Hi, everyone:
As you know, the DIS has guidelines prohibiting for sale posts on the boards. Here on the Collectors Board we have had an exception allowing members to sell pins at cost plus reasonable shipping. This is to allow board members to pick up pins for their online friends and be reimbursed. And let's face it; sometimes a trade can't be agreed upon but an agreement on reimbursing someone for the cost of the pin can. Certain pins, such as Gift With Purchase pins and cast member only pins, can not be sold and can only be traded as they either have no retail value assigned to them or they are not available to the general public.
The McDonalds Disney happy meals and other free premiums such as this fall under this latter guideline. They can be traded but can not be offered for sale or purchase. They are free premiums given with the purchase of the meal. Yes, many stores sell the toys separately, but the toys are not intended for individual purchase and there is no consistent price for which ALL McDonalds sell the toys.
If you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to ask any of the moderators.
Thanks,
The Collectors Board moderators
