I spend most afternoons helping kids with quests.... (I heart that captains quarters room) I hate saying.... sorry my list if full to these kids... (sometimes I dont mind say it... other times I do lol)
Sooooooo if I happen to delelte you please dont feel bad, it was because I needed to put a kid on my list....

I totally understand it is really hard saying no to a child especially when they are new and need a friend.

The Friend's List Problem is difficult for everyone.

This is what I do. I go into my friends list weekly and delete anyone that has not logged into VMK in the past two weeks.

This give me room to accept new friends. The new friends I check for taken, bay be, and rich in their name discription. If they do they are an automatic delete.

Since I have started doing this I always have room for a new friends.
